Repairman called half-hour before appt. No one home, he left a message that he would stay until 1 o'clock the appointed time. I met him when he was on the street. It only took him twenty minutes to hook the doorbell up and put screws in the wall to hold the chime fixture. Repairman Bob was very pleasant and took our credit card for payment.

The repairman was on time, very efficient and very nice. Would highly recommend.

Approximately 9 months later the lights went out. I called the company and they came out and checked and said it was the bulbs and they changed the bulbs. Again the bulbs went out and I purchased a $119 for up to 2 man hours of licensed professional electrical labor from the company on January 16. 2013. Dumb of me, well I can only blame myself as a senior citizens that I purchased something else from this company. But Debby had been very professional and nice when she came to my home as well as the worker. On DJanuary 25, 2013 two young men came out. He changed the light bulbs in the outdoor light fixture and said the company had a couple of cases of faulty lights and that he would tell the manger "Sara". I called "Sara" on January 28, 2013 and relayed the info to her. Well she informed me that Debby was not with the company and that she ran the company. She informed me that I must have purchased the wrong type of light fixture. She was extremely rude, unprofessional, short, terse and all the other adjectives that are to long to list. I was spelled bound by her manner and could not get a word in edgewise. She told me she would get back to me. As of this date, she has not gotten back and I am out $219 for the two "BigDeals" that don't work. (I will be on vacation from 6/29/13 thru 7/20/13.)

We had an outside circuit that was intermittent, I wanted it checked out by an electrician and fixed if needed. The electrician sent by Macson found that there was a problem in the basement and fixed it. Not problem since.

it went well, the technician kept his tool belt on and dinged up some of my beautiful thomasville cabinets.

My wife called and got a rough quote over the phone and they came out a few days later and bobby was on time and was very nice to my wife.. I couldn't be home so I left a note for the service i needed done and my wife said that he was very nice and explained everything that he was doing.. he did a GREAT job and for the price quoted. the whole experience went well and we didn't have to wait around.. i had electrician out before who would quote then never come back and not call so I was a bit guarded. Now I know that we have an electrician that we can count on and we will tell all our family and friends to use macson! and ask for Bobby my wife says..

My husband installed the switch later. It worked. A week later the installed light didn't work. We don't know why. Was it the light? The switch. Now we have a dark laundry room (with a new fixture in the ceiling and a new switch on the wall). My husband put a standing lamp in there which we both trip over. Hmmm.

Purchased this in late fall. Wasn't able to use it right away. When I was able to use it, the coupon had expired and I couldn't.

I've probably have had them here seven times. These guys are lovely. We get lots of quotes from these guys. They're great. We had new garage doors and we have a double beam and a single. The original one had a garage door open but the single one never did. So when I had them open, they had given us garage door openers but I never had it wired for the single. I've had multiple things done by these guys. Actually one of their electricians is my handyman. He comes after hours and does stuff for me. They did my whole basement, rewired my whole basement. These guys are fabulous! They come when you want them, they clean up and they remember you. You get same guys coming out so it's kind of nice because we have all these strange guys here all the time.

I was very pleased with their services.

He did a good job quickly on the front outside outlet and the inside plug. He had to slightly raise the location of the rear outside outlet, so it took him a little longer there.

The electrician was terrific. He called ahead and showed up right on time. He installed the fan perfectly and even went through the remote with me. He was very careful to make sure where I wanted the fan and where I wanted the switch. As it turned out, the fan wasn't working but it was a manufacturer's default. The electrician left a note on the invoice so that I could have Lowe's pay for the labor to install the replacement. I was very happy with everything he did. I will definitely call Macson again. Incidentally, I had called a few different places for prices and Macson's gave me the best price, too. Everyone else was upwards of $200.

They were professional,patient and easy to work with. It is family business and the couple that own the business are the best possible team to come and work on your project. I had a few minor reservations about some of the other workers under the owners, but it all was tightly run by the couple in the end. No reason I won't use them again.

I contacted them for the service but they had been bought out & would no longer honor the Big Deal so I got a refund from Angie’s List.

Outstanding & Professional Service!

It's working very well like it's supposed to. They came out, they did perform the job they were supposed to do and worked very well, and they were responsive. The service was great, it was fine. The price was reasonable, it was in line with other contractors. They quickly performed very well. They came out when they were supposed to and they performed their work and it was done adequately, and now I was very satisfied. They were very professional.

After contacting Macson Electric, Debbie came out and gave me the pros and cons of an electric versus solar attic fan. She recommended electric (of course), and after some further research, I concurred. I have a black roof and her company does not stock a black domed attic fan, but she said they would install any atic fan I purchased from a third party and would only charge for the installation. She then went on to give me the specifications of what to look for in an attic fan for a house with my square footage. After ordering and the delivery of the attic fan I wanted, I made the appointment. Jason arrived on time, immediately put on covers over his shoes, did the installation, explained how the attic fan worked, and cleaned up the debris like he had never been there. I could not be happier as far as these things go.

Would not honor coupon I spent $99.00 for even though I had mail correspondence from the former Office Mgr saying they would. The woman on the phone today said the company has merged and they don't have to honor deals made before merge. She wouldn't even give me a partial discount. Usually companies say they won't honor a discount after a certain amount of time but they always say that the amount of the coupon never expires, Not this company. Lost $99. Ripoff.

The service was excellent. They did a great job.

We purchased the deal to replace a hot wire in the attic near the entry, but the technicians reported that it would require a complete rewire of the house to replace this. We opted not to continue.

The electrician arrived on time, went right to work, explained why a simple change of a light switch was not working for us. He checked most all of the electrical items in response to all our questions. We had a good background in electrical and plumbing issues due to having owned a Victorian home before as well as contemporary homes but our latest home purchase had us stumped and we backed off from DYI'ing things ourselves. He proposed several options which empowered us to move forward.

It went ok. They were quick and did what they were tasked to do. They were clearly in a hurry and didn't want to answer questions.

Called a couple times to set appointment and left messages. No return calls. When I finally was able to talk to a live person I was informed company was sold and new owner was not honoring and coupons for Mac Electric. Leaving me stiffed for the $99. Not a very good Angie's List experience.

The whole event was fine. They did what they were supposed to do.

Overall this was a decent experience with Mac Electric. I rated lower on professionalism because when they arrived, none of them had any idea about the additional items we had arranged (in detail, in writing) to have done other than the new service panel. It was a decent amount of work that they were not expecting and they seemed irritated about it once I explained what was supposed to be done according to our estimate. It is my feeling that they should have arrived at my home fully aware of what was already discussed and arranged with their office staff. They also did not label the new panel so I guess we will need to do that ourselves. There were some additional issues (defective materials, not with their workmanship) that they had to return to fix at a later date. Everything seems to be working properly and we are satisfied with the purchase overall.
