Met with Don after receiving two other estimates. They were in the same ball park of price with additions, inclusions, etc. But what stuck out about Don was his statement that he would treat my house like he was doing the work on his own house. He was not forceful in his prensentation and covered everything in detail. After a 24 hour notice the crew arrived and started work promtly, planking and covering my new drive way and tarping alongside house and over plants and bushes. It seemed like they all new their jobs and went about them professionily. At the end of the day, 7:30pm, they had removed the tarps and cleaned up, even though they had not quite finished, a small crew came back the next morning and finished in 4 hours. I did have to go out and pick up small pieces of material left behind [my only complaint]. Overall their work was excellant and would recommend them to anyone needing a roof replaced.

Don came out and helped me problem solve the source of the water. He looked at my roof and although it will need to be replaced in a few years, he didn't see a source of the water. He dragged my hose on the deck and we tested the water flow related to the doors. We figured out that these were Pella problems, and not related to my roof or bricks. He also pointed out to me that my gutters and flashing were not aligned correctly and recommended someone who did that kind of thing. I had that fixed by the other company same day in the afternoon. Pella has since fixed the leaks related to their product (although it took until January 4th of 2010 to get this fixed. I tried to pay Don for the problem solving but he said he was just happy to help me and to make sure people get good service. I will remember that when I go to replace my roof in 2-3 years. He gave me a general idea of the cost to do my roof so I could budget for it when it needs to be replaced. I was married to a very talented contractor and we owned our own company for years. I have dealt with a number of contractors. I have to say, if you impress me, that's a big deal! I will use Don and recommend him for sure because it is few and far between for companies to be so customer focused.

I called them on a Saturday, which turned out to be a very good thing because the next week we got a very big snow storm. They said the owner would come out that day or the next day. I chose to have him come on Saturday and he was out within an hour. He came to assess the situation on the roof before the snow storm hit. I went with them because they were so responsive and I felt I would be in good hands with them. The following week, after the snow storm my son came out and removed all of the snow from the roof (which the service provider later told me he would have done) and then the next day he came out. He had the permits and was ready to do the work the next day. They started the work on March 3rd, they re-roofed the whole back of my home. I will definitely be calling them to repair the rest of the roof for me. Without fully understanding my situation, they were fantastic and prompt to come out and help me. The owner of the company was very good at explaining everthing. He was very clear in his explanations, I really appreciated all of his help. I will use them again, and I have recommended them to my son.

Getting a new roof through this company was the best decision we have made in home improvement so far. The owner came out to talk with us about our needs and was the ONLY one who took the time to investigate our attic to identify issues that might lead to problems with the roof later on, if not corrected. The owner was at the work site the day of the job, and even did some of the work himself. His crew was the most professional, courteous and careful group of workers we have ever dealt with (no subcontractors). We have extensive gardens around our house, and everything was carefully covered - either with a tarp or plywood "tee-pee" to prevent damage. The clean-up was so thorough, you never would have known that they had spent the day ripping off and old roof and installing a new one. If we ever move to another house needing a new roof, this will be the company we call. From start to finish we were treated with respect, and the professionalism coupled with first class workmanship makes Renaissance Roofing a fantastic company to use. Highly recommended!

They did a quote for him before they did the work. They provided an excellent service and he was very pleased with their work. They came out on time schedule-wise and got the job done on time. There were no issues quality-wise.

Don, the owner, inspected my roof and showed me with cellphone photos the areas of concern. He presented me with a range of options for shingles and underlayment. Protection for my home and landscaping was extraordinary (and completely effective). Clean-up was complete, including use of a magnetic roller to find any loose nails. The owner supervised the installation, which was complete in less than one day.

I had three estimates to have my roof replaced. The owner, Don DePriest, came to my house and spent about a half hour in my attic and up on the roof examing the existing situation. He then met with me and talked about all of the different options I had. There was no hard sell, he was willing to talk about the pluses and minuses of different options, with an educational bent (which was helpful, since I know NOTHING) about roofs. He left me with the informational document (a whole folder of educational articles in addition to brochures), with exact pricing details, and gave me time to make my decision on what parts I would do. I didn't decide to go with the "cadillac" version. Schedulling roofing is understadably sketchy - since the schedule is highly weather dependant. We had a series of rainy days, which pushed back the timeframe on my job, but they were in constant contact with me as the schedule evolved. On the day of installation, the team arrived right on time and swarmed the house. They seemed VERY well supervised; everyone was hustling - no lallygagging around. They completed the entire job in a little more than a 1/2 day (my house is small with a simple roofline) including adding the insulation in my attic. After finishing the attic they very carefully cleaned my yard to pickup any debris - in fact they raked all of the leaves from under my bushes, leaving it looking SIGNIFICANTLY better than they found it! I would not hesitate using Renessaince Roofing again - they were fantastic.

