The Fabulous Mr Fix It

He brought along a very young man and charged us double per hour because it was two people, without our consent. The younger one didn't know nearly as much and spent a long time taking a light fixture out of the box and trying to put it together just to announce it had a broken pane. So I ran and got another one close by and he did install it. But the price was exorbitant for this and install of 3 toilets. We felt so ripped off to be charged more than Lowes would've charged for the install of their delivery. We had more success in the past, when I had a list and walked around with a worker seeing that it got done, but even in the past, the faucet install leaked (you have to turn the hot water spigot only half way or it spins around) and the safety chain isn't safe (it was left long so you can reach right in and unhook it) and the work wasn't that fabulous. Just don't trust them to give good value.

I was concerned it was rotted inside and there would be additional work needed, but Mr. Fix It assured me everything was fine and it was a simple fix. All went well within his estimated time frame. He was very pleasant and I would definitely call him again for future work.

Terrific q uality work done everywhere. Bathroom was completed and looks fresh and new. (This was the original setup in a 1967 built house, so needed renewal! ) The crew worked well with the room, and I was pleased that they were able to do some tricky tile repairs, avoiding the need to replace all the tile which was 95% good. Now the room is 100% good, without needing to tear out all the tile. (Separately, a thanks to Daltile who made a custom run of 6 pieces of tile, color matching the 40 year old existing tile!) Very expensive per piece, but a great value since we could keep the existing tile. As discussed, the "project" included the bathroom and 6 or 8 separate items in other rooms --- we figured once we had the workers there, we would address all the high priority, small jobs. These included: -- painting a room - simple -- installing an electrical outlet -- installing an additional toilet -- installing a new sink -- repairing floor tile -- replacing a garage entry door Our only wish was that the work might have been completed faster. In Adam's defense, we had first asked him to quote the work over 1 year earlier and then we procrastinated. Once we were ready to start he explained that he was very busy but promised to fit our work in to the best of his ability, and came through. Waiting a bit for the best people is the price of getting experts.

Individual was on time, pleasant, & efficient. Job done well. Mess Cleaned up. Checked with us before clean up for satisfaction.

The person was exceptionally knowledgeable about the work and came ready to complete the tasks. He worked carefully but wasted no time and did an excellent job.

The pricing and work policy was very clearly explained prior to the visit, including that there was a minimum 90 minute charge. The jobs were completed very efficiently, and the the service provider solicited additional work to fill the remaining time, so I added a couple of odd jobs off of my own to-do list. The final price includes $5 in parts and the service charge for 90 minutes of work. Foul weather on the morning of service delayed the appointment slightly, but only 10-15 minutes at most and the office phoned and kept me informed. Efficient, pleasant service, great communication from everyone. I'll definitely keep them in mind for future jobs.

Adam, the owner, was very responsive to calls and emails and provided an estimate within one day of coming to my home to see what was needed. Work was scheduled in a timely manner; in fact. they would have done it sooner but my schedule pushed it back. The men who did the work, I believe their names were Aaron and Rob, arrived in good time and completed work in less time than anticipated. They worked quickly and professionally and were very nice. Adam stopped by to check the work at the end. Everything looked good, although I would probably not choose Marbelite again - not exactly the appearance I was hoping for, but perfectly fine for my mid-range condo. The guys left everything clean, which was appreciated. Charged exactly what the estimate had been. Cost at the end seemed a bit high since the work was done in less hours than originally suggested at time of estimate (supposed to be charged by the hour plus materials but estimate was lump sum; should have asked to have it broken down). But the potential cost difference was not important compared to the need to have the work done. Their availability and responsiveness was much more important. I will definitely use this company again and do recommend them.

In all cases, I was pleased with the quality of work, the professionalism of the workmen and the clean-up afterward.

We are in our 70s and are still in the home we bought over 40 years ago and we know that we can count on The Fabulous Mr.Fix-it to keep things running smoothly.

Poorly no work has been done and I can't find anyone to do it.

Rob spent 3 hours in our home hanging up many items. We were reluctant to drill holes into the drywall - were uncertain where the studs were located. He was efficient and careful - and took care of every item on the 'list'.

Bathroom renovation; removed tub, installed shower, toilet, sink. There were difficulties that absolutely no one could have anticipated in this renovation. Throughout the process, this contractor provided prompt and professional suggestions about how to overcome the difficulties present by the job in cost effective manner. Absolutely every worker who came into our house was prompt, courteous, meticulous, and professional. Until the job was completed, and completed right and to our satisfaction, we felt like we were the only clients being served ... which I am SURE is NOT the case ... that's just the way we were being treated. I would recommend this contractor to anyone with no reservations and will definitely use his services again in the future.

My hot water to the shower sprung a leak. I called them because they have done work here before. The service was great. He was quick to troubleshoot the repair and fixed the pipe as quickly as possible. Now I can take a shower again! Oh and the receptionist is wonderful!

Never showed up - took time off of work

I like that he came out and I talked to him in person. They work well with your schedule.

We have relied on Adam and his team a number of times during the past several years. They are consistently punctual, honest, hard working, knowledgeable, and courteous. Adam supervises very well and Jan in the office is consistently fair and pleasant with appointments and billing.

Took a little longer than expected, but door installation looks great and no issues. I had removed door already and purchased new door for them to install. Didn't have the time or skill to install, and they did. Would call them again for other projects

Someone was on the job a few days after we called. They had to fixed a botched job by someone else and did a terrific job. One day someone did not show up as scheduled and after we called it was clarified and the job was then finished as planned. All in all they were great.

He was very friendly, knowledgeable, accomodating, and flexible. His prices were reasonable too.

I'm satisfied with him. He's a little expensive for me so I have another handyman. He did a good job. He got the job done in one day, which pleased me. His work is very precise. He certainly guarantees his work.

I gave Adam a completion date of June 1st to be ready for graduation open house on June 2nd. Everything was finished on May 31st. Three bathrooms took a lot of juggling for ordering materials and installing....but making sure we had sink, toilet, shower available at all times. All members of Adam's team were courteous and professional. We love our new bathrooms and would use The Fabulous Mr. Fix It again.
