Doug's Handyman Service

Description of Work: Doug's Handyman performed some odd jobs around my home in preparation for sale. I also used one of his plumbers to do repair work in our master bath. I was very pleased with the work and am compiling a list of this to turn over to him later this fall.

Description of Work: Remodel Living and Dining Room. Painted remodeled area and several other area of our home. Initially, we were very pleased and we requested that they remodel our kitchen. We were told that they were already booked up, but there was a possibility they might be able to do our kitchen at the end of March. We never heard back from them. It is probably for the best, because although we were very happy initially, over time we have found things unfinished and even totally missed. I think that they just have too much on their plate and are overwhelmed by demand. I feel pretty sad about all that transpired, because I really like Doug and his associate. | |

Description of Work: I called this business twice as I had just moved into a home that had several things that needed repairs. No one answered either time. Left messages with phone number. Never received a call back. So would never use. Can't get a callback.

Description of Work: They do all the work at my home. Last summer, they researched and installed a metal ramp off the deck. They power wash and stained the deck, front porch and lakeside deck. They installed a beautiful deck railing. | |They also did roof repairs, electric and plumbing repairs. | |Great to work with, honest and trust worthy.

Description of Work: Installed toilet, reworked dryer vent, fixed closet door. Everything was fine, but the toilet tank was not square to the wall. They did come out to fix it and it is now fine. The reason for the 'B' grade was that I thought they could have been more responsive.

Description of Work: I purchased a package for a few hours of service. I needed several jobs done including: the patching of drywall and especially damaged corners damaged by a wheelchair; the installation of a new sheet of drywall that had broken loose from the ceiling in my garage; installation of a new faucet that I had purchased for the kitchen sink and some related under-sink plumbing; and the rehanging of a hanging (ceiling) lamp on the front porch. My handyman did an excellent job on all of these tasks and charged a fair amount for the extra time it took beyond the purchased hours. I would recommend them highly.

They were very quick to contact me to schedule services, however, I just haven't had an opportunity to get the supplies that I need in order for them to do the job, so right now things are on hold, due only to my own procrastination.
