It was fine. They were able to get a few spots out that I wasn't sure if they would be able to, so that was good.

They did alright. They explained why things became what they were. But they couldn't get off the residue off the tile.

They showed up during the window they had scheduled; work went well; carpets were clean and smelled great!

Overall very well but they were packing up outside before I realized they were done. I went and look at the job and one room looked like they missed spots near the door. They said it would lighten as it dried, which it did but the heavier traffic areas near the door didn't get as clean as the rest of the room so that was disappointing. Perhaps I will have them do it again when I have them back to clean rugs. They were professional and efficient, and didn't cause any damage.

It went very well. Two young men were very nice and professional . They did an excellent job and I will call them again in the future.

Everything went well. On the initial call, it was explained to me the additional costs for the stairs and the basement. That was expected as what was covered in the big deal did not include these. On the day of the service received a call when they were supposed to show that they were running a little late. Previous job took longer than they expected. No big deal as they showed up shortly thereafter. Cleaned the carpets as advertised. Overall a good job was done I think. I was not able to see the carpets after they had fully dried as we had to turn the keys in the next morning. In the future I would go with a provider that also has the option of a rotary cleaner device. I think there were some spots that would have come up if that was used.

Great! The two guys were prompt, friendly, professional and efficient. They were willing to move some furniture to get at neglected areas to clean when other services refused to do this. After they left, we noticed an area in the hallway that didn't appear quite clean, and when we called them about this, they came right back the next morning and re-cleaned that section to our satisfaction. .Overall, they were a pleasure to work with, and we will not hesitate to call them again in the future

I purchased the big deal for our new house that has really nasty carpet when we moved in. Appointment was scheduled very quickly. They could accommodate our need for a Saturday appointment, which was a relief. Two men came to perform the services, arriving within the window that was set up. We did a walkthrough where they made sure to ask about any areas I was concerned about. They informed me of the other services the company offers in a very nice way (sometimes it can be pushy, this wasn't the case). Being in a new place that needs a lot of work I was grateful for the information. I did like that the coupon price wasn't a "gotcha" deal where they try to upsell you on everything once they arrive. I added one additional service that was very reasonable (scotch guard) and that was it. Both men were very professional and had great attention to detail. They didn't rush the job. The results are dramatic, it looks like new carpet! I look forward to working with this company in the future.

We purchased a big deal for the service, and it turned out very well. I asked them to do the stairs, and they charged a little more for that. They were very friendly, and courteous, they were professional, and they seemed eager to want to do a good job. They came on time.

They came in on time and were friendly and very courteous. Cleaned grout which I knew would not be easy to clean. They went above and beyond my expectations. I would use their services again as they turned out to be a very "big deal indeed!

In any every service there's a lot to be said for professionalism, a lot to be said for courtesy, and a lot for empathy (knowing what you want because you understand why you want it). Some do well on the technical end, but not on the rest. Some do well on courtesy and can make up for some lacking of technical capacity. Some, however, just 'get it' and do whatever it takes to make things right. That's these guys - besides the fact that they have and know how to use the proper equipment, they also understand the people aspect and most of all, they figure out and act on the reason why they were called in the first place. Would I hire these folks again? Let me put it this way - my business is now theirs to lose. Clear enough? PS For all my friends and neighbors in the Pinckney area - we don't have a lot to pick from and these folks are happy to come out here, so if you're looking at getting carpet, tile, upholstered furniture cleaned - these guys are pros and they're available for you. Go for it.

The carpet was cleaner after the work was finished. One area treated with the stain remover in a den did not come out well. The carpet did not dry as quickly as they advertised. Overall the carpet and chair look cleaner. The technician was on time, worked hard and had a pleasant personality.

Called them up before buying the coupon deal. Explained to person all the sq ft area and would their coupon cover it. I was told YES. So I bought the coupon. When they came out, I was told I'd have to pay an additional $50, which feels like a bait and switch since I had already explained very clearly what my square footage was. They started spraying scotch guard on the carpet before my house sitter could confirm with me whether I wanted it or not. So I ended up having to pay for that too. There were still dark, obvious spots that they didn't bother to treat. Parts of the carpet were left sopping wet. The worst was that they spilled out a great big pile of dog hair and carpet debris onto my lawn. It looked like a huge hairball that something the size of a tiger would vomit up. It was really disgusting and I was made to clean it up. HOW UNPROFESSIONAL!

They did a good service. They did good work; it was a little difficult to reach them at the beginning but in the end they did great work.

