Selective Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning

I was very happy with everything about the job. The guys arrived on time, they were very professional, they moved some furniture (more than I expected) and they did a great job. I will most definitely have them back very soon.

The work was done quickly and professionally. The crew were polite, did an initial assessment of some stains, and were honest about the outcome.

I've had some major stain issues due to spilled foods and paint and called Selective Carpets to help. I called Thursday at 5pm in hopes of next day service, and they were easily able to accommodate me the next morning. They guys showed up on time and reviewed their process before starting. They even gave me some tips to help me in the future if some stains occur. They worked very fast and the carpets came out great, not to mention the great price, which was exactly what I was quoted in the beginning. Would definitely use them again if I decide to do the upstairs area as well.

We thought we would have to replace the carpeting but they got most of the stains out. Had to come back for a couple of touch ups and did so willingly. We would use them again.

Whole house carpet cleaning up to 6 areas. Since we had not moved into our house yet it went really quickly. They did a great job as far as I could tell. This was my first carpet cleaning. They were very nice and informative.

They did a great job. There were a couple of guys that came and they were young, probably in their 20s but they were totally polite and respectful. They came in did their thing and was quick. The carpet was great. I would use them again. They did a good job. I've had the same exact service done by different companies and I've had someone charge me more than double their price.

They were very upbeat, got along fine with the dog.

I purchased a big deal coupon for this company. It was great. The guys were great, they were on time and they got everything, all the stains up, it was great. There was nothing bad, the guys were very helpful and kindly and they were in and out, they were quick.

They did a great job. They were punctual, efficient, and professional. Will definitely use them again. My only advice is to plan on extra drying time in cold, damp weather (over 2 full days).

All stains were removed and the carpet doors are gone! They did a super job!

They did a very nice job on the cleaning. I have off white carpet in a bedroom and they were able to get stains out that nobody else had been able to My carpet looks like new again.. They were punctual and called to let me know when to expect them. The 2 young men were very friendly and polite. I would use them again.

Very simple. They were scheduled to come out yesterday and do some carpet cleaning and stretching. They were supposed to be out between 12pm-4pm and no one ever came. I've called them twice and left messages asking where they are with no response.

First time I have used Selective Carpet Cleaners but I will definitely use them again. Cory and Stephen showed up on time (even a little early) and were very professional and courteous. They were here about 2 hours and my carpets look brand new even through they are 11 years old. They were able to remove several stubborn stains that I though would never come out. Carpets don't seem too wet so they should dry in 8-10 hours. Good job guys!

I contacted Selective Carpeting through Angie's List and couldn't have been happier. They were responsive, arrived as scheduled and went to work! The carpets were beautifully done.

It was fine, my husband dealt more with the whole interaction and everything but the carpet looks good. He said everything worked out well. They did the living room, a hallway, bedroom and a dining room and paid extra to do basement and stairs. We would definitely consider them in the future.

Needed carpets done quickly at the last minute before moving in to a new home. Used a big deal coupon. They added a hallway for a reasonable extra charge to the 6 areas included. A little slow to respond to schedule, but the team was prompt, professional and efficient. Carpets look and smell great. Would use them again.

2 days after I purchased the Deal, I received an email asking for me to provide the date for the service. I left a message on Friday October 18 regarding questioning the specific days they provide services and have not received a call back. I feel that a call made back within 48 hours is not asking for too much. It has now been 4 days since I left the message.

We had a mix up with the scheduling, but upon realizing the error, Selective Carpet had someone at our house within a half hour. They got right to work, and cleaned approximately 2,000 square feet of carpet in roughly an hour and a half. The machine that they used was impressive, and left the carpet clean and just a little damp. We had a couple small areas that took until the next day to dry, but 90% was dry within 6-8 hours. After drying, the carpet didn't have a crunchy feel to it like I've had in the past when soap is left behind. They offered some suggestions for cleaning our couch and tile, as well as some rough quotes for what the work would cost, but were not pushy about us signing on for anything else at that time. We will definitely use Selective Carpet again in the future.

This is the third time in just a few months that we've used Selective carpets. My wife and I own seven rental condos in Ann Arbor and have tried several local carpet cleaning services. For the most recent cleaning we called Selective after hours on a Friday evening to request an appointment for the next day (Saturday). They came through beautifully with an early Saturday afternoon appointment. I was surprised not only that they were able to respond so quickly, but also because they were able to respond quickly on a Saturday to an after-hours Friday phone call! We needed the quick turnaround in this case because I'd met with our new tenants Friday evening to receive payment of final move-in costs and to give them condo keys. The tenants had expressed concern because the cream-colored carpet looked a bit spotty and dingy, especially in the living room and dining room. The tenants had movers scheduled for Sunday and hoped the carpets could be cleaned prior to their move-in. We'd just purchased this condo in August 2013 and were told that the seller already had the carpets professionally cleaned just prior to the sale. I'd assumed the remaining grunge was mostly untreatable and was not too optimistic about prospective results from another cleaning. The carpets didn't look bad, but they didn't look great either. After Selective cleaned the carpet I spoke to the tenants and asked them about the spots and the overall results. They said Selective had removed ALL of the spots, and that they were very happy with the results. Even better: Selective offered a coupon on Angie's List that allowed us to clean the entire 1700 sq. ft. condo for only $179. That's an OUTSTANDING deal. On a prior occasion this year we'd called Selective to clean the condo of a wonderful but very particular tenant. This tenant owns an extensive vinyl record collection and has beautiful furniture. They were concerned about finding a carpet service that would be careful, professional, and thorough. After Selective completed the cleaning the tenant gave them a great review and said he was very happy with their work. We'll definitely use Selective in the future. We have a lot of carpets to clean and Selective definitely knows how to clean them. :-)
