When I called, they called back immediately. Carlo show up the next day to look over what needed to be done and responded the next day with a price. A date was set, and they showed up and did the work. Many co-owners remarked on their professionalism and efficiency, Would recommend them to others and would hire them again. It doesn't get much better than that.

Early in July obtained quotes from 3 suppliers - all well-rated on Angie's List. Signed the contract with Metropolitan Concrete on July 19, and requested that work be delayed til after Aug 23 because of vacations. We chose Metropolitan because they seemed to have the most experience in stamped concrete work, and they provided the most options. Their crew came out on the afternoon of Aug 26 and set up forms, leveled the ground, added a gravel base, compacted it, and put down steel mesh and re-bar. The crew showed up at 6:30 am on the 27th, but they were rained out. They came again on the 28th and had the pouring and stamping done by noon. The patio and sidewalk were power washed on the 29th, and a sealer was applied on the 30th. It was a pleasure working with the people from Metropolitan. Brian (salesman) was very helpful in making various decisions. Jim (supervisor) helped finalize some details that we had left undecided and had no problem with some minor changes. Juan (foreman) was helpful and cooperative. We are very pleased with our patio and front sidewalk. They are very attractive and definitely enhance the value of our house.

I couldn't be happier with the finished product, although it is very different from what we originally contracted for and we ended up spending much more than our original estimate. There were a few communication issues between the original estimate and the start of actual work, which I know was partially due to backup with the rain we had in early summer. I decided not to reflect that in my overall grading of this contractor because once the job started I have nothing but positive comments and love the end product. The project manager, Jim, was particularly great to work with, and he and staff were hard working, punctual and very professional. They cleaned up after themselves. Originally I contracted to have a cement cap removed(due to improper pitch and water pooling with rains) and replaced on the top of an existing double tiered patio, which involved removing a cement railing. As the work progressed, some issues were apparent involving the underlying structure, which was crumbling and not sturdy. Additional work was needed, and I was given a number of options by the project manager. I ended up choosing to spend more to get a replacement support wall, some additional square footage, and some continuous steps down to my yard which resulted in not having to install a new railing which we had originally planned. I was not pressured into any particular option but was happy to have choices as I would never have known about the possibilities. There was little time between the prep work and the actual pouring, therefore the job was completed in a timely manner, including the sealing. The stamped work is beautiful, and just what I wanted. After I received the original quote, I was able to stop by the company's yard and see the actual product. The stamp and color are perfect selections for my house. I have received many compliments on my new patio, and we are enjoying it immensely! I would highly recommend this company based on my experience.

Brian was here within four (4) days of my initial call. Very knowledgeable and professional during visit and he took time to answer questions and explain general information about concrete driveways. He offered several options, without pushing one over another and listened well to my specific concerns. Had the complete quote within 48 hours, which was FAR faster than any other contractor in August (50% never call back! Guess the economy has turned around and everyone's too busy to quote new business!). Anyway, we decided to replace our current asphalt with asphalt again, otherwise if we had chosen concrete we would have selected Metro.

They were okay, came out and look. They came out and give you an estimate but there's nothing really exceptional about it.

I would highly recommend this company. Marco was very helpful in planning out our project. They have a wonderful website where you can see all kinds of colors and designs for concrete work and stamping. The workman are very skilled and they did the work themselves. They did not sub-contract, and they had a very reasonable price. The work was done in a timely manner (so the Halloween Trick or Treaters could get to the house!). Clean-up was continuous. It's been 4 years and there have been no problems, no cracks or anything. Neighbors still comment on how nice it all looks. It made such a difference in our 'Curb Appeal'!
