I am very outraged that these people are still allowed to conduct business. I deeply regret hiring them from the start. I would definitely not recommend this company to anyone and will never do business with them again.

Not well, I would like to get a refund.

When they looked at the home, the noticed there were several bricks that were cracked. They gave me an estimate on the brick. They completed the work on the chimney and the brick. They were able to match the brick that was used on the house 50 years ago. The formula for the cement was done perfectly. They did a wonderful job. My neighbor even noticed how great of job they did!

Their estimate was high, but since they were in such good standings with Angie's List I decided to use them. They showed up on time. They had to remove some bricks, and laid them in our grass. They sat there for 3-4 days, and now our lawn is ruined. He even told me they would only sit there for a day, but they sat for an extended period of time. Now there is damage in our lawn. The brick was not put up properly. The replacement bricks were also damaged bricks. The guy who came out was always leaving at random times and coming up with crazy excuses like he had other jobs, or forgot tools. Overall I was very unhappy with this companies performance. The job was not done properly and I am very surprised they are in such good standings with Angie's List.

Didn't use this company. Something is wrong at the home office.

I called to schedule services. Ken took a week to return the phone call. He said he could not hear one digit of my phone number on the message. Ok. He had Nick call me to schedule a time for an estimate. The day of the estimate, Nick never called and never showed. I called the main number and Nick's cell that I was given and left messages on both. Never a return call from either Ken or Nick! I had completely planned my day around this scheduling and was very disappointed to have wasted my time sitting at home waiting on a no show!

I have tried to contact them many times and the phone just rings and rings, I had an appointment for them to come out but they never showed or called to re-schedule.

The customer interaction was excellent; they were punctual, courteous, and professional. They cleaned the work area well after finishing. The work was pretty good, but I'm glad its not so visible from the ground. The original pointing was offset inward from the brick face about 1/2inch but the repointed sections vary in depth quite a lot. Otherwise a good job.

Bought a $99 chimney sweep with free inspection deal from them. I knew it would be a loss leader and that they would find other things to repair. They found problems with the chimney, brick and porch. The initial work was performed on schedule and most of it looked good - in particular the porch repair. But after I paid most of the cost I discovered some problems with the work. They agreed to repair, but it took over a month to complete. The worker that did the repair explained that an inexperienced person had done the initial work and yes it was poorly done. I give low marks in professionalism because subpar work was performed by an inexperienced worker and the boss did not inspect the work or notice any problem prior to my complaint. Just a note that they boss seems to be a nice guy but is a bit high strung (loud and talks fast). My wife and I both found that a bit difficult to deal with.

Job went well. All workers were polite and efficient. Supervisor fully explained extent of work and met quote. Noted importance of Angie's List evaluation

The service is expensive, but the work was excellent. There were a few communication problems initially, but there were some understandable circumstances for that. The workers were efficient and pleasant. I am very satisfied with the quality of the job. After job clean-up might have been a little better, but the mason and his assistant worked long hours under very hot conditions. I would highly recommend Brick Concepts

Our chimney required an extensive amount of rebuild and repair. Ken came to the house to provide an estimate in less than an hour after we called him and wrote a very detailed and lengthy estimate covering all of the services required. Once we agreed to have the work done, we got an estimate for when the work could be started, (which was good, we were not going to have to wait long), and the crew actually started a couple of days earlier than they projected. The work was completed as described, and throughout the experience the interaction with the crew was very professional. The clean up job afterwards was remarkable, as there was no trace of scrap materials left on the roof of the house, or on the grounds around the house. They exhibited care in setting up and taking down the scaffolding, so as not to damage the plants/trees near the work area. All in all, a very neat and professional job, backed by a 10 year warranty. We would definitely hire Brick Concepts LLC again.

They were great. We purchased a big deal. They gave us everything. They were very knowledgeable and pleasant. They did a wonderful job. They explained everything and told us what was needed to be done. They did a lot of stuff and different stuffs. They were friendly. I would recommend them. I would use them in the future.

