Precision Door came out very quickly, fixed the problem on the first trip, and everything has been working well since their visit. I especially appreciated that they responded so quickly on a weekend.

It went very well. The technician worked very hard for quite some time, and he did a great job. He also spent a lot of time explaining how to maintain and use the system. We didn't compare prices, so we can't rate that part of the service.

The quote they gave me didn't seem to be very official. It appears to just be typed on a Word document. My husband misplaced the quote they gave us, and I called them to have them resend the quote. In the meantime between July and now, I've shopped around and looked at other quotes. During this whole time, we've had to manually open and close our door. I injured my hand and had to have surgery. While recovering from my surgery, I called another company and had them come out and give me a quote on my door. This other company told me I didn't need need a new door, and he had my garage door fixed within an hour. As it turns out, the price for a new garage door Precision Door quoted me was double what the type of door actually cost. I would never use them. I would never recommend them. Since I've had my accident, I've made sure everyone knows it was because Precision Door told me I needed a new door. If they would have done their job and just fixed the door, my accident never would have happened.

I thought I was overcharged for the work performed. I called and complained and later received a $50 credit.

Estimate given same day I called. Doors installed two days later. It all went very good.

I was able to get an appointment for the day after I called about my problem. The technician, Lou, called and asked if he could arrive early, which he did by arriving 20 minutes ahead of scheduled time. He had me explain the issues and then had me observe as he operated the door and then discussed the repair options as well as cost. I authorized the repair and he was done within 45 minutes. He them showed me the repaired items, explained what he did and then showed me how to lubricate the hardware. Lou was very professional and respectful of both myself and our home. In fact, he even hand wrote a thank you note for us - I have never had a repair person of any type do that. He cleaned up thoroughly after completing the job and made sure I was satisfied and did not have any additional questions. Based on this experience I cannot recommend Precision Door Service and Lou highly enough.

Precision Door was wonderful from start to finish. Bill came out to give us an estimate for a new garage door. He was very kind and thorough with product information and wrote a complete estimate before leaving. No hard sell, but he showed that he was very interested in our business and satisfaction. The two men that installed the garage door were very professional and did a great job with the installation. I forgot to give Bill the Angie's List coupon for 10% off and they gave me the discount without a problem.

We were really impressed with Precision from the start. Bill was so friendly and great at getting back to me on the phone. It took a while for us to decide and Bill was patient and never pushy. We finally decided on a style and it was installed 2 days early (yay!) yesterday and only two business days after we got all the paperwork finished. We love how the door looks and everything was installed very nicely. I had just cleaned out our garage and figured I'd have to give it another sweep, but I did not have to. They left no mess whatsoever. We had a new opener and garage door in just over 2 hours. Thanks, Precision!

Very good service. They were prompt and they explained to me how the springs could last a long time so I would not have to call them back. They also told me what to do to keep the springs for a long time.

They arrived on time, completed the installation timely and cleaned up afterward.

On Friday my garage door opener was not working . Called Precision around 11 am. A service man came out around 3 pm and said that he could repair the opener. Then he noticed I had a broken spring, which probably caused the opener to fail. He gave me options on replacing the spring and the repairing the opener. Then we noticed that the garage door itself had tear in one of the panels, which was caused by the broken spring when the door came down. He again gave me repair options, never pushing me in any direction. I decided that I would have the whole system replaced. The service was scheduled to occur within about 2 days, and the team came out with the new parts exactly as scheduled. The installer was done in about 2.5 hrs. He did an outstanding job, from start to finish. Very Happy with the overall experience.

Everything went well. They arrived promptly, did the job, and left. I would advise getting multiple quotes however.

Able to get quick service on a Saturday (sameday) even early in the morning! Telephone representative and repair person were excellent to deal with from start to finish. Would recommend.

It was fine. Everything went well. It took a day, but he had to remove the old door and install the new one. It went well. I was happy with it and happy to have a working garage door again.

Called late at night for service not sure if any one could come at night. He came and did the job. He was polite, professional, and informative on how and when to do general maintenance.

Their estimate was higher then another one I received. They wanted to charge me for work that didn’t need to be done. It sounds like to me a hard sell.

Called Precision Door Detroit (on Farmington Road) on Monday afternoon. Requested Wednesday afternoon appointment, and got it. The serviceman called late morning on Wednesday to see if I was available before scheduled time, and I was, so he arrived within 15 minutes. I called because the cables were frayed and stretching, but he also pointed out that that several bearings were shot (and he was right -- I just hadn't noticed before) and that the springs were under-sized (and he was right about that, too -- the door had been REALLY hard to open before that). He left it completely up to me, but I agreed that the entire overhaul was warranted. He completed the work in a couple of hours with parts he had in his truck. While $525 seems like a lot of money, I probably got a fair deal, considering the parts, hard work, and experience that Precision Door provided. The door opens easily and smoothly now.

THEY DID A GOOD JOB. THEY HAD A VERY AGGRESSIVE SALESPERSON WHO WAS TRYING TO SELL US THINGS THAT WE DID NOT NEED. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THEIR WORK. THEY OVERCHARGED ME SO I WON'T USE THEM AGAIN.

THE REASON WHY I CHOSE THEM WAS, BECAUSE THEY GAVE ME THE CHEAPEST BID. THEY STARTED RIGHT WHEN WE AGREED FOR THEM TO START. THEY FINISHED THEM AHEAD OF SCHEDULE.
