It went very smooth and quick while not missing any detail or being rushed. Very knowledgeable technician.

They did a great job and I was very pleased with their skill and friendliness. I feel they gave me more than my moneys worth, and I probably won't require more brick work now that they fixed everything, but I would certainly call them back if I ever need anything else.

Ken was very thorough from start to finish.

First of all, I had to basically hunt them down to make an appointment. The work that was done was horrible. To get them back out toe fix it was another disaster.

The Brick Concepts Team (Jordan and Associate) that performed work on my home were very professional, accurate and efficient. They explained their recommendations clearly (I was never pressured into accepting any/all recommendations), answered all of my questions and made me feel comfortable with the work that needed to be performed. They were courteous, cleaned up after the job was finished and made sure that all I was satisfied with the end result. Additionally, they were accurate, finished the job on time, and routinely had me verify their work via inspection. Jordan even came back out on a different day to 'touch-up' some brick work that I had previously overlooked. They were perfectionists, not only for my (the homeowner's satisfaction), but for their own which was reflected in their skill and workmanship. I will definitely use their services again and will highly recommend them to others.

Jordan, the salesperson was extremely professional and went out of his way to explain everything and describe the repair. The workmen really seemed to know there stuff and were pleasant to deal with. They even fixed some small items that were not part of the main project. Very pleased.

They were very close to the estimate that I went with. It was just an intuitive thing. They seemed to be reasonable and competent, but I found somebody that I liked better. I jived with the other company more. There was nothing negative. They seemed quite knowledgeable about the mortar repair, but they weren't saying the same thing about the porch. I went with the person who seemed more knowledgeable about the porch. They weren't really fast on the response. Sometimes I called their office and wouldn't get a response for several days.

During the recent heavy rainstorms we discovered water leaking into our basement and were in desperate need of repair. I called Ken, who was at our house within hours of the initial call. What most impressed me and distinguished him from others, was that he not only looked to repair leak, but also spent time identifying the exterior source of the problem (made difficult given the leak was from an interior wall) and determined why the problem was happening. He took the time not only to explain what was happening and what needed to be done, but also showed us the work he would perform and explained the materials he would be using. He also identified potential future problems. After explaining the work and providing an estimate, we hired Brick Concepts to perform the job.All the members of Brick Concepts with whom we interacted were professional, in every aspect of the job. They arrived timely (if not early), and worked all throughout the day - beginning with digging up the side of the house to repair the hole in the foundation (determined to be the source of the problem). Further, while repairing the expansion joint near the source (identified as streaming water to the source), a second (previously unknown) crack in the foundation was discovered, which they also repaired. After repairing the exterior (the work mentioned above, in addition to tuckpointing and repairing stress cracks in our brickwork), Brick Concepts sealed the interior basement wall. Because of the hard work, they were able to finish the job earlier than expected, and left without any sign work had been done - having restored the areas they worked and cleaning everything up when they were finished. Before leaving the job, Ken showed us the work that had been completed (done exactly as he had explained) to ensure we were satisfied.

They were extremely professional and knowledgeable. All of the quotes I recieved were from companies that had good reviews on Angie's List, so they all seemed like they would have been acceptable choices, but this team appeared to know their craft best. They were very professional and answsered all of my questions right away and with a great deal of patience. They were very responsive to my needs. They arrived when they were supposed to, worked the entire time they were here, and cleaned up the entire job when they were done. At each phase of the work, the crew leader would ask me to come and look at the work and explained what was done and the basis for the steps taken. They also finished on schedule and on budget. We need additional work done to our chimney and I will be calling them again to complete this work as well when we are ready. I would highly recommend them to others.

Excellent. Ken & his crew were outstanding, professional, extremely polite and paid attention to all details (big & small). He explained each job in detail in language you could understand. They cleaned up after each job was performed and I could not believe they worked tirelessly during the worst extreme heat we have had in years. I would recommend (in fact, I already have done so) to anyone looking to have brick work done. I don't think you can find another contractor that works as hard as Ken & his crew to make sure the customer is satisfied with the end job.

Jordan's work was simply outstanding. He was prompt in coming out, estimating and offering a very competitive bid--and he secured my trust by giving clear detail on how the work would be done. He managed some unexpected difficulties: my 1912 two-family flat definitely has a few quirks and when the bottom step turned out to be put together in a way that made it impossible to restore, he a poured a brand new step that looks great with the existing structure. His team was top notch. Randy and Tim worked efficiently, and left the work site clean. Along the way, Jordan was careful to communicate what he was doing how long it would take. He consulted me and gave me options on decisions that might extend the project or lead to greater expense. He and his crew worked really hard. The completed front arms and steps are a sharp and strong piece of work. I would definitely seek Jordan out for any additional masonry job. I highly recommend Jordan and Brick Concepts.

