The thing that I don't like about them is that they lack on follow ups. They called me for an appointment and when they came out they don't have the parts so they would have to get back.

My dishwasher wasn't cleaning dishes well and I had been handwashing everything for over a year! He didn't charge much because the stop was quick and he mostly just talked to me about how to run the dishwasher, what kind of detergent/rinse agent to use., etc I took his advice and my dishes were spotless. He was on time and very professional. Highly recommended.

I called and they scheduled a repair right away. Repairman Mark was exactly what you would want in a repairman. Nice, prompt, polite, efficient. He determined the problem quickly. Then, he not only replaced the broken part, he fixed up the exhaust tube, put the dryer back in place for me. I will definitely call Berkley Appliance next time I need a repair. I am glad I did my research on Angie's List.

I found this company on Angies list and they are highly reviewed. They have the service area listed as "Oakland County" however when I called them and told them that I lived in Rochester Hills (which is Oakland County) they said that the don't get out to this area. They gave me the name of another company that is not listed on Angies list but they say they are good. Very dissapointed that they don't service the area they have listed on the site.

They were really good. It fixed itself between when I called and when he came over. When I explained it to him, he checked the door and then cleaned the fan and back of the refrigerator for me.

Our washing machine wasn't spinning, therefore, not draining. I found Berkley Appliance on Angies List and set up an appointment for the next day. They gave me a range of between 1 and 5 o'clock and said they would call before they came. They said the service call would be 55.00 and they usually can fix things on the spot and carry parts on the truck. Mark, called and said he would be there in approximately 20 minutes. He arrived, and quickly discovered a broken switch but had to run back to the shop to get the part. He came back, replaced the switch. and I was back in business. The service call was 55.00 as stated, part 39.50 and labor 58.00. He gave me a 5 percent discount. The total bill was $149.22. I was happy and he gave me a refrigerator magnet for future. Mark was fast, efficient, friendly, knowledgeable. I would recommend this company and definitely use them again in the future.

The response to my call was prompt, the appointment was on time, and the service was professionally delivered.

he arrived on time and did a wonderful job. He left no mess and was so friendly. The original cost came to 169 dollars but he later called my daughter and said he had made an error with one of the parts and dropped off a 30 dollar check for me. His honesty completely blew me away. I won't go to anyone else now.

They were really good. They came within the time frame they gave and called ahead. They deducted the service call from the total cost. They were very knowledgable.

I called Berkley Appliance on Saturday, 3/30 to request an appointment for an estimate on repairing my 2nd (basement) refridgerator. I told the gentleman that answered the phone that the fridge was only about 10 or 11 years old and he said that was not old for fridge so I decided to have them come out and evaluate it's condition. The appt was set for Monday, 4/1 between 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM. On Monday, 4/1 I returned from a 3-day week-end to find a jam-packed day of conference calls - two of which were scheduled to happen during the service window. So I called Berkley Appliance and explained the situation and the time limitations. They were very accomodating and agreed to come during the times I wasn't busy. They arrived just as I was finishing one of my calls. The service tech went right to work evaluating the fridge. Unfortunately, he said that there were too many things wrong w/ the fridge to make it worth my while to repair. He recommended that I replace the fridge which I found very refreshing and professional considering that their business is to repair. I would definitely use Berkley Appliance again for other appliance repair situations considering this experience. I felt that the service tech was capable, honest and ethical which is hopefully a representation of the company itself.

Wanted a honest assessment of whether our clothes washer could be repaired. They were very polite over the phone, even when we called back to reschedule. They arrived promptly and determined the washer needed replacing. They didn't try to sell us an expensive repair.

The repair person was very knowledgeable on Maytag driers. Gave us some practical advice regarding the issue of whether we should replace the drier. I was exceptionally satisfied with the service.

The services were excellent, but the repair person wreaked of smoke. I am a former smoker, but the smell was terrible and we could hardly wait for him to leave. I would ask for another repairman if possible, but I like the company

The representative arrived a little after 11 am on Monday, spent about 20 to 30 minutes exploring the underside of our dishwasher, found that one of the two springs that supported the door had failed. He did not have replacement springs on hand but he promptly placed an order for two new springs. He came back two days later with the new springs and after pulling the dishwasher out from under the counter a bit, he installed the new springs and repositioned the dishwasher back under the counter. Taking maybe 15 minutes to complete.

Unfortunately the cost of repairs would have exceeded the cost of a new refrigerator. Technician recommended purchase of a new one. I found that very refreshing since his company would have received the repair business but no money when I purchased a new refrigerator from a big box retailer.

The call went well and was fast. The repair man was knowledgable and knew his job.

They were good. I would rate them a 9 out of 10.

Very helpful, on time, knowledgable, reasonably priced

.The Gentleman from Berkley Appliance was the same gentleman who came all 3 times and he was very punctual. He called me when he was on his way over to explain that he would be here in 10 to 15 minutes. He came in and explained what was happening with either the washer or the dryer at the time, he looked at each item and assessed them and fixed them. This didn't cost me anything because of the plan that I have with my utilities. He cleaned up after working and took away the old parts and was very cordial. I have recommended him to some of my neighbors.

Couldn't be happier with this company. Call them - they're honest.

Paul arrived as scheduled and quickly discovered why my washer was "frozen" in the rinse cycle. Within a few minutes, he had generated a quote for parts and labor.He suggested that the manufacturer might offer me a replacement for this catastrophic part failure, so I held off on ordering the repair that day (the quote was good for 30 days). Within a day, however, it was clear that Maytag wasn't going to negotiate - so I called Berkely Appliance back and scheduled the repair. Two days later, Paul was back, part in hand, and made the repair in less than half an hour. Friendly, fast and efficient.

Stove was not working after a power outage. Was told this was probably an edison problem --which it was. Just charged for the service call which was fair and I was directed to the right thing to do.

Overall, Paul from Berkley Appliance was awesome. Very friendly and courteous. He identified the problem within 10 minutes and handed me an estimate to fix the issue within 15 minutes. He fixed the problem in less than 45 minutes and cleaned up any mess that was made. I will definitely use Berkley Appliance for any home appliance repair in the future.
