Selective Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning

This company was on time ,completely excellent to work with was very professional , the two gentlemen that came were father and son family, that is so awesome to me they did a bunch of stuff for us and were excellent definitely recommend them

They called a half hour before to let me know when they’d be here. They were punctual and within their time 3 hour time frame. Very professional and friendly. They did 3 rooms of carpet and 5 chairs. Gave the carpet new life to last until I can replace the it. Chairs turned out much cleaner and fresher than they were. They even did 3 rugs I had at my doors just because, for no extra cost. They don’t move beds or dressers but they did move the couches. I had moved all the small stuff out of the rooms ie tables, floor lamp,.. I would use them again.

They called and gave me a 45 min ETA., and was on time. Carpet looked new and smelled fresh. Some areas of carpet need repair and they gave me a prompt estimate that’s reasonable. I plan to hire them again. They aren’t the cheapest around but I go for quality and it worked out. My teenage boys don’t usually notice anything past the food in the kitchen and took time to say, "they did a good job".

Cody and Corey were great! Had 14 rooms to clean and they did a thorough job- even though it was late on a Friday night. Thank you for your excellent attention to details!

Very well, they cleaned small living room, small dinning room, stairs and small hallway. The company responded quick to my request for an estimate. Their price for the service area was very good. The guys called before coming and arrived early. They got right to work. They sprayed carpet, scrubbed it, then steamed cleaned it. It took them only and hour. The guys were very nice and polite. They also told me to put my ceiling fans on to help the carpet dry faster.

The Whole process went very well. Communicated very good through email, called when on their way, showed up on time (little early which worked out better) and Jason and Kyle were extremely pleasant and professional. Was very happy with their job.

Very professional and prompt. Was very accommodating in terms moving area rugs to the basement to clean and leave them to dry. Overall, I was hoping that they would have been more successful in getting out pet urine odor.... I wasn't horrible, but probably worse than I had expected.

These guys were nice to work with, professional, returned calls promptly. My only complaint is that both times we hired them they arrived two hours later than they said they would. This is a big deal for me since I usually have to take time off work to have the carpets cleaned. They do good work and I'd probably hire them again.

Not what I thought. It is just steam cleaning rather than actual grout cleaning. I was advised to get a grout specialist to get the stains off.

He did an awesome job and we will definitely use him again!

Outstanding! Arrived on time--went right to work--the end product is great and he cleaned up after himself--it looks like a new shower stall. Brian is not chatty, he is all about the work and based on how my shower looks now he clearly knows what he is doing. I have already recommended him to a friend and I will probably have him back for some other jobs in the future. He is a great find.

It went fine. Afterwards I think that maybe my tiles were more of a replace rather than clean. It looked better and I know cleaner but in retrospect I should have just had the tiles replaced. No fault of the cleaning company. They did fine.

We had finished a complete repainting of our newly purchased Dexter home and wanted a thorough cleaning of our floors prior to a entertaining a large group. The staining of the original grout on our extensively tiled first floor suggested that they had never been properly protected or cleaned in its 20 year existence. The 2 guys that came to our house were clearly most capable and did a great job on the carpets, especially some spots of particular concern to us. Our greatest focus was to clean and restore the original color of grout on our tile floors. After the tile and grout dried, we were pleased beyond expectation to see that the original grout color was restored and uniform throughout all the areas they cleaned. Just wish that we had done even the low traffic areas we had thought could be deferred. We will get Selective back in 2018 and get these areas as well.

This is the best carpet cleaners - efficient, careful about the space and possessions, polite and courteous. I’ll always call these guys!

Great!!!! Did not use the expensive "Butler" system used by Hagopian. And it was just as good.

One of the WORKMEN STOLE MONEY from me. After the cleaning was done, I asked one of the workmen to move a chair upstairs. He agreed, and I got money ready so I could tip him. I keep an envelope with about $80 cash in my business planner. He was watching as I took money from the envelope and put the envelope back in the planner. After he moved the chair, I tipped him, and he went back downstairs. I was upstairs for a few more minutes before I went down to finish up and pay for the cleaning. His whole manner had changed. He had been friendly, but he was suddenly gruff and irritable. At the moment, I didn't know why. A couple of days later, I looked for the envelope, and it was gone. I was the only person in my house after the cleaning. No one else had access to my planner. I called Selective's office and told the woman who scheduled the work that one of their workmen stole money from me. She said she would tell the owner. I didn't want to make a fuss, but I never heard from him. If he had called to apologize and tell me that he took some action, I would have let the issue drop. Instead, I am writing this review. I have also made a police report.
