the team at Renaissance Roofing was great to work with start to finish. I contacted them based on reviews via Angie's List, they provided a quote within a couple of days of the first call. They were similar in price to some of the bigger companies that advertise on TV, but since the reviews here were good and they were local to Livonia, I selected them for the job. Their schedule was a few weeks out, but changed so they worked with us to move up the date - which was great for us since we were trying to sell our house and this was a long-over due project. The staff on the phone was also courteous and professional. The on-site team was fine - I only briefly interacted with them; and the project was done in about 6-7 hours. I was informed it would have gone faster but their truck would not fit in my driveway so the clean-up of the old shingles took longer than usual. The clean-up was very thorough. The staff contacted me the next day with the invoice and we submitted for payment. Overall, a pain-free process - which I like!

He was prompt, helpful, and was able to repair the roof on the same day he gave us the estimate.

We were impressed with them and will consider using them in the future. We just decided to get the leak fixed for now, and not get the whole roof replaced.

Don looked for a leak in the sky light. Found that the sealant was cracked. He fixed it on the spot and charged me nothing. That is outstanding service and an outstanding experience for me. The total time spent was over a half an hour and he used some roofing supplies. Don obviously cared more about customer satisfaction than making a few bucks. You will not find a more honest person. That is legendary service. I will use him anytime I can and I will recommend him to every one I can. Thank you Don for caring.

The provider was just incredible. His representative Jack came out to give an estimate and showed me the various options I had on an iPad video. He checked my attic to see what vents I would need and assessed my insulation status for free. Everything was explained to me in a non-condenscending way. His workers put on a new roof and removed the cupola which was about to fall off from dry rot. His workers were very nice and kept everything very clean. After they were done they used a metal detector to make sure all of the metal was removed from my lawn. I was extremely impressed with his company's professionalism and dedication to his customers.

Very professional company. They came out months before the scheduled work to patch a leak in the roof to hold us over until they could start the actual roof replacement, and did so at no additional charge. The work crew was very professional, and did an excellent job. The level of attention to detail in the installation really gives us a high level of confidence that their work will stand up to Michigan weather for many years. Their warranty inspections will also help us keep track of how our roof is doing. I would recommend them without hesitation to anyone.

They were prompt, quiet and efficient. The head of the company came and inspected the roof after the job - we had leakage problems and he gave us advice which we are following.

At the initial consultation, Don DePriest came himself, gave clear and useful explanations of the options available and the associated costs. My wife and I had a good impression and did not feel that the company was trying to sell us anything unnecessary. The work was done in a timely fashion (just before the snow came) and everything was thorough, quick, and orderly. They cleaned up afterwards. The roofers were supposed to connect the upstairs bathroom fan to a vent, and forgot to do this, but they came right back to finish the job as soon as we pointed this out. Don made sure that we were happy. This kind of miscommunication can easily happen but the point is that Don and the company took responsibility and fixed it quickly.

Overall a great experience. The people who owned the house before us had a new roof put on. Whomever they contracted had incorrectly laid the shingles in the valleys such that water could under the shingles. This resulted is some water leaks. I contacted Renaissance Roofing Inc & Andy came out for a quote. He was able to find the exact match of shingles, so you can't tell the roof was fixed. The cost was a bit pricer than I expected, but I'm willing to pay a little more for good quality. His crew of 4-5 guys came out & updated all 5 valleys, as well as fixed some flashing in about 5-6 hours. After they were done, they checked all around the house & clean up after themselves. Very Happy with them.

We were getting water in our family room. He identified the problem with our flashing around the vent, charged LESS than his estimate, and completed the work before the next rain storm. He is our hero!

From the beginning, I was very much impressed with this company. The owner arrived at my home on time to present an estimate. He was friendly, cordial, and not pushy. When my husband and I decided to go with Renaissance Roofing, we were not apprehensive due to our initial contact. We were promised the work would be completed in one day, if weather permits, and they fulfilled their promise. We were also told that they would make sure all nails were removed and all debris cleaned up. We were very comfortable with the work crew that was sent out. They were quiet, efficient and professional. I would definitely recommend Renaissance Roofing Inc. and will return to this company in the future.

Don (the owner) come out to give me an estimate to replace some shingles that had blown off of my roof recently. I kept the shingles, which was good as said they would be hard to match. He showed me his credentials and said since it was going to rain again soon, he would just go ahead and put them back on right then. He hopped up on the roof and nailed and tarred them back on, at no charge! I will definitely used them in the future for roofing work.

4/8/2013 The insurance company provided checks with my name and the home mortgage company. Renaissance Roofing wanted to get their money ASAP when the work is complete. Therefore, I got a loan from a bank that was recommended by Renaissance Roofing. I signed the insurance checks and sent signed checks to the home mortgage company. I also had to do other paper work to process the checks from the insurance company.

My roof was damaged due to hail. My insurance company agreed to replace the entire roof. I contacted Renaissance and Don came out to explain my options. He had the shingles I could choose from ready with him. He explained the whole procedure. They came out in December and were still able to get the job completed in one day. They cleaned up well after themselves. I will have to wait till summer to make a final judgement on the quality of the roof. As of now, I am very satisfied with the quality of work.

These guys are the best! They're quick, do an awesome job and clean up really well. They also are reasonably priced. The side of my awning came unhinged the same day they did the roof. I wasn't sure if one of their trucks had tagged it or if it was just from winds from the storms. Don said he had told the guys not to drive near the awning, and checked with the supervisor who said they hadn't brought the truck in. So it wasn't their fault, but Don still came out and fixed it and left a nice little note letting me know he'd been by. This is a fantastic company- I couldn't recommend them more highly!

