Everything was done very well and the workers were timely, courteous, and professional. I felt comfortable having them use a lock box key and work on projects while we were not home. They left everything in pristine condition. The only difficulty we had was in communication. It would be helpful if the office manager utilized email rather than just phone calls, but we made it work. We will definitely do business with them again.

Professional. Courteous. Trustworthy. Reliable. It's really hard to find a dependable contractor these days. Someone you can trust will do the job right, not cut any corners, and be totally up front and honest with you. These are all the traits that we found when we took the plunge and went with Fabulous Mr. Fix It. Of all the estimates that I received from various contractors for my initial kitchen cabinet install, they were the only ones that actually asked for the original design plans. (To make sure it was installed the way we intended) Furthermore, they were very clear in their communication with us, worked with us and answered all of our questions patiently along the process, and made sure we were satisfied to the best of their ability. Look, I'm not saying it was 100% perfect, no one is. But they were pretty darn close. Close enough that if you have any faith or take credence in reading other stranger's reviews, take the plunge too and take my recommendation in hiring Fabulous Mr. Fix It for your next home project! We definitely plan to hire them for future follow up projects on the job they did for us (kitchen cabinet install with associated plumbing) as well another project regarding their specialty (bathroom remodel)!!!!!

These guys were terrific (well it was principally one person). I had been having a lot of problems getting anyone to actually work on my condo with regards to these repairs (it was the summer and everyone seemed to be busy), and the Fabulous Mr. FixIt was terrific (prompt, efficient, high quality of workmanship, high level of care). They charge hourly, but it was worth the cost. I would definitely use them again.

Very pleased with overall service. Staff was very skilled and went about repairs in a timely and efficient basis. Showed up at agreed time. Outside repair of cedar siding was exceptional - required some creative solutions resolved in a collaborative way. Owner was personally involved, and very committed to quality of work as if it were his own home. Job completed over 2 1/2 days.

I have been putting off having these things done at my house for over a year because I just didn't know who to call to do the job. I thought I would have to end up calling multiple people to do each job. The first day he completed the installation of the bathroom sconces, repairing the drywall where the original light was and did the majority of work on the kitchen ceiling. I knew upfront he would need to come back to finish it since it required many coats and drying time. He took down my current foyer chandelier but could not install my new one because the light I had bought on clearance had wires cut.. The second day Rob came out and finished the kitchen ceiling and installed the new light fixture I had purchased. Rob was so nice and professional and I wish I had found this company sooner. I have other projects that I will calling them to come and will recommend them to all my friends.

Dave was extremely prompt and professional. His assessment on our needs was so helpful. He communicated all options before starting the job. Everything turned out great.

He did a great job, really went above and beyond. Some examples: when installing the faucet, he noticed the hinge on the cabinet was broken and he fixed that too. I had some extra work that I asked him on the spot and he took care of that too. He even patched the holes I made in the wall when I tried to do the work myself. Very happy with all the work and the price was reasonable.

We had met Adam, the owner, a couple of years ago when getting quotes for our bathroom remodel. Though we had not chosen them at the time (it was between Fabulous Mr FixIt and the service we eventually chose), we liked Adam and so when this new issue arose, Mr Fix It were the first and only company we contacted. Adam made some suggestions via email and requested pictures of the window sill up front to determine if it was something that required work from someone specializing in Windows. After discussing via email and reviewing the pictures, Adam set a time to stop by to take a closer look. We talked through options (including me doing the work myself) and I decided that I'd like a quote, which Adam sent via email that night. The next day, they were able to come over and do the work. It was the owner's son, Adam (Jr.?) who performed the work. Adam called ahead to let us know when he would be arriving (his previous job had run a little late so he was going to be about 15 minutes later than originally planned). Once at the house, the work took about an hour or so. The result was fantastic and Adam cleaned up any mess created during the work. All I have left is a little painting, as was to be expected. The work was excellent and it ended up coming in under the original quoted amount. We're very happy with the job (and tempted to replace the other window sills the same way). If we have any other work inside the house that we would prefer not to tackle ourselves, we'll definitely call them again.

I scheduled four hours of handyman services to undertake several smaller tasks and one larger one. Rob arrived right on time and worked diligently throughout. The smaller jobs included replacing a shower head, adding a towel bar in the bathroom and fixing some broken rails on a bed frame. The bulk of his time was spent on repairing drywall corners. At almost every corner in my small condo, the paint and plaster had cracked along the edge of the metal corner piece underneath. It was apparent that these had not been installed correctly when the condo was built. Rob added drywall screws, then compound, then sanded, added more compound and left the surfaces relatively smooth. I just had to do final sanding and paint (which I had planned to do). Rob was professional and friendly and did a nice job. I was especially appreciative that I was able to schedule this with only a few days' notice.

Very good. They were very accommodating with my schedule and rescheduled my appointment a couple of times due to travel commitments. Did a great job reversing the pantry door so it would open to the outside of the pantry instead of inward which was always awkward restricting access. The molding, hinges, locking mechanism all had to be reversed and rehung. Dave did a great job. The door is slightly angled but I was warned the door frame was probably not perfectly plumb when built and this was to be expected. He was quick, professional, and got the job done using all the existing trim which saved me money and in addition fixed some damage to the pantry walls that had been done in a previous project.

I was most impressed with his knowledge and willingness to explain. I would definitely call this company again.

I've used Fabulous Mr. Fix It for several jobs and all went well each time, no unexpected costs and they provided all details including estimates up front - I never felt they were just there for the job, there is genuine pride in what they do. I'll use them every time I need work done on my house!

Great service! Our toilet broke during a cold spell and all the other plumbers in the area were backed up with emergency calls. Manager happened to be around the corner at the time and was able to come by minutes after call! Fixed the problem quickly and was friendly and professional. Would use again in the future.

He estimated that it would take 6-7 hours but finished in less time. Ran the new outlet as well as filling in the holes in the basement ceiling and walls. I will definitely be using them again!

This was my third time using The Fabulous Mr. Fix It, a company found on Angie's List. Dave removed an old range hood and installed a new one with some improvisation (reinforcing the underside of the cabinet and using longer screws). He also completely replaced a water shut off valve that had failed the day before. Dave, like all of the Fix It handymen, knows how to hustle while paying attention to detail. They take pride in their work and want their customers to be happy. From the beginning, Jan, the receptionist, was very clear about the prices (ie minimum, hourly, 1/2 hour, one man or more, etc). I liked that there was no trip charge and that they offered a 10% senior citizen discount. I also liked that Jan asked enough questions to make sure the right handyman was scheduled for the job. I gave a grade of B for price not having another to compare. Perhaps that's what you have to pay for licensed and insured handymen. Recommendations: have back up projects ready to fill it up the time as needed. These backup projects should be within the scope of work for that handyman. There is more work to be done so will be asking them to come back.

I am not sure how this company has managed to stay in business. The work that was supposed to be done, took 3 weeks longer than expected solely due to their scheduling issues. I was told workman would be there and they never showed up. Communication between the office and workmen appeared to be non-exixtent. Finally, the work was completed. After not receiving my original payment, a bill was placed in my mailbox, not even though the US mail. After 30 days, it was sent to small claims court. This company has serious problems if this is how they relate to customers. I would not recommend even calling them for a quote. Not sure why they have been rated highly in the past.

I spoke with them on the phone trying to schedule an estimate, they said they'd call me back to confirm scheduling of this estimate. They never called back.
