Sometimes it's good and sometimes it's not good. The internet is a disaster. It goes down all the time but I'm not sure if any other internet service would be better. There is nothing special. You can put Comcast, Dish, DirecTV, and Prism in a large plastic bag and sink them into the ocean. It has been an ongoing battle because our services started one time at $160 and it crept up to $220-230 a month and I don't know why, but every time I call them and complain about it, they drop it back to $180, and then it creeps up again to $220 or $230. I don't know how they do their billing. There is something wrong and I had to call and raise hell with them all the time. I've looked at using some of the other services but they are just as bad or worse.

There is nice features of Comcast but the customer service is terrible especially if you're a single woman. The bill fluctuated monthly by $40 which I was very unhappy with.

I moved about 20 miles South of where I used to live on December 9th, and I still do not have cable outlets. They've been out three times, and they have not re-attached service to those T.V.'s yet. The people on the phone always promise great things. The actual technicians literally refuse to connect them. I have an appointment this Saturday with a supervisor and a technician. The third time, after they left, I finally got a number and got in contact with a supervisor. He came out, the same day the technician refused to do it. He climbed into the attic and looked around, and then told me that there was no reason it shouldn't have been done. He said the next Saturday, that he would come with them, and they would drop the line down. Right now, I have a cable line splitter running from my bedroom to the living room to have T.V. in the living room. They promise the moon, but the techs are terrible and rude.

They charged me to install the cable box and modem myself! they told me on the phone that I could save money by doing it myself and lead me to beleive that meant free. when I called them on it they said that it was an activation charge . I was never told about . It just gets worse from there. Short story ... I cancelled and got Century Link . Better if not great experience.

They put in a line. Ordinarily you have a monthly payment, so they charge you nothing when they come out just to check things out. I like the services. I've had a little trouble with their repairmen. I think they use independent contractors. The last time they came out, it wasn't a great experience because he did not know what he was doing, and they had to send another guy (an outside operative, who knew and found the problem), so that was a downer. I've had good experiences, and bad. That one, it ended up good, but it started out being bad.

We have a package, and we have one of the higher tiers. I like the quality of the voice, and the internet. It is very fast. I don't like that they don't have some of the channels I would like. They don't have as many options as you may have with satellite.

I wanted to lower my cable bill after the first six month offer expired. I did get a less-expensive service, but I lost many channels. This would not happen with Cablevision/Optimum and I really wish they were here in Secaucus.

We started setting up a move one month in advance. Comcast disconnected service three days before the scheduled date. In three days we spoke with 18 people, some promising service would be restored, others disconnecting the call. Two even gave call-back numbers that didn't exist when we tried to call them. People calling in received a message that the number was no longer in service.

My recent experience with Comcast is one of the worst customer service experiences I?ve EVER had. The problem started just days after activating my service. I started noticing that at times the internet speed was fine, at other times is was slow as molasses. It honestly was so slow it reminded me of the days when we connected by dial-up. Soon after that started happening my interconnect just started dropping all together for long periods of time ? five minutes here, 15 minutes there, etc. Then a few days later, while researching important information on the internet, my ENTIRE Comcast/Exfinity platform (Phone, TV, and internet) went off line from 9 pm to somewhere around 5 am. So next day I called Comcast to complain and they offered to give refund me $5 to for the time my services were out and they agreed to increase my internet speed, saying that the increase should make things run fastest and stop the internet connect from dropping. They also said I can arrange to have tech support come out to look at the issues. So next day I get home from work and try to call tech support. I called and waited and waited and waited for someone to take my call. Almost 45 minutes later I was still holding and got so frustrated I just hung up. Meanwhile, I hear from my basement tenant that the television picture is breaking up. Unbelievable! So I decided that I?ve had enough and that I was going to cancel my service and go back to Verizon. So I call to cancel and they put me on with Dave in the Retention Department. I told Dave that I would like to cancel my services effective October 13 --- five days from today?s date (October 8th). NEWS FLASH TO COMCAST: Dave is not someone you want in the Retention Department!!! He started off the conversation being extremely nice, but as soon as he determined that I was not buying his pitch to stay with Comcast, his attitude flipped IMMEDIATLEY, and for the rest of the call he was condescending and attitudinal, not to mention he continually talked over me. Worst of all, I discovered when I got off the phone with him that good old condescending and attitudinal Dave went ahead and shut my phone and internet down ? five days before I requested it be terminated. It appears he was even more attitudinal than I thought he was. Just awful?awful customer service! Next I call Comcast back immediately to get my service turned on, and I get a woman named Telisa, a shining light in a sea of maybe the worst customer service I?ve ever encountered. She was not able to get my phone turned back on, but was able to turn on the television. In short, she was WONDERFUL. So I now have Television again but no telephone service. NEVER WILL I SIGN UP WITH COMCAST AGAIN!!!

