Ken did a great job, very professional and energetic. He went to great lengths to make sure there would be no mess. He pointed out some places that needed repaired on the chimney. Being an accomplished DIYer, I elected to do the work myself, but I believe his bid for the repair work was reasonable and would be a good value. I was very confident that he would have done a good job.

The initial purchase was for a chimney cleaning. This was done. We have an insert in our fireplace, an insulator. This was not pulled out. All the other chimney cleanings we've had done, the insulator was pulled out. After he cleaned the chimney and had been on the roof, he came down with pictures on his phone of the chimney where bricks were cracked and loose. I asked him if he could email me the pictures and he said no, his phone didn't have that capability. I wanted the pictures to have my husband see them. I asked him to write me an estimate of all the work he had told me needed to be done. He gave me the estimate and I asked him to come back the next day, to talk with my husband. We never heard from him again. I feel the chimney cleaning was a bait and switch. All they really want to do is tell you that your chimey needs fixing. There may be some lose and cracked bricks, but his total fee for fixing our chimeny was going to be over $1,800, that's a lot of money. We are going to get a second opinion. The fact that he never got back to us makes me think they're not very professional.

Great!! - took a little bit of time to get a call back, but once that was done the appt was set for the next week. Guys were professional and very helpful.

Called promptly and scheduled the cleaning. Changed the time once due to rain. Arrived promptly on the scheduled morning. Dealt with the fireplace insert without remark or complaint. Worked very hard to clean the chimney. Cleaned up completely. They also provided feedback on the cap and the insert. I was very pleased.

They did good work, and we are satisfied with the service. My neighbor was so impressed with them that he had them work on his house, too.

I called the company twice, 9/28 and 10/1, leaving detailed messages about the problems I am having at my home and requesting a call back if they do this type of work. No one has called back yet!!

They were professional, organized, and punctual. I would use them again.

The chimney sweep was performed and the inspection was thorough. I didn't have the work done on the chimney that was recomended

Does very good work. However, got appointment time wrong on second chimney cleaning. Has no office staff to answer phone, so a little hard to communicate with.

They did great work. They came out the same day. They finished the work the same day. They sent out two workers. Their pricing is reasonable.

Everything went fine. I would hire them again or recommend to friends.

I emailed Brick Concepts directly on the Angies list listing. I left a detailed voice mail when I was avavilable and the rep Robert Morris called when he knew I was not available. They were supposed to come to our home today at 11 am for an estimate. When I called the company at 11:15 am and spoke to the owner Ken he did not have a record of our job and was rifling through papers to try and find it. Apparently they do not have a computer. Ken asked is he late. Apparently he does not have access to a watch/clock either. He said this happens to him all the time. He yelled at me stating just cancel the whole thing. DO NOT USE this comany.

It hasn't gone overall - it hasn't gone at all. I can't get them to call me and set up an appointment.

It went great. They got here early, were neat and efficient, and were helpful.

Chimney sweep was ok but gave me a $2300 estimate for "needed repairs" which my brother then checked out and found unneccesary.Masonry and chimney crowns were in good shape but they said needed replacing/repairing.Even knocking out and replacing bricks. Only thing I needed was waterpoofing/flashing.

He and his partner have been fantastic! I bought this house and moved in during July. This house had very dangerous stairs and I fell backwards down them. I called Brick concepts and they were out here immediately. They were very responsive and even cleaned up after themselves! He didn't leave anything behind to see that work had just been completed. He even cut my pavers for me so that they looked nice. They were so kind to me. I am very happy with the steps and their services. He did a phenomenal job and I am so happy with them.

Overall, went well. The rep was very nice and professional.

I initially called Ben (Acct. Rep) back in June or July for a quote to repair the brick work for my front porch, which included replacing the concrete stairs and some tuck pointing. Brick Concepts was one of (3) contractors I had called from Angie's List for an estimate. I thought Brick Concepts quote was more reasonable than some of the others, so I decided to work with them. I liked their quote, because they allow the customer to pay upon completion of the job, which what great for me as it allowed me time to ensure I had all the money when the job was finished. Little did I know that they were able to complete the job in (2-3 days) which didn't give me the time I initially thought i.e. 1 week to have all the monies for payment. So they were able to work with me by slowing down the job. Regarding the quality of the work performed. Overall it was good. I was a bit disappointed that as the contractors started rebuild the brick on the front porch, they realized that the foundation of the porch wasn't leveled, which caused the quality of the work to be compromised somewhat to account for the foundation problem. I was not very pleased with the height of the concrete steps that were done along with how they finished the sides of the top step as it didn't look like a "polished" job as expected. They didn't level the new concrete to be even with the rest of the cap of the porch on the left side of the top step. Ben had to come out and cut it to make it even after the job was considered "done". By far this was the part of the job I wasn't as pleased with the overall outcome. The Tuck pointing that was done on the side of my house was "top notch"! I thought they did an awesome job blending the new bricks and grout into the existing structure of the house. Despite some of the challenges I had with the quality of the work. Overall it was good. I actually asked Ben to give me a quote on additional exterior work that I would like to get done in the next few months.

It went OK. They came out and did the work and cleaned up after themselves. They also gave suggestions on things that they felt needed to be done.

He didn't want to do any work for what I had paid on the Big Deal. He said he doesn't go out to work for anything less than $500. I had multiple scheduling conflicts. I would not recommend this company.

A Technician named Dan can to my home and cleaned my fireplace and chimney. He was very professional, punctual and thorough. He did an excellant job cleaning the fireplace area and the chimney from top to bottom. I will be calling this company back, when I need my fireplace cleaned again.

Ken came out on a Sunday at the time he said he would. He looked at everything I asked him to (we have several masonry needs) and we discussed solutions. My home's brick is quite rare and Ken presented several options of how to get around this issue. Ken cleaned our fireplace as advertised, and even looked into some brick options for us after the fact. He gave me a fair quote to do some work, but I declined at the time because of other (non-masonry) projects that needed attention first. I have still not addressed my masonry needs, but when I do, I will definitely give Ken a call and have him quote the jobs.

I called to schedule an estimate and Ken answered the phone. He asked me to please call back and leave a message because he was working in a basement at the time. I called back as I was asked and left a detailed message with my name, phone number and the reason for my call. I never received a call back. I waited over 2 weeks and had 3 other estimates done and still no call. I guess they didn't want my business.

We had a definite creosote buildup, so the chimney really needed cleaning, and I don't have to worry about it this winter. Lewis was very nice and professional. and we would use them again. Thanks!

I originally purchase an Angie's List Big Deal back in May to inspect and determine the cause of water leaks in my basement. Ken (the owner) was very friendly and came out promptly and provided a thorough inspection and a couple of quotes. He answered all of my questions, even those not related to the quoted jobs, and seemed very knowledgeable. For financial reasons I waited until September to begin one of the projects but Ken still honored his original quote and even gave a slight discount. The work was performed exactly as quoted and the quality was excellent. He even did a little extra sealing around part of the front of the house. I would definitely call him again for future work.
