Description of Work: Cleaned a full septic tank. Had to wait two weeks even though I noted in the online reservation that it was an emergency. Tech showed when promised and did a very professional job. Tech was not notified by management that this was an emergency and was not expecting to have the work needed. But he did exactly what was needed and made suggestions on how the manage this task in the future. A week later they returned and installed another piece of equipment that will make the cleaning easier in the future. All in all, a very professional job.

He was also a good source of proper maintenance advice. They give a 10% senior discount. I would use them again.

We had D&J out for an inspection (with the capacity to pump if needed) so we could get a better idea of what we are looking at. They called ahead and were prompt (right at the beginning of the 12-4 window), and quickly checked the tank itself including scum/sludge/water levels, observed the overflow indications, checked the d-box, and gave an assessment of where we want to go from here.

Description of Work: I ordered septic tank pump services for a home I recently purchased that was bank owned. The bank had no information regarding when it was last done, so I had D&J come out just to be on the safe side. They showed up and did their thing, discovering that the tank was actually nearly empty. I imagine they could have charged me for a pump-out and I wouldn't have known the difference, since this is the first time I've ever had a home with a septic tank. But they were honest and told me it didn't need to be pumped for a couple of years yet. They only charged me for the service call. I was impressed with every aspect of their service and their integrity in handling my own situation.

"J" arrived early after confirming the new time, helped us locate the septic field head, dug it out, and emptied the tank in a short period of time. "J" took the time to educate us about our septic tank and how to keep it in good working order. I highly recommend this contractor.

They explained what they were going to do and afterward confirmed that the system was working properly. Then they explained when we should have the system checked again and scheduled a reminder. They were efficient and professional. I would highly recommend their service.

Description of Work: D & J employee arrived on time, and I must say was a very polite man. I didn't know the exact location of the septic lid, just an approximate location, which was not a problem. Since it was in the middle of my flower bed, he took great care not to destroy my plants. When he found the lid, he carefully removed a plant and used a tarp on the grass to hold the dirt he had to dig up. He told me what the amount of sludge in the bottom of the tank was, how much water was there, and how the tank looked. I had an issue with gurgling in an upstairs toilet and tub when the lift pump in the lower level engaged to pump water from the lower level. I was told that could possibly be caused because the water level in the septic was very high and was going into the pipe to the house. Since the septic has been pumped, I've had no more gurgling. After cleaning up, he carefully replaced the dirt and my plant in the flower bed. I was very happy with the service and will call them again in two years (due to family size) as suggested.

Description of Work: We asked around a few weeks ago to see who to hire to pump our septic tank. Every person we asked recommended D and J Septic. It's owned by Keith Chamberlain and his son, Jake. Keith helped us save a little money by telling us how we could dig up the tank and what lids we needed to find, etc. Jake was on time, was cheerful and polite and then worked to get the job done. Afterward, he met with me and went over a lot of information about my tank, taking a lot of time that he didn't need to if he hadn't been "customer oriented." But he clearly was, and I thought the information very helpful. He told me when he thought they should come back, penciled me in and I know we will hire them for years to come. I was very impressed and will tell all my friends about them -- and Angie's friends, too!