I spent $8500 for the job. As compared to the companies I had contacted, I had a lot of confidence in Renaissance Roofing. I knew that they would do a good job. They were very thorough in their estimates and identifying the work that needed to be done. I wanted to use higher quality shingles. They called me back. They had a feeling that the production of that particular brand of shingles would be discontinued by the manufacturer. So, they discouraged me for wanting that product. It was very honest. They were the most expensive of all the companies, but they did an excellent job. They were worth the price. I don?t have to get my roof replaced soon, unlike with the work done by the other companies. I?ll definitely use them again, if required.

Last winter, Renaissance Roofing (RR) came out on short notice to fulfill a request to shovel off our roof. We had a severe ice dam problem, with some evidence of water leaking underneath the shingles. Someone from RR was there within a few hours to shovel snow off the roof. Don DePriest, the owner of RR, also came out to give us an analysis of our roof, as well as an estimate. Starting in August of this year, we started planning everything we wanted done with respect to roofing, insulation, and proper venting of bathroom and kitchen fans. RR was more than happy to provide us with detailed estimates, even as our plans changed, and they were comfortable and familiar with all the items we requested. They were easy to get a hold of, and responded promptly to phone messages we left for them; In finalizing the work date, Karen DePriest was a joy to work with. She accommodated the scheduling problems we were experiencing with patience and understanding. They demanded no payment up front, which increased our confidence that all the good things we'd heard about RR were true. On the day of the job, the large RR team arrived at 7:30 and started working promptly. They ensured our landscaping was protected, as well as doors and windows. They even took care to insure that a neighbor's tree was not damaged as they backed their dump truck into our driveway. Everyone on the team worked quickly and professionally. The site supervisor, Sean Young, managed his team well, responded to every question we had, and fulfilled every request with a positive attitude. I even climbed the roof and into the attic with them to verify certain aspects of the work; they had absolutely no problem with that. Everyone on the team was polite and hardworking. They seemed genuinely interested in helping me achieve our goals for the project. When they were finished, they spent a significant amount of time cleaning up from their work. Nails, old shingle pieces, other builder materials, were all removed from the landscaping. The roof on the house and the detached garage look great. Hard to believe they got it all done in one work day. Thanks, Renaissance!

I have a terrible roof. Before I bought the house, Kearns put a layer of shingles down and did a terrible job (overpressure on the nailer, so the shingles are loose). I've had to have six or seven repairs over the years. Many times the repairs are minor, so getting a quality roofer out is not easy. Renaissance really impressed me. I called and left a message, they got back to me within the hour, and I had an appointment setup the same day. On the appointment day they showed up, took care of the work, and invoiced us. They of course left some materials for when we inevitably replace the roof, but I was really pleased with getting this taken care of so quickly and easily, and will definitely put them on my short list to get estimates from when I do the whole roof.

Renaissance did an outstanding job. At 7:30 am about 10 people arrived. The job was 99% finished at 7:00 pm. It was 100% finished before noon by on person who came with the final square of shingles. They removed all the trash and the roof and house, outside and inside, now look very good They were far superior to the two previous roofers that we dealt with in our 41 year in this house. If all USA companies worked as well as Don De Priest's Renaissance, the USA might not be in its present sad financial state.

I had a wonderful experience with them. They did a very nice job. They cleaned up well and left the place looking like it was, but with a new roof.

They arrived early on the first day to begin work by 8:00. All bushes, shrubs, air conditioning units, outdoor furniture was covered or moved out of the way. There was a large crew but they did their work diligently and didn't fool around. The job took only 2 days and before they left all the mess was cleaned up. All old shingle bits were removed from the landscaping and they walked the whole yard 2 or 3 times with a magnet to make sure they picked up all stray nails. They even swept the deck and patio.

The discussion about the job was very professional and everyone who came out to do the job was very professional. They set up an appointment for the work and they were right in the ballpark of when they said that they would be out. I was very happy with the job. They made me a fair offer for the work. I would recommend them to others.

It was very good and we don't have any complaints. They were very quick and we had no problems. They did the roof the day they said they were going to and we were happy with the job. We were able to use a coupon. I have recommended them to some of my friends and we would use them again.

