I was told that there would be no install fee and could handle myself in minutes on both occasions. 0 for 2. The first time after several attempts to correct over rthe phone they sent somebody out to arrive between 2-5. No show. At 5:05 I called and was told the service guy called and I did not answer. A brief check on caller ID proved that it is harder for these guys to lie about this any longer. After admitting they dropped the ball I was asked how they could make it up to me? I asked them to send somebody immediately, since the puck was dropping for the Stanley Cup in 2 hours, but this huge company does not have people in the field after 5 and could not get anyone over for 10 days. The next upgrade was of a similar nature, but after 2 days of trying to figure the problem a nice tech named Eric found that I needed to upgrade my service to be eligible for the upgrade. Send it back. Don't even get me started on calling in or the chat rooms. Stuck for now.

Comcast Cable TV, Internet and Home Phone Service Brian Roberts, CEO Comcast Corporate Office 1500 Market Street Philadelphia, PA 19102 215-286-8960 Please use a different provider. From beginning to end our experience with comcast has been horrible. We recently moved to a suburb of Memphis and set up 1 cable box, a home phone line and internet. Regarding customer service: 2 appointments were scheduled, both were cancelled by comcast without notifying us. I took off work to be at home both days, and comcast was a no-show. Calling their customer service line gets you nowhere. I called at 4:27pm on November 4th and waited 58 minutes to speak to a supervisor. Somehow, during the 58 minute wait I never got cut off the line, but when Eric (a supervisor) answered, within 30 seconds of explaining my concern, the phone cut off. I notified him of the no-show, asked the proper way of filing a written complaint, and then the line was dead. Though Eric had our account information, as he verified this with me upon answering, we did not receive a call back. I tried calling comcast again, and of course, got put on hold for several minutes. I gave up. We have had multiple issues. A cable box that wasn't working, internet troubles, an exposed active line in our yard that hasn't been buried; but the most frustrating of all, are the issues are regarding customer service. We have contacted the customer service line over 12 times now, without our issues being resolved. If you need help, it is impossible to obtain. If you make an appointment, plan to confirm the day of (by waiting on the line for an hour before you can confirm) because Comcast is extremely unreliable. If you need to file a complaint, there is no direction on their website and they are not associated with the BBB. I found the address, above, on a yahoo blog. For a company of its size, Comcast's customer service and reliability is unacceptable. Save yourself the headache, frustration and hassle. Give your money to a different company.

After 3 years of being subjected to ever increasing rates and ever decreasing services, I cancelled my Comcast cable & internet today. Comcast outages have been frequent over the past 3 years, service people clueless and online/phone support people - inept. Promotions advertised as "free" would suddenly be billed. "Free On-Demand Movies" suddenly were free only to those subscribing to premium levels of service. Internet service would fluctuate by a factor of 0.5 from the advertised speed. All of these issues were reported to Comcast, and I patiently waited each time for Comcast to brush me off again and again. Please do not be duped by Comcast promises and promotions - be smarter than I have been. I am streaming now on another ISP's line.

I received a letter from Comcast that I needed to upgrade my modem because it would soon be obsolete. The letter stated I should call for instructions. I called and was offered to options: Small modem with internet only, or large modem with internet, Telephone, and wireless capabilities. I advised to Comcast clearly: my choice was the small modem. They sent the large modem. Over several weeks, I called to have this corrected but spent hours on hold, disconnected while on hold, transferred then being on hold then being disconnected while on hold and the few times I got through, promised that the small modem would be sent. I tried phone and the chat sessions.I must have accumulated 4 hours over this time span on this effort. I still do not have the small modem.

It was awful. Of course they gave us the world famous Morning or Afternoon choice. My wife stayed home all day and as noon came and went they never showed (she'd chosen morning). She called and they said their tech was behind. Gee, thanks for letting us know. She was told someone could come in the afternoon, but of course no time could be provided. My wife told them she had a doctor's appointment but decided to take the chance on letting them come. Of course they came when she was at the doctor with our sick baby, and got a rude call from their support center wanting to know why she wasn't home! Are you freakin' kidding me?! So we set up another appointment for the next week. My wife had to stay home all over again, and yes, they were late again. The dude who showed up finished his cigarette in his truck while just sitting in our drive way. Five minutes later, reeking of cigarette smoke--I HATE that--he stunk up our house like cheap stale tobacco and had absolutely no idea why he was even at our house. We had to tell him why we called in the first place. After complaining about all the wires behind our TV cabinet his big fix was to tighten the cable wires. Did not fix the problem at all. The only good thing about it is we didn't actually have to pay for the service call since we have an upgraded plan. I put our monthly fee of $135 up above in the "Approximate Cost" field just to be sure everybody knows we do pay Comcast, just not for this service fee.
Description of Work: Besides wasting a lot of our time, came out to fix some high definition channels that were (still are) pixelating and having the sound cut in and out. Horrible when trying to watch Colts games and Survivor!

Anytime I have called in to get assistance I am never helped by the first person. I usually get passed around to many people to answer a simple question. Their package offers with Internet, cable, phone does not make sense at all. If you want to cancel any of those services then the prices will go up.