Cable and wires left in a pile on floor. Install incorrect with one wire in wrong connector. Printers, which worked before, would not print. Cost $500+ to straighten everything out.

The technical person had the knowledge and capability to resolve all problems and issues.
Description of Work: Email was hacked where I received over 2,000 emails using German, Chinese, Arabic, and Spanish languages. Hacker attempted to pay bills to unknown companies and banks. COMCAST resolved the issues and problems almost immediately.

My last call, lasting over an hour, was to set up the package but the rep was very difficult to understand and seemed angry that I asked for explanations and clarifications. He finally quoted me a higher price than the one sent to me originally via email and claimed that the previous quote wasn't accurate. I asked to speak with a manager and was given her email. I forwarded the original quote and my phone number but never heard back. Only one of the four people I spoke with yesterday was easy to understand and that was a person with a foreign accent. The other ones, with American accents, mumbled, spoke in technical terms or were just difficult to follow. The last one was rude. At one point he told me to wait for my new phone number. I told him I wanted to keep my old one and he replied, "You never told me that!" Apparently the prices you are quoted will not be the ones that you end up paying. It appears to depend on the agent's whim at the time of the conversation. They may be taping phone conversations for "quality control" but it doesn't seem that they are listening to them. It's unbelievable that Comcast is such a difficult company to deal with. Their customer service seems to be limited to technical problems and nothing else. Unfortunately, they are one of only two choices for phone and internet in my area.
Description of Work: I contacted Comcast using the number from the website and was quoted for an XFinity package for internet, phone and tv. When I called back later to accept, I was shuffled from one person to another, each quoting different prices and claiming that the other person was wrong. One told me that the internet prices were not correct and another, that the person I had contacted using the internet site number, was not an employee of the company! That is scary since you have to give out your social security number.

Made three attempts to start modem by phone. Scheduled a repairman and said it would be without charge. Repairman appeared on time and replaced the modem in about 10 minutes. Everything worked fine. Comcast charged me for the visit after saying they would not. I wasn't surprised, as every year they raise my charges without justification and I must call them to have them lowered to the agreed amount. Everything about their service is great, except I must watch them like a hawk to stop them from cheating me out of more money than they are due.

At first it looked real good then I discovered the first agent had included telephone in a bundle to get me a lower price without informing that was being done. When I discovered I was scheduled for an installation appointment I called back immediately and sought out help from a manager. The issue was corrected and a lower price offered which was acceptable to me at the time.

Honestly it was a bit frustrating to say the least. I know there is a script to follow on calls, but they never really listened. They told me that when I moved a new email had never been set up, but it had. They said since I moved that I had not gotten any emails. But I had, I even told them that I moved and then went to Costa Rica, and that I had received an email from the airlines with my boarding pass. They said it was not possible, but yet I was down in Costa Rica. Then halfway through my trip my emails stopped. When I got back it took forever to sort things out. I had to eventually start up a new ISP account. When things go wrong they go terribly wrong, but thankfully everything is running smooth now. And in all fairness I must say that once problems are taken care of I usually have no issues with the company and are happy with their service. I just wished they would take a little time to listen to the customer when resolving issues.

I realize this is only a temporary price cut and I really didn't save a ton, but I feel like I spoke with someone who actually cared to help me out. This has not always been the case. Comcast is a monopoly here, I wish they automatically provided good deals to existing, long term customers without me having to call and ask.
