"I went with this company and they did not disappoint. They worked within my timeframe, under short notice, and unloaded a 20 ft U-haul very quickly. I was worried about getting a very wide couch down my narrow stairs into my basement, but they just popped some doors off and back on and made it look easy. 10/10 would hire them again."

Appliancezone.com is a leading on-line retailer of appliance parts and accessories for do-it-yourself homeowners. Incorporated in 2008, it was started by CEO, Jim Allen and his wife Paula, who operated an appliance repair business for nearly fourteen years prior to starting the internet company Appliance Zone.
"This is the first online review I've ever written -- my experience with this company was that bad. Three aspects that deserve attention: 1) I placed an order and tried to cancel six minutes later. Turns out they don't accept cancellations. 2) I couldn't find a phone number, so I had to work the return/refund by email. The exchange was painful -- so unhelpful I felt like I was interacting with a bad chatbot. 3) I ended up eating shipping costs (expected) and got hit for a 50% restocking fee (unexpected) because I refused the package instead of paying to ship it back. Didn't matter that it went to the correct address, was clearly labeled, and had prior return authorization. So I ended up with a $21 refund on a $60 order, and a lesson learned about where not to buy appliance parts."

Clean & Green Dryer Vent Experts LLC is owned and operated by a Michigan family. Lead technician Tim is certified by the Chimney Safety Institute of America (www.CSIA.Com) in Dryer vent cleaning, maintenance and repair. Tim is also a licensed builder of the State of Michigan. Tim serves as a proctor for the CSIA and monitors testing and certification of others interested in becoming a certified dryer exhaust technician. We do residential and commercial, single family or multi unit complexes. We are a full service dryer venting and maintenance company. We are fully insured. We wear clean uniforms, drive a clearly marked vehicle and wear photo Identification from the CSIA. For your safety never allow anyone into your home who fails to present proper photo id. A nationally known advocate for safe dryer vents, Mr. Joe Gagnon, has often had Tim as a guest on his radio program, The Appliance Doctor. Joe has often stated that many lives have been saved by Clean & Green. Thousands of house fires occur each year because of a dryer exhaust or chimney that simply was not maintained properly. Many people purchase a new washer and dryer only to have the delivery service connect the dryer to the vent with a foil transition which is illegal and unsafe. Many people call for service to their dryer, the appliance technician most likely changes a part, closes up the machine and leaves. The lint on the bottom of the dryer is left behind…almost always. A dryer must be vented to the outside of a building by law. Not into a garage, not into a bucket with water inside, and not into your attic. The majority of Dryers are heated using natural gas which produces Carbon Monoxide when it leaves the dryer thus must be vented outside. Dryer venting seems to be almost an afterthought to home builders. They go up and out of the roof, they go out the second floor siding, they may travel seventy feet across the basement and go out through the wall. We measure the air velocity at the termination found on the outside of the home, then we measure the air velocity at the dryer. If there is a tremendous difference we may take a backpressure reading as well. In most cases where there is a big difference between the air velocity on the outside and back of the dryer, or if your backpressure is excessive. Obviously your dryer vent needs to be cleaned out from end to end, however house fires do not start inside of a dryer vent! They start inside of your dryer. When you press the on button if you listen you will hear a “Click, Whoosh” type of noise. That is the click of the igniter inserting a little spark into the spray of natural gas and the whoosh is the resulting ignition of that gas. Bad things happen when the dryer vent is plugged and lint accumulates by the inch all over the bottom of your dryer until it’s three or four inches thick and then the whoosh noise can light the whole dryer on fire before you can walk out of your laundry room. Please contact us at 734-377-4175 to schedule your appointment today.

If your refrigerator needs to be repaired, contact an appliance repair company to diagnose the issue and repair your refrigerator. It’s okay to leave it plugged in and running, but unplug it if it makes unusual noises.
Signs that your refrigerator may need repairs include:
Food items are not being held at the correct temperature (between 35 and 38 degrees Fahrenheit)
The fridge is using too much energy and seems to run all the time
Loud and/or unusual noises
Possible causes include:
A damaged door
Faulty condenser coil
Malfunctioning control board
Contacting an appliance repair professional as soon as possible can help save items in your fridge from spoiling. Common fridge repairs include the compressor, control board, thermostat, defrost motor, coils, and ice maker.
If you’re having problems with your dryer, contact an appliance repair professional as soon as possible to inspect and repair it. Having a faulty dryer can be a major inconvenience in the home.
Your dryer may need repairs if:
It isn’t turning on
It’s not releasing enough heat
The drum doesn’t spin
Common repairs include:
A damaged or worn-out belt or
Damaged or shorted electrical wiring
A control board malfunction
Dryers tend to overheat or become short-circuited over time, especially after heavy use. Other common dryer repairs include door switches, timers, and control boards.
If the unit is not under warranty, then you may want to call a reliable appliance repair technician to diagnose the issue and recommend a repair. Some of the most common washing machine issues are inadequate water supply to the unit, poor drainage due to clogging, leaks, and excessive vibration while washing. Like ovens, the cost to repair a washing machine will vary widely depending on which issue you’re experiencing.
The average cost to repair an appliance depends on the appliance, make, model, the part that needs repair, and how long it takes to replace or repair a part. The following are the average repair costs for the most common appliances:
Refrigerator: $200–$300
Freezer: $90–$500
Oven, cooktop, range: $100–$500
Microwave: $50–$400
Dishwasher: $160–$300
Garbage disposal: $70–$250
Washing machine: $50–$450
Dryer: $100–$400
Appliance repair contractors may charge $40 to $120 per hour for labor, and most also provide the replacement parts necessary at an additional cost. It’s also important to note that these prices can go up on holidays and emergency fees may apply if you need your appliance fixed immediately.
It's good to contact the manufacturer first to see if any warranties still exist, and if they have any specific repair persons they recommend. Some specialty units or smart units may require the assistance of a manufacturer-approved technician. Oven issues can be more challenging to diagnose than other appliances in the home because many of the parts are difficult to access for inspection or replacement. Some common oven repairs involve replacing damaged burners, heating coils, or electric cables. Purchasing additional parts, such as a new heating coil may also increase the total repair cost.