Did a self install at house in Libertyville. It took 5 calls and 4 hours on the phone to switch it on. Persistence pays off after 4 waster calls with up to 1 hour wait time finally lucked out and got the competent CSR. Pricing practices are awful jacking the price up and only dropping when you threaten to switch to AT&T (who are just as bad). When will this industry do the decent thing and quote reasonable rates that stay reasonable. The space is open for an honest and competent company to kick the two incompetent incumbents out.

What can you say about Comcast that is not already known about them. They are consistently in the bottom of the customer service quality listings across the country. They are the company that wins awards for being the worst company in the country for customer service (or should we say, the lack of it). Comcast has been a monopoly for many years, but thankfully, small upstarts that supply direct fiber to the home or to the community are starting to eat their lunch. They are the biggest, but they are the worst in terms of customer service. The company was called to fix a cable problem with slow internet speeds, and after forty five minutes on the phone waiting to get someone, I was connected to a person somewhere overseas who I could barely understand. After a frustrating hour of going through the things that I already knew were OK, they agreed to send someone out. But they never did. I called and called, but still after two months, I am still waiting for the call. They are simply the most incredibly awful company that I have ever had to deal with at any time in any place I have lived. They deserve the competition being heaped upon them and I hope that eventually that my neighborhood will choose to leave their service and go with someone else. I need not say this again, but if you have a problem with Comcast, good luck. There is simply no way to describe how poor their customer service is.

My remote does not work. First person to "help" me couldn't speak clear English. Very difficiult to understand. Then she transferred me to the dumbest person I have met. She couldn't do anything. I was calm and polite and she disconnected us. Service sucks.

They advertise 50 MB/second and I haven't gotten above 20 MB/second. I have tried calling them but haven't been able to talk to anybody about it yet. The installer was very professional.

Dealing with the comcast company is frustrating at best. As long as you're willing to pay what's on your bill you can manage most issues through phone resets without ever speaking to a representative. My problems have always been with confusing billing. In one instance I was given three month free of a premium movie channel. Both the tech at my house and the representative on the phone told me the service would stop after three months and I would need to call to continue the service for a monthly fee. Four months later I find the charge on my bill for the premium channel. When I called I was told I was supposed to have called to cancel the service and still had to pay for the month of "use". Then they tried to sign me up for another "free" channel offer that would stop after three months. I called a year ago to downgrade my service to save some money. I said I needed my bill around $100/month, we worked it out. I ended up getting charged a fee for changing my service before my contract was up ($100, no one told me when I changed it). Now, a year later with no notice my bill is $130. This company's product is great, their billing and customer service are infuriating.
Description of Work: Install was thorough and well done. Quality of connection is very good. Internet and cable services are regular with minimal outages.

We have those long standing relationship with our internet service provider. They are an internet company, your experience with all of them are pretty much the same, they are generally arrogant and unresponsive because there are just a few of them and they pretty much have the monopoly, don't they? I am still using Comcast.

Comcast was not willing to work with me on this nor have my issues been resolved. I have to use my IT person to constantly fix my recurring issue. I do not have over $1200 to end the contract so I will use them till the end of my contract then disconnect all services and switch.
Description of Work: I started working from home and needed a static ip so was referred to the Comcast Business Class department for this. I was told my monthly price was good for 36 month and proceeded to sign up. I was unaware that a web link in the terms and conditions stated that if I disconnected my services before the end of this time I would be charged 75% of the remaining contract. I found this out after I had many issues with the service that still remain unresolved and wanted to disconnect their services and use another provider. It was my fault for not following this link in the terms and agreement section and taking the word of my sales man but I feel this is very unethical and misleading.

.The pricing was expensive. We switched 6 weeks ago. We cancelled the services due to the price increase. I got a much cheaper deal with another provider. We had a cable and internet package. I never had any problem with the service. It was purely a financial reason that I decided to leave. I got a better price offer elsewhere.

pay 160 a month for phone, internet and cable. I pay extra 20 a month for signature technical support on my computer. I called the technical support department and I got a hold of someone who told me to unplug everything, I did this but when I went back to they phone they had hung up. I called back and was put on hold for a half hour. I got in touch with a representative. They scheduled to have a technician come out to my home who did not show up when scheduled. I called Comcast and waited another half hour on hold and to find out that the appointment had been cancelled and they tried to call me on my old number even though they had my new number. They cancelled because they scheduled the wrong support team to come out. I asked to speak with a supervisor; they would not transfer me to a supervisor. They said they could have one call me in four hours, which I found frustrating. After I hung up I got a recorded service call asking how it went, I explained that I was not happy. I got a message from a Comcast representative but it was so grumbled I couldn’t hear who the person it was. I called back and waited another half hour. I did not receive a call back all day yesterday. When I called today I waited another half hour. They refused to give me to a supervisor but said they would transfer me to support this put me on hold for 45 minutes. I called back and asked for billing who was apologetic. They finally Transferred me to the correct department and got my computer up and running in ten minutes. I am so angry and am getting rid of Comcast. Other than this experience I never had an issue with them

I've had no problems with them. So far I've had pretty good service from them and I get all the premium channels too. My wife got it set up and the bill comes right out of her checking account so I doubt if she even knows how much it is. The price seems reasonable to me. They are pretty close on showing up on time.