They did the job when they said they would and they did it in one day. They did a good job as far as I can tell. I didn't price shop. We liked the guy so well, we just went with them. I could have probably gotten it cheaper. I would absolutely use them again.

The workers did a great job and were very thorough as well. The owner was present for most of the job until it was completed. The price I paid was well worth it. Everything was very high quality.

This was the best experience that we have ever had with a building contractor, bar none. The excellent experience started when he came over to give us an estimate. He insisted upon doing a very thorough inspection of the roof and the attic. When he was up there he took multiple photos of portions of our roof and attic with a digicam so that he could show them to us as he explained what we needed. We had some real issues in our attic with poor ventilation and inadequate insulation that contributed to some of the problems with our roof. He carefully explained what had to be done in the attic to prevent further problems with the roof once it was replaced. He then recommended an excellent attic contractor who did equally excellent work at a fair price. He carefully explained every aspect of what he proposed to do if he replaced our roof. Along the way he showed us photographs of other roofs he has replaced or repaired because of shoddy workmanship of other companies. He showed us ways some companies skimp on things in order to bid a lower price or increase profits, and then showed us photographs of what happened to those roofs down the road. He explained exactly how he would do every part of the job and why he would use each particular material versus a cheaper alternative. HIs written estimate was very detailed and listed exactly what he planned to do, what materials he would use, and what it would cost if more material was needed. He is definitely a contractor who errs on the side of caution in his decision making. Whenever there is a choice between doing something an easier way or doing it in a way that will last longer, he chooses the latter. He is a "Master Elite" roofing contractor, an designation that is only given to the top 1%, and that allows him to offer better warranties. His estimate presentation was the most professional that we have ever seen, and I come from a family of contractors! When the day came to do the job, his crew showed up on time, carefully protected our yard, did an excellent job, cleaned up everything and finished when they said they would. I noticed a couple of very small issues and Don came out, went over things with me and corrected them right away. He doesn't collect any deposit before the work his done. You don't pay him a dime until you are satisfied with the job. In addition, I asked Don to recommend a painter, an attic contractor, and a chimney repairman as our house needed all of those things attended to. Every one of the contractors that he suggested were just like Don--they all were very professional, had very fair bids, and did excellent work. Moreover, Don coordinated his schedule with the painters so that we didn't have to worry about it. Basically, I cannot imagine a contractor who could be any more professional, competent, responsive, or fairly priced than Don is at Renaissance Roofing. And I have very high expectations of contractors. This guy is the real deal.

We were very satisfied with the job done by Renaissance Roofing. When we had problems with the roof a year ago, they helped us find a roof for a reasonable price. They cleaned up well after themselves; they didn?t leave a single nail behind.

They did a very good job. They were professional, responsive and punctual. Their pricing was reasonable as well. The quality of their work was good and I was satisfied with their service.

I found them on Angies list. They cared about doing a good job. They were careful about not damaging anything in my house. Their owner was much more meticulous about things than I am so I felt I was in good hands. the price was fair.

I quoted four companies. Renaissance was one of two whose representatives described what they would do in clear terms, and who didn't lay a lot of BS on me that had no actual application to my specific roof. I selected Renaissance because they were highly rated on Angie's List. That they were about $500 cheaper than the other non-BS company was a nice bonus. Communication was excellent. Job was delayed 2 days due to rain holding up previous jobs, and they notified me 3 days in advance. They started the day per the new schedule. The job was predicted for 2 days, but on the second day we got rain, so they had to stop. On day three, half the crew went to the next job and half came to finish mine. I think this was a good way to balance their commitment to another customer with getting my job done. The owner, Don, was on-site about two hours each day. He has an experienced crew and excellent foreman who answered all my questions. Both Renaissance and the other non-BS company assessed my current soffit vent capacity and recommended additional venting. The other two companies did not. Renaissance offered me the chance to paint the new vent grilles before they were installed (to save me their labor cost) which I accepted. The only thing I could ask for to be done bettter would be clean up. I have found about 10 nails on the ground around the house, including 3 in the driveway cracks, and about 20 small pieces of shingle. I have had two roof jobs in my homeowner life, and Renaissance's clean up was better than to other one, so I can't really seriously fault them in this catagory.

They were very professional. They were very neat. They explained everything. I got better a roof for the price than other bids I received. They were very accomodating and easy to work with.

They were prompt, cleaned up everything, and even came back ten days later to change a decorative feature I had asked for and then decided I did not like. One of the best experiences with a contractor I have ever had.