I had some hail damage from a storm almost a year ago that my insurance would cover, if I got the repair done in less than a month. The owner came out to my home, did an inspection with estimates, sat down with me for almost an hour discussing options including a very cool high tech display on his iPad showing what the colors and styles would look like on my home with a picture he took that day. They were able to come out and do the install a week later, finishing in one day on a Saturday except for a hand-full of tiles the next day they had to get later since their supplier was closed. Their team was fast, efficient, and professional. They did a great job protecting the sides of the house, even covering my wife's rose bush with a tent of plywood boards. The new roof looks great. They even came back a few weeks later for additional clean-up work after the snow melted. Considering the storm of material everywhere from the old roof tear-down and the new roof install, I was really impressed. Would definitely recommend them! And the price came in about $1k less than my insurance company estimated & would cover (basic roof, 25 year shingles), for a roof that has upgraded lining and shingles with a 50 year guarantee.

From initial contact through the performance of expected tasks to final cleanup everything went smoothly and with minimum interruption to our planned activities.

A few years ago, my husband and I noticed a couple spots on our ceilings and figured that we must be developing roof leaks. Our roof was about 18 years old, so we figured we were probably going to need to replace it. I checked Angie's list and found Renaissance Roofing. The company had great reviews, so I gave them a call for an estimate to replace our roof. Within 24 hours of my call, Don DePriest, the owner, was at our home inspecting our roof. Imagine our surprise when Don came down off the roof and told us that we shouldn't put on a new roof since our current one still had a few good years on it! He explained that we just needed some caulk around a window and a new vent pipe, and the ceiling leaks would be gone. He was right. We had Don take care of both items, and there were no more leaks! At the time, we commented on Don's honesty. He could have easily sold us a whole new roof, but he was honest and only quoted us a MUCH smaller job. We knew we would have to consider Don and Renaissance when it came time to actually have the roof replaced. Fast forward a few years and a wind and hail storm, and our roof truly needed to be replaced. We did our research, got quotes from three roofing companies, and there was no question that we would go with Renaissance. Not only had Don been so honest with us in the past, but he continued to earn excellent ratings on Angie's list, he is a GAF-ELK Master Elite Contractor (be careful, not all roofers are), and he doesn't use subcontractors. He employs his own crew to insure a top quality product, and it shows. Don provided us with all of our options but never tried to up-sell us like others had. When we were uncertain about the color of shingles to select, he happily brought out large shingle samples and left them on our roof so we could see how the colors would look in the sun, shade, etc. Don and his company value their excellent reputation, and you can certainly tell by their awesome customer service. Bottom line, we now have a beautiful new roof, and we are certainly glad that we chose Renaissance to do the work!

I searched using Angie's list for highly rated roofers and narrowed down to three companies. I also had a company not on Angie's list that gave me a quote. The quote from Renaissance was one of the final two quotes and I spent a great deal of time going back and forth between the two companies, attempting to get to a similar quote so I could compare them directly. Renaissance was very helpful in responding and answering questions, as well as adjusting the quote to reflect changes. I got the best "feeling" from them, as well, and eventually decided to go with Renaissance for the job. The original date set for the job was about Dec 3, but weather affected and pushed back the start date. Prior to the job, Renaissance was in contact with me by email and phone confirming the date. They asked that the driveway be kept open and an electrical outlet be available. I left for work in the morning prior to the company arriving on site and the job was completed before I returned home. Jack from Renaissance met me at my work to pick up the final payment. The roof system I purchased is a GAF system and has what is called a "Golden Warranty," which is a warranty from the manufacturer for labor and material, for something like 50 years. The manufacturer will come out to review the installation and issue the warranty. Renaissance is one of the companies authorized by GAF for this type of installation and the ability to offer this warranty. I have not had any issues with the installation - the house was clean and I only found one small plastic strip from a shingle on my deck. Very pleased with the interaction and the speed and quality of the installation, as well as the competitiveness of the quote.

Boy, did they do a great job from beginning to end. Don Depriest, the owner, gave an outstanding presentation for the proposed job, answered all questions. We had some communication problems- they were waiting for us to call, while we were expecting a call, but it got worked out and, it was something to see his crew work!. They came real early in the A.M. and worked solidly until after dark!. Planting were protected, and stray pieces of roofing, nails etc. were found and disposed of. Over the spring and summer, we found only a couple of nails, etc. The roof now looks terrific. After the crew left, we looked at the new roof, and noticed that many shingles were curled at the edges. I thought that this was a consequence of installing in cold weather, and that they would lay flat and do their job, as the sun warmed them. This is exactly what happened. An outstanding job completed by a very professional crew!

I've had issues for the past couple years with critters prying off the soffit vent under the main roof which shares one slope with a gable over a garage. After a couple of attempts with homebrew remedies, I called around to some roofing places to see if anyone could help. The Renaissance folks were very open to helping with the issue, although it was not a typical roofing job. Don was right on time with an estimate, and completed the work thoroughly on-the-spot. Looks great, and no complaints!

Arguably the best company that we have worked with since we purchased our home. Don DePriest, the owner, went out of his way to explain everything in great detail during the estimate process. The quoted price was competitive. Roofers arrived on time on the day of the job, finished on time and cleaned up after themselves. Roof looks great.
