Description of Work: Replaced rotted wood on chimney, covered chimney with siding and made minor roof repairs. Good job, would recommend them and use them again.

Description of Work: Don from Renaissance Roofing came out to inspect my roof from the exterior as well as from the attic. He gave me a written summary of the condition of my roof, flashings, gutters and visual ventilation. While inspecting the roof, he hammered down some nails that had popped up and caulked some exposed nail heads so they would not rust. It was also noted that flashing around one of the vent pipes was worn and needed replacing. I had some leakage issues in the area so I had Don replace the flashing which he sealed with a leak barrier and karnak at a cost of $180. It was also noted that we had poor ventilation in the attic and Don showed me a remedy for the problem.

Description of Work: Contacted provider for a quote...someone called me on my home number and my cell number on 3/2/15. Called them back on 3/3/15 and left a message with a gentleman that I wished to speak with the women who returned my call. 2 days later and have not heard back. I guess they are too busy to give me a call. Will move on to other Angies List recommended roofers.

Description of Work: Had a leak on the top of the chimney. Renaissance came over to quote it but ended up fixing it on the spot.

Description of Work: I contacted Renaissance to request a quote for a new roof which would require replacing the wood supporting the shingles on the front of the house, adding ventilation on the back of the house, and possibly adding insulation in the attic. The salesman arrived as scheduled and reviewed my concerns with me. After we completed our conversation he inspected the house and returned to make his proposal. He then proceeded to discuss shingle options, roofing materials, and ventilation options for the back of the house. He also suggested adding additional ventilation in the front of the house where he showed me that existing ventilation was improperly installed. Since I was going to add insulation after the roof was replaced, he also recommended installing the baffles which would be required. |The presentation was very cordial with no pressure to make a decision immediately. | |My wife and I compared the Renaissance proposal with several others. Most quotes were in the same price range, each offering slightly different solutions to our request. We finally determined that Renaissance would be our supplier based on the thoroughness of the proposal, the overwhelming number of positive reviews on Angie's list, the fact that their installers were employees (not contract workers), and the warranties offered. We opted to add the insulation ourselves. | |We had to wait several weeks for the installation. They were very busy due to the late summer storms. Renaissance gave us regular updates and eventually scheduled the work to be done in early December. | |The crew arrived as scheduled. The gentleman in charge reviewed the details of what was to be done with my wife and me to verify that they were there to do what we expected. The workers either moved or covered everything around the house to protect it from incidental debris. Our salesman arrived late morning to make sure everything was going as planned and walked me around the house to explain anything I did not understand. Upon completion of work the gentleman in charge also walked me through the work to make sure the work was completed to my satisfaction. All the work was performed and the area was completely cleaned up. I have yet to find any debris around the house, not one nail. | |During the following weeks we received a thank you note and a warranty document from Renaissance, a warranty document from the shingle supplier ( GAF ), and a document from the city stating the work met code requirements. Description of Work: I got an estimate from them for a roof replacement. I wound up using a different company, but this company was very good as well. I used the other company because I decided to replace windows and siding as well. I did not get a quote for the remainder of the work from Renaissance, but if I was only doing the roof, I would have had them do it.

Description of Work: Very thorough in explaining the work to be done. Also provided options for me to consider which I appreciated. The entire roof was completed in one day and when I called with a concern, they were very responsive. I've already recommended them to 2 of my coworkers.

Description of Work: Roofers arrived timely, tore off old roof without damage to foundation plantings or windows, installed new roof with additional vents, enlarged soffits, and cleaned up thoroughly. Entire job took one day plus a little time on second day for final cleanup. Foreman kept us updated as problems were incurred and provided accurate costs for needed additional work. Salesman was knowledgeable of product and process and explained everything to our complete satisfaction.
