They were professional and did exactly what they said they would do. They set an expectation and delivered exactly what they said they would and for a great price. It was refreshing to work with a company that did exactly what they were supposed to, came when they were supposed to, didn't present any surprise costs, and were very polite and professional. I have already recommended them to two coworkers and we will definitely call them in the future if we need any additional electrical needs.

Great!!! Our living room had zero light when we moved into our house. Saw they were running a deal for lighting and jumped on it. The guys came the following day and had the job done in a few hours. Installed 9 lights on a dual dimmer switch. We have really enjoyed the lighting since.

MACSON has exclusively done electrical work for me on an annual basis since 2010. Jason and his crew are very knowledgeable and up to date on the latest codes. They are trustworthy and can be counted on to give you a fair and reasonable price on their work. I went through several electrical contractors who did substandard work before finding MACSON. I wouldn't use anyone else no matter how big or small the job. Kudos to his number 1 electrician John who is very willing and able to work with you so you get what you need. I called Macson based on the website description of services indicating they installed bathroom fans. I talked to Sophie who was very kind and understanding that I had no clue about electrical work. She set up a an appointment in a couple of days and even called back to get clarifying information on my fan installation and model of the fan. Bobby came out to my home and called prior to getting there and let me know he might be ten minutes late due to traffic. I didn't care that he was going to be late but the wonderful thing was he called and communicated the issue to me before it was a problem. Bobby got to the house looked at everything told me how long it would take to install the fan and move the plugs (approx two hours). He gave me a few options on the movement of the plugs in the bathroom as well. It was raining that day so neither I or Bobby wanted someone to have to go on the roof. He installed the fan to code, my original fan was not to code. The plugs were moved as well and everything was done pin neat. He told me he would come the next day after confirming that it would be a sunny day for the roof vent installation. Sure enough he came back as promised finished the job, he even spray painted my dryer vent while he was on the roof to match the new bathroom vent. He also removed lint out of the trap that he could see and cleaned that up as well. He plugged the old shower vent so no insects could get in there. He then verified that everything worked, demonstrated the fan features and then removed the old tubing from the attic. Everything was perfect and Bobby paid attention to the smallest details. I am extremely happy and now I can finish the paint work in my bathroom. I would rehire these guys in a second. Thank you so much.

I received a phone call approximately to schedule an appointment approximately a half hour after leaving my info on their website. They had an opening only a couple days later. Their window of arrival was only two hours rather than the four hours I'm used to. On the day of the appointment, I was called about an hour before he arrived just to let me know exactly when he would be here. The electrician was great. GREAT! Not only did he change my light bulbs (after confirming that the half hour I spent trying to pick the right ones were indeed the correct ones), he dusted the chandelier and the corners of my entryway that I can't reach! What a nice guy! He worked quickly and cleanly. I WILL be calling Macson again if I have any electrical needs.

The electrician arrived on time. He was professional and courteous. We went down to the basement, where I clarified what I wanted and why I needed it. He went back to his truck, got his tools, and did the work.

Very similar to another reviewer that posted just after our work had started. The original estimator came out to our older house and never went up in the attic to see what would be involved in mounting and electrical work. When the first worker came out and looked at it, he said it's more work than estimated and needs two people to do the job and they'd have to come back another time at an increased cost. Rescheduled for another day and then only one worker showed up! He started working, not sure why it couldn't have started the first time with one worker. 2nd worker showed up and they did the work, but they ran wiring between the switch and the fan without looking at the fans first and two of them had wireless remotes/switches so only power to the fan was required, could have saved some work and tear-up. All of the fans were installed well and working fine, but two of the switches had large chunks of plaster broken off that weren't covered by the switch plate. Also, we requested one outlet that used to be controlled by the old switch, just be changed to a constant on/powered state and it no longer worked at all. Worker looked at it briefly, but didn't have time to fix it that day and had to come back a 3rd time to fix that.

When I bought the 99.00 deal for up to 2 man-hours of licensed, professional electrical labor, I was having some work done on my home. I thought I would be able to use this for some of the electrical work that needed to be done. The contractor I had, brought in his own master electrician, to do the job, but I figured that shouldn't be a problem because I knew there would be more work to be done down the road. All the Angie's List I have purchased, in the past, say the paid amount never expires. Although I did purchase this in 2012, I called this morning to make an appointment to have some work done, which they answered the phone # listed that was on the certificate, they said that company is no longer in business and that he sold it to his son who will not honor any of the past certificates. They said they would be happy to do the work though but couldn't put the $99.00 towards the job. I couldn't believe it, really, how many of those certificates did you sell before turning this business over to your son, my guess would not be that many, as not to honor all of them. Poor business in my opinion.

The electrician was on time and finished the job in the estimated time. The final cost equalled the estimate. All spaces were cleaned after the work was completed. All expectations were met and the electrician was very professional.

Went very well. The electrician was very helpful, provided advice and guidance, and walked me through options. He ended up not re-wiring the bathroom (I had a concern it wasn't to code, but that was not the case) but rather secured the electrical wire in such a way that it worked better around/under the tub area. He fixed a number of wiring issues in the hallway ceiling and a receptable in a bedroom. He then addressed the panel, re-wiring a number of fuses and providing advice on safety issues and an explanation of future options for when I will need to upgrade the panel (as it's full). Very good experience all-around and I will hire again when services are needed.

Please see above. The only reason I'm writing another review for this company is because I was prompted after I signed in.

Macson was called on three occasions 6/5/2013, 7/18/2013 and 7/30/2013. The issues were similar - ballast related. The costs for the three were: $$127.25, $100, and $118.75. Since the work was done, we've had no more issues.

I bought a big deal for this service and it was great. They are a great company. The work they did was good enough that we have had them back for about five other projects. They do good work at a reasonable price and their guys are very skilled.

We called in mid October and was able to set up an appointment for 11/4/2014 at 8:30am. No one showed up so we called after 9am and they said they would get someone out to us later that day. After replacing the kitchen sink light, the front porch light, covering exposed wires and seeing why the light on the front lawn was not working he said he would have to order parts to repair the light on the front lawn and they would come back to fix the light once the part comes in. No one has called back to let us know whether or not the part has arrived and when we asked we were not told when the part would arrive. It is now 11/25/2014 and we have not heard back from anyone at this company. Anyone else who completes work for someone would find out and let their customers know when the parts may arrive. Even if he did not know while at our home once the part was ordered we should have been told when the part would arrive. Now I have to find another electrician to complete the work I need done.

The installer generally did a great job. There was an issue with broken wall parts near new switches. I called MACSON to ask for some more information. I was told by the receptionist/scheduler Carrie that the company is not responsible for wall damage. I spoke with Will, the salesman, as well. He was rude and kept saying they are electrician's and not wall experts. That was fair, but I spoke with a few electricians including a master electrician and they mentioned they would have fixed the wall or used a plate. Will was so rude he hung up on me. I left a message for the manager Jason and never heard back from last message to him. I will never use this company and I continue to warn people about using this company. I strongly urge people to find another electrician.
