Selective Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning

I was initially looking for a deal to redo grout and tile and it ended up they only did cleaning, so we had them do the job and it went great.

Another employee came in and stood and watched with street shoes on during the cleaning process.I was surprised that he was walking on my wet carpet. When the two left, we were told that spots would disappear as the carpet dried. Spots in both bedrooms remain and carpet in both bedrooms does not look like it was cleaned. I was disappointed with this company's service. I will have to shampoo the carpets myself. The carpet cleaner remarked when he arrived that the carpet in my house did not look bad at all. I will not use this company again.

Cleaners were prompt (early by a few minutes), friendly, and professional. They were also very quick and efficient. The carpets turned out beautifully. They looked like new and they are very old high-low shag carpets (probably from the 70's). The cleaners also were able to eliminate some pet urine odors. I will definitely hire them again!

My carpeting was more wet than I expected; taking more than a day to dry. I don't believe the equipment was working properly.

They did a great job on the floors. The guys got lost coming to our house. The home office didn't give them the correct address so they were 2 hours late. Make sure to call and double check with the home office they have the correct address on file

It went very well. The call to me from Selective Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning to set the appointment was done in a timely way, and I was able to get an early appointment date as I needed. The lady who made the appointment was very nice and helpful. The carpeting was badly soiled and spotted and the cleaners, who were on time, did an excellent job. They were friendly and professional and I will call them in future.

Firm offered a reasonable price. They called a half hour beforehand so wife could leave work and meet them :) All went well and we are very happy with decision to clean carpets. In fact many (but not all) of the stains were removed Job took about an hour and a half. Will use this firm again so long as price remains fair.

Did not get permission to drive their truck on my grass.

They did an excellent job, cleaning the carpet on my basement and on a condominium unit we own.

Excellent service. Quick but very through. From schedule to service time was very short which was very much appreciated. Only thing I thought could be improved was the truck that came was not like the picture. The van was a rusted out and without the logo on the side which was the only "unprofessional" part of the packeage.

Went very well- very friendly, professional crew. They were also very quick- in and out within an hour or so. Grout looks great.

This is my second time using Selective Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning. Excellent work. Carpets are clean and fresh. They made sure to place plastic squares under the legs of furniture and worked extra h****** high traffic areas. I would have them back again.

The room carpet cleaning job was well done and the guys were easy to work with. They did two of my smaller oriental rugs without asking or telling me and both of them ruffled up a bit at the edges. I put heavy objects along the edges for some time to "iron" them down. It was a nice gesture (I think because they had spilled some cleaning fluid on one of the rugs) but it did not work so well for that kind of rug.

The overall experience was very good he was very professional about what was going on with it and what we should do in the future to care for it. He has years of experience. Its clear that he enjoys doing what he does and he was very personable guy just in general.

They did a great job, really happy. They also cleaned a couple of area rugs on the floor that I had....Wonderful job and would call them back again to clean carpets!!

The Service was great. Nowadays carpet layers rarely use a kicker to stretch carpet into place. Ours had developed a wrinkle in the family room carpet due in part to our dogs racing around and the minimally stretched original installation. The service man was able to re install the carpet and used a knee-kicker to take the wrinkle out. A little trimming and it was instantly better. Now six months later it is still great. best money ever spent.

The service was very professional and quick. The service guy had the wrong address and did show up later than expected however, he gave us a free treatment for our inconvenience. We would definitely use this company again.

Very professional and swift

It went great.....exceeded my expectations. The carpet we have in the basement is commercial carpet which is typically hard (or impossible) to stretch depending on how it was installed. Our Selective Carpet technician, Jason, came in and did an assessment. He had told us that if he found he would not be able to do the job to our satisfaction, he would just have our money refunded. I agreed to have him try to do what he could because some of it was very puckered and anything would have been an improvement. Well, Jason did a fantastic job! He removed several inches of the excess carpet and he got all the areas looking very smooth and even. It almost looks like new!! We were very pleased with his professionalism, good attitude and work ethic. He didn't make a big mess and where he had to remove the base moulding, he put it back in place....which I had assumed we would be responsible for. We will definitely use Selective again if we need some carpet stretched and because things went so well, we are going to call them to clean the carpet later this summer. From start to finish, it was a very good experience.

terrible. the carpet was actually much dirtier than when they got there. areas of the carpet that were clean before they got there now looked muddy. we had to have them come back out to go over it again. the furniture they cleaned still looked horrible. i tried their service twice to give them another chance and both times the quality was awful. i bought a $200 bissell carpet cleaner at Costco and did the carpet myself and it looked way way better than they did. i have two young kids so carpet cleaning is a frequently needed service.

This company was fabulous. They were hard working and thoughtful as they cleaned. They even did my kitchen rugs, which I didn't expect. I would recommend them without exception.

I found Selective Carpet & Upholstery on Angie's list and chose them based on their ratings, reviews, proximity and price. I ordered the service through Angie's list as well one evening and by the following day, the appointment had been set for just a couple of days afterward. The crew contacted us about 30 minutes ahead of their prompt arrival (unusual and refreshing). They were personable, nice young men who wasted no time getting to their work. The carpet is light-colored and the edges near the baseboards were grayish as our sweepers have never been able to do a good job there. I must say that I was very pleasantly surprised to see how well this tough to get at area came out, along with the high traffic areas. I'm embarrassed to say how old our carpet is but I must say that it now looks incredible, even for it's age. Completely satisfied and absolutely recommend! T & J
