It was not what I expected, they just checked to see if all the outlets were in working order. However he spent an hour at him home and checked everything inside and out, and performed well.

Appointment was for 1:pm, I received a call at 8:30 am, the tech told me they had a cancelation and asked if I would like for them to come earlier? Super, they told me they could come right away, even better. They arrived before I knew it and installed the whole house surge with expertise, without a hitch. Both of the men were very nice and acted in a professional manor. Excellent work.

Puctual, clean, quick. Excellent communication from start to finish. Did exactly what I needed! Would use again for sure!

very well. mac came out initially but found the lighting boxes installed by previously householders were not correct or safe. two of his workers came out a week or so later with the correct boxes and completed all three rooms very quickly. also made a helpful suggestion and installed a ceiling rose to conceal previous damage to the ceiling.

They listen, provide great counsel and don't try to push you into anything beyond what you want. Suggested that we select the fixture we wanted - then they did all the outside wiring and installation and added an extra outdoor plug. They are quick but thorough and we would highly recommend their services. It's family owned and the next generation appears ready willing and able to continue their work and service ethic for many years to come.

The company owner came out to do the work. He was punctual and very professional. I appreciated his answering of all my questions. He also gave me ideas on how to save money on replacing the lighting feature on my kitchen ceiling fan. I would recommend Mac electric to others and definitely use them again.

Both times the service was excellent. The electrician was punctual and went right to work getting the job completed. We have had great service from start to finish, from calling for the quote, someone coming out for the quote, the work getting completed and finally paying.

The electricians ended up coming out about an hour and a half later than the appointment time, but they eventually arrived and started working on our issues right away. There were three major things we needed to have done. We wanted to replace our outlets with three-pronged grounded outlets, fix a blown circuit, and fix our doorbell. They were able to fix the blown circuit, but it took them the entire two hours to do it since the source was hard to find.

I bought the Angie's Big Deal in the spring for two outdoor receptacles with covers and ground fault interruption. One for the sunroom and one for outside, my wife wanted one to go at the end of the deck. However, I read in another review that there was an extra charge for installation more than 16 inches from an existing indoor receptacle. Mac Electric responded to the review that they would put that caveat in future Big Deals, so I just had them put it outside the office near the deck.

From start to finish, Mac Electric was an incredible company with which to do business. The electrician arrived on time - actually, slightly ahead of schedule - and was completely prepared. He was pleasant, professional and worked quickly and quietly, since my tenant had decided to put her kids to sleep at the moment the electrician arrived. All of the outmoded parts were given to me for inspection and all boxes, plastic and other recyclable materials were left for environmentally sound disposal. Since this service, I've used Mac Electric a few times and will certainly do so in the future. All of the work was completed for under $300, which included the smoke detectors and outlets. A quality company with excellent workers!

The initial service visit was later than I wanted, but I told them that I was hoping they could come out sooner. When they had a cancellation, they called me to see if I wanted that appointment instead. Great customer service! I was very pleased with the quality of work, and the timeliness of their service. When paying by the hour, you want to make sure you are getting what you pay for. I was very pleased with these guys!

I showed him around my home and pointed out the things that needs to be fixed. I have an Eden Pure heater in my basement and it keeps blowing the circuit. My electric fireplace in my livingroom does the same thing. Also, kitchen light does not work and want them to install a receptacle in office. He suggested that I needed an extra plug to be dedicated to the heaters. in the basement and living room areas. He will repair kitchen light and install a receptacle in office.

Mac was friendly and answered all of my electrical safety questions. He used a device that he plugged into each outlet one at a time. It checked to see if the outlets were grounded, some were not but he said that was okay as long as I plugged in only two-prong appliances. He checked my electrical box in the basement and turned each basement light on. It was pretty basic. I'm not sure if he looked at the wiring or not. Overall it didn't seem like it was very in-depth for a safety inspection and with the right device I could have done it myself. But he did allay my fears and answered all of my questions and provided the expertise I was looking for. I felt better for having the inspection. He gave me a quote on some other services I asked about (grounding the ungrounded outlets and an exterior outlet installed) and those quotes seemed very reasonable. Mac is an 'old school' electrician that has been in business for over 40 years. He seemed very knowledgeable.

Showing up without tools .. not much to say, just not professional. Both jobs got done. Sent young people, maybe this was the problem.

I purchased the big deal for $99 for up to 2 hours of service. When the technician arrived, I brought him down to the basement where he proceeded to check the GFI outlets that I had there and replaced them. I then had issues with my driveway lights not working after I had put new bulbs in. He checked them both and determined that the fixtures were broken, but power was going to the lights. I just had to buy new fixtures and replace the old ones. Overall, he was knowledgeable and quick and I would use them again.

The experience was not as professional as I would have hoped.

Initial phone call requesting an estimate got a relatively quick appt. however, estimator said he would call me with a quote later in the day, Or next morning "latest". And...I never heard from them again. So I tried to call the office, but there was literally no answer--no person, no VM, nothing. Despite all the A's in the reviews, i am disappointed not only in their responsiveness and follow through, but in the fact hat they have a top tier rating in Angie's list....which I consulted after not getting responses from the first two (non Angie's list) electricians I called. Uggggggh! Why can't people just follow up and follow through? yet everybody talks about there being " no work out there" for the tradespeople?

They did a good job of inspecting the home with a list and price of recommended repairs.

It went ok. The techs were late, had to call the office. They seemed like young guys, not electricians.

It went well - though easy tasks. I had initially wanted cable run for TV and a ceiling fan installed in bath but that would have taken well over the 2 hours the coupon covered, so had them hang some light fixtures. Very professional. Gave a fair estimate to come back and do the other work if I should decide to do that.
