McQuade Heating & Cooling

Went well from what I know. I was at work when the service was performed therefore I cannot rate the quality. Nothing mentioned to my wife other than the check-up was complete and that my heater was in a new condition; as it should be since it's only 3 years old. The gentlemen did leave some brochures for heater humidifiers and air filtering systems; items I really wasn't asking for.

Performed service as scheduled orderly and neatly.

I am considering purchasing additonal services from the company.0

I purchased the big deal. They told me I needed a new furnace as my heat exchanger was cracked. I called two other places to come out and check it and both of them told me that it wasn't cracked as far as they could tell so I really don't know what to say about them. They just told me I needed a whole new furnace so I got a second and third opinion and they told me I didn't. I don't want to give them a bad rap because they actually had some kind of camera and the other two companies didn't but I don't smell gas and the furnace is still working. They got me a camera, showed me a picture and told me that it was my furnace but for all I know it could have been a picture that he brought in here with him and just told me it was bad hoping that I would buy a new furnace from them.

Excellent, they were very neat and took pride in their work. I would definitely recommend them again.

Our furnace quit working during one of the coldest 2 days in rectne Michigan history - The company that originally installed our furnace said it would be at least two days before they could come out. I checked on angie's list and found McQuade Heating, Cooling. They were able to send someone out within 4 hours of my call. Mike, their service tech, arrived early, was very knowledgeable, explained what he was doing and why. Short story - in less than a half our we had heat. Because of their promt and quality work we now have a new heating and cooling service company - also one that we will use for annual checkups.

Workmanship was excellent. Personable and Professional.

THEY CAME 1ST THING IN THE MORNING, WE ASKED THAT THEY USE THE BACK DOOR, BECAUSE OF THE WEATHER. THEY DID USE THE BACK DOOR AS ASKED. THE OLD FURNACE WAS A MESS, BUT WHEN I RETURNED FROM WORK, EVERYTHING WAS REMOVED & CLEANED UP. GREAT JOB!

Absolutely wonderful! I felt like any questions I asked wasn't a bother and they were not pushy. I needed a new furnace but it wasn't like you need it tomorrow and I just appreciated the manner of the technician and he was very skilled and showed me different things that I could look for. So I was very impressed and I think I would probably go through them to get a new furnace. There was some kind of situation that needed longer time but once the technician was here he took an extra amount of time.

Service tech gave advice on state of furnace and likely available service life. Also described an improved system configuration when the appropriate time comes for system replacement.

I do not have anything good to say about my experience with the tech or the (supposed) owner whom I later spoke with on the telephone. Tech quoted a $600 plumbing total bath/shower faucet install for a minor drip that my brother ended up repairing in less than an hour with a couple of washers. Owner said he would not cash our $90 ck for service call -- tech did not even take a look at plumbing beyond the outer visual of the faucet -- but they did cash the ck anyway. I feel this company took advantage of us - - my husband is retired, elderly, and can be too trusting of salesmen...

I had them come out to do an inspection and cleaning on my 25 year old furnace, During the inspection it was discovered that the heat exchanger had a crack in it. So they were required to shut of the furnace of. I spent a couple of days deciding what to do. I called them on a friday around 10 am to go ahead and come install the new furnace and they had two installers out by 12 the same day to do a basic install so my family would have heat for the weekend. Than they came and finished the install on tuesday of the next week. The two guys who came out were great, they were very punctual and professional as well as personable. Will need a new air conditioner soon and will defiantly be calling these guys to come and do it.

Technician arrived on time. I did not have any history on this older furnace, so he thoroughly explained each part and the condition he found it in as he went through the inspection & tune-up. Multiple problems were discussed, and I was given options and suggestions to consider. He also cleaned the humidifier and checked to ensure it was running correctly. He gave me a written estimate on the cost of a new furnace if I should decide to replace my current one. Mike was very professional. I appreciated the time he spent with me to make sure I understood the condition of the furnace. I was very comfortable, as he did not pressure me to make a quick decision on replacing my current equipment. I will definitely use McQuade again.

Mike B. came to my home to service the furnace before winter arrives. He discovered severe rust in two major components with his camera and fluid leaks on the floor of the furnace. It turns out this model had a history of this. None of the other service people, including the company that installed the furnace, checked and caught this problem. The holes left the possibility that we might be harmed by carbon monoxide or a potential fire. The furnace was turned off and two installers were sent out that evening to do a mini-install so I had heat until they could return to do the full install two days later. This is the second time Mike's thoroughness caught a major problem with the Rheem equipment and the install. This summer he caught a problem with the Rheem A/C at my daughter's home. Had it not been spotted she may have lost the A/C and furnace. The Rheem equipment had to be replaced and many installation errors had to be corrected. The owners, office staff , service techs and installers at this company are just the nicest people to deal with. Their service is unusual in this day and age! Thanks to everyone at McQuades!!!

They did a very good job cleaning the condenser and checking the line.highly recommended.

We were contacted approximately 20 min. before service tech arrived in the prearranged time frame. Barry was very polite, knowledgeable, and thorough. He spent approximately 1 hour inspecting the furnace for safe operation, cleaning the drain which was quite plugged up, and checking all the circuits for proper operation. He suggested a new thermostat but said the one we had was OK. He never tried to sell us something we did not need. With the coupon on Angie's List, this was a very good price for the work performed. I will definitely use Mcquade Heating and Cooling in the future if any heating or air conditioning problems arise.

The air conditioner needed some A C refrigerant which he added .

My initial service man, Mike, was amazing, very informative of my issues, and helped me with the proper solutions without any pressure at all. Wade and Jack arrived right on time (4 days later) Sat am. It was not ordinary for them to work on Sat. They did it to accommodate my schedule. They were very friendly, neat, and clean. Workmanship was exceptional, keeping me knowledgeable the whole way. After discussion of other issues I was having they added several extra jobs to their day (at no additional cost to me) - even returning to the shop for parts to complete the jobs that day. They absolutely left my home cleaner and safer than they arrived. I will never need to look for a heating, cooling, and plumbing service again. McQuade is it for me and all I can refer to!! I thought this type of service was gone - what a joy.

Great. Cleaned and maintained A/C unit then came inside to remove and clean blower. Discovered our heat exchanger was cracked and we have since had it repaired.

Job completed as promised. Provided advice on replacement.

Went very well. Not cheap, but we knew there were some maintenance issues and believed the technician when he said they needed to be addressed. The old freon is very expensive because it is not made anymore. The units work much better than they did before.

COMPANY DOES NOT KEEP ITS COMITMENTS

Another vendor installed an A/C 6 years ago and it was pieced together and uses the now illegal Freon. The evaporator was leaking badly and we had to decided whether to repair this large part on an old system with the old Freon or just bite the bullet and replace the system with a new one that is up to code. We chose the latter option. The installers were amazing. They ran into problem after problem with the old install and had to make many corrections.They were patient and thorough in every task they did and went well above what was expected to be sure all the problems with this system were fixed and everything was working well. I LOVE this company and will use them and recommend them to others.

professional, friendly, clean. Although they told me I was out of their service range, one of their technicians lives near me and came to provide the service for which I purchased a coupon.