I think Ken is a miracle worker as my finished basement no longer has any water leaks! Ken and his crew were fabulous; they were neat, courteous, and professional. I would rate Ken A++ for skill, efficiency, and professionalism. Ken is dependable, a man of his word, and enjoys his work. I highly recommend Ken for any brick, cement, and concrete repair/replacement. He is remarkably skilled at understanding water leaks and repairing foundations (far above the other water leak specialists I contacted). I will contact him for other work.

I initially got three estimates and Louis was the first one to respond with a date. He came out and had a solid plan on how to tackle the tuckpointing and chimney cap repair that needed to be done. Other companies had me detail out what exactly I wanted done. Louis took the initiative and told me how exactly he would do the repair work. They scheduled me soon after I agreed to the price and came out to do the work. In the end, it was quality work. I was not completely satisfied with the chimney cap they installed. I let Louis know the next day and he came out himself the same day to redo the work. I appreciate their commitment to customer satisfaction. If Louis is any indication, I think this is a quality company and I would gladly do business with them again. They are prompt, professional and accountable if they make a mistake.

Ben was very helpful and positive from the estimate, through and after the completion of the job. He was friendly and creative about being able to keep the natural look I prefer and restoring the driveway rather than just destroying the roots and pouring concrete. I thought his estimate was fair. I had purchased a "Big Deal" from another company and Ben gave me a better price for the brick work on the walk than they had. Happily, Angie's List allowed me to get a refund on the Big Deal. They started when they said they would and finished when they said they would. Weather prevented them from sealing the walk on the day they finished, and Ben showed up on the first nice weather day after that to complete the task. As someone with an older home (built 1931), it is not always easy to find workers and companies who understand and appreciate the workmanship of homes not built as they are today. Nor is it easy to find people eager to deal with the issues that often come up with older houses. I was happy with this company and would definitely use them again and recommend them to others. Ask for Ben - he was great!

He seemed very professional and knowledgeable. He also came yesterday to give an estimate for another project. We did have some miss communication throughout the estimate process. I requested an email with the quote but instead he left the quote over my voicemail. We then lost contact due to his personal reasons. However, the work he did was exceptional. Overall, we were satisfied with work and he did a few extra things for us as well.

It took them a year for them to come out but once they came out they were easy to work with. It was higher than what I would have liked to pay but I have nothing to compare it to.

Brick work was very good. Concrete work had some issues but it was addressed promptly.

I found Brick Concepts on AngiesList and contacted them through their website. A few days passed and I received a call. Surprisingly, they were able to come out on a Saturday morning to quote the job - which worked well for me so I didn't have to take time off work. He showed up pretty close to the discussed time. He examined the area and discussed what he thought happened. It made sense to me. He then talked up the effort it would take to complete the job - probably 2 days so the wall would be secure, etc. Understandably it sounded like a significant amount of effort so I was expected a couple thousand. He then quoted $2,400 and a few minutes later dropped the price to $2,175. All things considered and the reviews on AngiesList, I said we'll do it. He told me it'd be a couple weeks before they could come out. That worked ok for me as I wanted to be home for the repair work. I also noticed on his truck the Mastercard/Visa stickers presumably indicating they take those types of payments. So I signed the proposal and he took off. I was expecting a call the following Saturday to schedule the repair the next week. I had already let my boss know that I'd need to work from home. Wednesday night he called (3 days early) telling me they would be out in the morning. From my perspective the repair wasn't urgent so this call was frustrating. He said he would take pictures and meet me when I got home from work to review. Ultimately, I decided that would be fine as I couldn't be home. So my wife indicated they showed up at 9:40am. They were gone by 5:30pm or so. So what was originally estimated to be two days of effort took less than a day. The supervisor showed up as he agreed at 6pm when I got home. He provided pictures from the process and went over the job. The repair looked good even though they couldn't get the wall back to perfectly level. He also told me that two good masons could build the entire wall in one day. There really wasn't anything to request additionally. So he then requested I write the check out to Brick Concepts LLC. I asked if they took credit cards (as that was my preferred method of payment). He told me not for a job this small - it has to be $5,000 or more as they get charged 14% for credit card use. So they appear to have a minimum credit card fee and have fees of 500% more than every other vendor that uses credit cards? (the going rate as I understand it is 2.5%). This was frustrating as well because I would have preferred to use my credit card. Reflecting on the experience, it feels like the price was a bit high and the repair was talked up a bit esp because it ended up taking less than a day to complete. I would at least get another quote next time. I would say they were very nice throughout the whole experience.

There was a series of unfortunate incidents for them. I had purchased two big deals on Angie's List for them to come out and help me with some issues. It ended up that they did not come out and I never heard from them. So, I contacted the company and they were totally unaware that I had called. I don't want to give them a bad name because they went through a rough period and it just happened to be coincidental with me wanting to take advantage of the big deal. I excused them. I will probably give them another chance.