The grout and tile cleaning went very well. I just purchased a home and the tile and grout was filthy, in fact, most of the grout was black. After purchasing several cleaning products to clean it myself, I decided to try a professional. Selective by far had the best price of everyone I contacted. I have a nice size kitchen area with a connected hallway and entrway and a full and half bath. They did a great job for a reasonable price. Once they arrived I even decided to have them clean my couch and loveseat. They even cleaned the carpet in my walk-in closet at no charge and gave me $20 off. I will call selective to clean some fabric blinds in the very near future. Great Job Selective!

The service went alright. The cleaning itself was average at best, but some extra services they did which were for some extra fee turned out better than I ever expected. So, overall I was happy enough with the overall engagement. They charged me $20 or $30 more because the big deal covered like five areas. It turned out not the whole house, but it I had one more room or area. They thought it was included in the deal so that was a small surprise, but it was fair enough. Then, they charged me about a $100 extra for additional services beyond the big deal. They counted the stairway and the hall both separately so it came out different. I probably would not recommend them. They were not bad, but it was not good. The problem I had was that I had some serious spots on the carpet, and they explained that you can always get the spots out. When they cleaned it and it was wet, it looked like they all came out, but after they were gone and it dried, it seemed all the spots were there. It is true that could not happen, but I found that I got most of the spots out just with a regular supermarket spot cleaner after the fact. So, that made me a little less than candid with the fact that they could not get them out. The pricing was fine. They had problem with punctuality coming from an earlier appointment.

I expected slightly better results. The carpet had a "sticky" feel to it and, when I vacuumed it prior to a new tenant moving in, there was a great deal of dirt in the canister, which I wouldn't have expected. However, the carpet was in pretty bad shape prior to the cleaning, so I didn't expect miracles.

I called Selective Carpet the morning of June 17 to have the carpets cleaned at my newly purchase house. I was very excited that they were able to come out on June 18 like I wanted. I was pleased by this as it was short notice and because I already had time off. They were very quick to answer the phone and were polite and patient with all my questions. This was the first time I was having this service done and not feeling rushed was appreciated. I was told it would take them about 2 hours to clean the carpets and I was even given a deal without having to ask for one. I think it is fantastic that they look out for the consumer and don't make us jump through hoops to get a good price. Even though I called over the phone I was able to use their Angie's List deal ($167 for Fast Dry Cleaning up to 6 areas ? 35% off) on my house but had to purchase additional square footage as my house had more than 6 areas. In addition to the cleaning I purchase the Scott Guard protection. On June 18th Selective Carpet was scheduled to arrive around 8:30am. Twenty minutes before they arrived I received a phone call notifying me that they were on their way and would be there in around twenty minutes. They arrived right on time and Cody and Kevin introduce themselves. These two guys were fantastic! They started by walking around and getting familiar with the house and the carpet. Asked if there were any spots that I wanted them to focus on, they confirmed my order so there was no confusion of what they were expected to clean. Before they started they made sure I was okay with the hose laying on the grass, with them going through the front door, the sink they used to get water, and they even asked if it was okay for them to use the restroom. Throughout their cleaning they informed me of their progress, asked me to confirm I was happy with each room, instructed me to turn the air conditioning fans on to help speed up the drying process. As communicated it took them about 2 hours to clean the entire house and there were no hidden charges at the end. I only paid the $365 that was communicated up front. Cody and Kevin were polite and professional. Overall I was very happy with their service and would recommend them to others.

The crew explained in detail my cleaning options to get the best job for the money. I decided on the wand for low traffic areas and the scrubber (extra charge) for two high traffic areas. My home is also an office at home where there are 4 people here 5 days a week. The scrubber was worth every penny - it cleaned and fluffed the carpet in the two problem rooms. The place looks great and the staff commented immediately the next day. Because I am sensitive to perfume orders, the crew used only straight soap - nothing scented which I appreciated greatly.

I found Selective through one of Angie's lists "Big Deals" . They are based in Plymouth, so I wasn't even sure they would travel to my area. I am so glad they did. I have small children and our light beige carpets hadn't been cleaned in a year an a half. Y-U-C-K. But they are now spotless. They have this super scrubber that they can use on really soiled carpets. It costs a little extra, and I just knew I would need it. I didn't! They were able to get my icky carpet cleaned using their normal procedures. Wonderful!! They do steam clean, so it took a while for it to dry. The finished about 3:30. We ran fans in some rooms and not in others. The rooms with fans were dry before we went to bed about 9:30. The rest were fine when we woke up. None of those 2 or 3 day nightmares I've heard about. I am very pleased, and highly recommend.
