The Fabulous Mr Fix It

Adam and Dave were very professional and performed high quality work. Scheduling was easy and everything was explained in detail before the work was done. I would certainly hire them again for my next home improvement project.

This is a very professional company. They have been responsive with phone contacts and workers arrived promptly. The workmanship is great with attention to detail. What a joy after the problems we had with a contractor 10 years ago! Although there was a glitch in the counter top order, which was custom-cut to the wrong size, they were able to expedite the reorder and it all worked out fine. We're very pleased with the results and happy to recommend Mr. Fix-it.

They have helped us care for our house since we moved in in the spring 2004. In the first few years, we spent a few thousand dollars per year repairing things that previous owners neglected. Last year, they installed a lamp post in the front yard and installed a new porch light to match the lamp post. This required bringing power to the lamp post from the main house and securing the lamp post with cement.

Took some time to finally get a hold of some one played a lot of telephone tag took too long to get an appt.

After finding and shutting down the circuit breakers to do some A/C maintainence, I reset them only to find one would not reset. In my 60's era home, these Push-o-matics have been somewhat of a crapshoot on reset, but this particular one always put up a fight. In this case, all efforts failed. Worse, this circuit included my fridge. Worse still, the first heat wave of the season was to start the next day. I called The Fabulous Mr. Fix It and, after Jan walked me through the billing policy, requsted an appointment ...hoping against hope that, with the heat on it's way, I might still save that gallon of milk and my last Cali linguisa from slow, smoldering, and undoubtedly painful deaths. Jan got on the phone with Adam who only a few minutes later called me back, walked through the issue, and set up a time. Not 2 hours after my initial call, he was pulling the old breaker and installing a new replacement. Problem solved, breaker resets as it's supposed to, fridge back on line, milk and linguisa saved by the bell, and fee was actually less than described. Would recommend and use again without hesitation.

I think he’s excellent. He and his staff are just fabulous. He was nice and very professional. He did what I’d asked him to do and the results were very satisfactory. His price is very fair. I will definitely use him again in the future.

My husband had no time to get our old wornout showerhead replaced. So I called Fabulous Mr. Fixit. He came out in just a couple of days and thoughly explained my options. He brought a showerhead that he thought might be the kind I wanted and installed it in a matter of minutes.

Adam provided an estimate earlier in the week and was willing to work with my busy schedule and met me at lunchtime to do the estimate. He called me the day of the work and let me know he was running late. He and his crew were prepared and immediately began the work we had agreed on. He ran into some minor difficulties but handled it well and I felt very comfortable that he knew what he was doing. He and his crew finished within a reasonable time and stuck to the estimate that was agreed upon. I have no complaints about any of the work that was done.

We have used The Fabulous Mr Fix It several times - they came recommended by our realtor. Very good very professional and talented. Always fast and efficient. I woudl highly recommend them for many household tasks from plumbing to carpentry etc.

The whole experience was great. I'm glad I joined Angie's list because the next time I need some work done around the house, Mr. Fix It is who I will use. On time, professional, efficient.

We interviewed several other contract companies and due to slow responsiveness (many did not return our call or took weeks to call us back), high estimates, questionable quality, inability to make material recommendations, and unprofessionalism, we joined Angie's List. We contacted The Fabulous Mr Fix It and talked with Jan for the first time - she was pleasant, organized and quickly scheduled our first meeting with Adam to discuss the project. Adam was very professional, worked with us to create an estimate that meet our budget requirements, and provided us with great resources to work with to select the necessary materials. The project started in June and was completed in early July, which was a little longer than expected due to the time it took for our countertop to arrive and get installed (this was a vendor issue, not a lack of planning by Adam and his team). Adam offered us an alternate countertop, to allow us to complete the project on time, but we made the decision to wait for the countertop that we had originally ordered. This decision caused Adam to extend his crew by 1-2 weeks, which he did without complaint. During the project, we had one change order that extended the painting to include trim, doors, and the bathroom closet. This was easily added to our original estimate and completed without any issues. Also, any questions or concerns that we had during the project were quickly addressed by Adam. Everyone that we worked with during this project were very professional, trustworthy, courteous, and respectful of our home (using a lockbox to minimize the need for us to be home, laying down a runner to keep our carpet clean, placing a plastic tarp over the doorway to the bathroom to minimize dust). The completed project exceeded our expectations - we really love the shower!!

This was another excellent experience with this company. I emailed Jan at the office with my list of to-do items. She promptly called me about setting up a date for the team to come out. She sent Walt, who I believe is the newest member of the team. I'm happy to report that he was GREAT. I particularly appreciate that he was more concerned with aesthetics when running the bell wire for the doorbell than I was. I suggested he just run it along the lower edge of the ceiling trim. He, however, wanted to lift the trim and put the wire underneath. Brilliant! All the work was neat and professional and the team (another team member -- Dave -- stopped by to help with the doorbell project) left my space just as clean as they found it. (Maybe even a bit more so!) I found this company on Angie's List when I bought my house 2 years ago. I have used them MANY times and have referred them to my friends. Long story made short? I'll definitely keep hiring them in the future!

We had a very good experience with him and will choose this company again next time.

They installed the shower and had the inspecter come in the next day. The problems started to occur when I noticed something was wrong with the right side wall. I felt like he needed to come out and finish it since something wasn't right. I spoke with him to come out and fix the problem. He came out and looked at it and he said that he could not get out to fix it for a couple of weeks. He then told me that he hasn't been paid. I told him that I had given him my credit card already and you should have already charged me. I told him that I was not trying to get out of it without paying so I wrote him a check. He told me that he was going to come back out but he still hasn't. I keep calling but I am not having any luck. They did not even return my cals, they sent me an email that said they would not come back out and finish my project.

We love these folks! They've been to our home on several occasions and always do great work. They are quick, personable, and reasonably priced. We will definitely be calling them in the future as more things need attention.

The people who do the work are very nice and are incredibly honest and reliable.

I had repairs to do on a rental property. Mr Fixit did a great job of removing an outdated stove and moving cabinets, installing new countertops. Their workmen are very helpful and knowledgeable.

He is great. We have used him many times for different projects. The quality of his work is excellent. His price is good.

I didn't go with them because the cost estimate that they gave me was far exceeding from what I thought was a fair price. I was going to have them put a new drain box for my washing machine. They quoted $850 for the job. They were very professional and very responsive during the quote process. I would recommend them but I would caution people that their prices are high.

Mr. Adam, the plumber came on time and was friendly. He went right to work and explained what needs to be done. He also made sure we understood how long it would take to finish the job. He cleaned up after he was done. He assured that we can call him if there was any problem and that he would come back and make it right at no expense to us.

They were very professional. Their numbers were great. They went out of their way to match up the tiles. It is an investment rental property and so they went out of their way to find value enhancing way in which we were not going low on quality but we were making it in a very reasonable price. This made sense versus putting brand new bathroom, which was not necessary. He went ahead to match the tiles, which was hard to find. He took out a window and put in a wall and a fan. He painted it and he also deglazed the tub. They were very prompt and they were very nice people. His crew was great. The bathrooms had to be updated not a complete remodel. I would use them in the future.