We did not get other estimates, so we don't know if he was high or low ... but the work was done quickly and appears to be good quality.

It went good. They did good work. They it fairly quick, and for the estimate. Just some miscommunication.

Ken's team came on time, cleaned up the area thoroughly, and stuck to their price. I was always able to contact Ken directly with questions, and he did a thorough job of explaining the work they were doing. I would hire them again.

Ken (owner) was prompt, courteous and explained everything that needed to be done and why. He kept me informed of each part of the repairs. His crew was all very polite and worked constantly. Ken and his crew took extra care cleaning up job site. Everything was done in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend him.

Ken's crew was very efficient. They worked hard and had everything cleaned up when they finished! We were very pleased with their work. They basically almost finished in one day....just needed to return the following day for approximately one hour to finish!

Our chimney had been leaking since winter-time (thanks to all the snow and rain we received in winter and spring), and it wasn't obvious where the leak(s) were coming from. The cap was in very bad shape, and many trim pieces of wood were rotted, so there were opportunities for water to get in at multiple points. Plus the previous owners caulked on top of caulk in an effort to seal the chimney, to no success. Making matters more difficult, our roof pitch is pretty steep. These guys came out, surveyed the issues, recommended a solution. The chimney was repaired less than a week after their initial inspection of it, so that was very much appreciated. Impressive, too, since the cap was a custom-made piece. Would recommend them again, as the owner is very responsive and personally gets in contact with you regarding your satisfaction with the work performed.

Overall the job went well. There were some last-minute schedule changes. On two occasions a worker arrived when scheduled but waited as long as 3 hours for the others to arriive. Cleanup was generally good but a few items of trash were left behind. Also, cigarette butts were found here and there. The workers were all very polite and steadfast in their job. There was no slacking off. They seemed to know what they were doing. The finished chimneys look great.

Very well, very conscientous, professional, gave great advice. Would definitely refer company, in fact I gave him one today.

I used this company in the beginning of the year, and was pleased with the service. Ken (the owner) and I had discussed previously about more work needing to be done when the weather was warmer. The back corner of my home had some brick "defacing" and there was definately an apparent crack that has been getting worse the last couple of years. This was leading water into my basement with the frequent rain and the elevation is lower in that corner of my house so none of that helps. 5 ft of ground was dug out to be sure all repairs needed were found. Ken and his men finished the work within 3 days with just coming back to make sure everything was cleaned up ok. I am very happy with the work, the outside of my home and my basement where were was completed looks great, and I haven't seen any dampness or wetness coming in either. Very happy with the company, the work, and will definitely call again if I need anything else done in the future.

Other than the cleaning, this company didn't do any work on our fireplace. Not all the elements of service were there, but the owner seemed eager to make sure everything was taken care of.

Per Angies List, I obtained a promotion for a $99 chimney sweep, including an additional $200 credit which would be appied against masonry work. House is 40 years old. Quad split level located in Loch Alpine (Washtenaw County) Visably, we had loose bricks on one of our chimneys. And 1/2" to 1 inch gaps between the main chimney and outside wood shealthing. The other chimney (furnace outlet) still had a 1970's vintage TV attenna attached. Also observed that we needed carpentry work to close out damage from squrriels and birds. Ken, the owner, was responsive from the beginning and was very professional (1) Showing up on time, and, (2) Explaining what work was needed. Safely accompanying me to the roof, he SHOWED me areas where the main chimney need to be recapped and tuck-pointed, the gaps between the chimney and sheathing sealed. After removing the TV attenna, he also identified and showed that this secondary chimney should be tuck pointed . He also pointed out areas along the foundation that needed attention. The work. Ken's work crew was very professional PROS (1) Completing the work in less than a week ( despite rain delays - that's Michigan) (2) Obtained sub-contactors to do the needed carpentry. (3) I am very satisfied with the quality of their work. CONS (1) Cost - Ann Arbor is at least an hour away
