Went well, they were very thorough. However, shortly after their visit, our door began to make a snapping noise when closing. Either during or after closing. I called and asked them about this and was told this was normal and could be due to the cold. I don't agree with this because it didn't do it before they came out

They seemed to be able to do everything right. The technician was knowledgable.They did a good job.

Russ came from Precision Door even earlier than they promised. My power door operator was having trouble sometimes opening the door. He quickly calculated that the torsion springs ( that were installed by another company ) were undersized for the weight of the door. They did not counterbalance the door. If the door was disconnected from the opener it just fell to the ground. He replaced the springs with stronger ones and now the door is perfectly counterbalanced. It can be opened and closed now with little effort. He readjusted the opener settings and now it works perfectly every time. Russ answered every question I had patiently. He also explained how to properly maintain the door and how the springs should work in detail. He set a great example for their company. I highly recommend their work.

From start to finish Precision Door did a great job. Personable and professional employees and right on time performance impressed me. Stefan arrived with a fully stocked truck and quickly diagnosed my erratic garage door as having a faulty logic board. The repair was made at a reasonable price and all remotes reprogrammed. This is my second experience with Precision and both times the customer service and technician was outstanding!

The service performed on my garage door was completed successfully. The door now raises and lowers quietly, easily and smoothly. I mistakenly thought that all maintenance would be performed for the promotional fee of about $140. I was wrong. To replace the metal wheels with nylon ones, it cost me another $200. While that work was being performed, a cable broke, so I had them replace both cables. The whole bill was over $500, so it didn't feel like a good deal at all. I needed the work performed, but I felt as if I'd been taken for a ride and will now be more cautious about promotional deals from this and other companies.

Russ was punctual. His very knowledgeable and explained both the repairs and the maintenance. He showed me how to maintain my garage door in good shape. Excellent service!

Garage door opener was malfunctioning to the point it wouldn't go down when pushing the button to close the door. Checked Angie's List for service companies to work on the opener and found Precision Doors. Contacted them on a Saturday morning, explained what was happening to the door and the customer service rep was great. She had me check the door sensors for lights and there weren't any and there should have been lights on. That gave us an idea what was possibly wrong. She arranged for a repairman to come the next morning between 9:00-11:00 am (Sunday) as they were fully booked for Saturday, the same day I called. I didn't even expect to get repairs the same day so Sunday was great with us. She was even apologizing that she was so booked for Sat. and was unable to have someone out that day! Heck, we were happy with Sunday! Once the appointment was scheduled, we received an email confirming our appointment, giving detailed info on the appointment and the serviceman who would be coming. The email even included a bio on the repairman, what he would be driving and wearing! On Sunday morning, James called to say he was running a bit early and wanted to know if he could come a bit earlier than scheduled. Of course we said yes! James arrived at exactly the time he said, discussed the problem, fixed it in no time and was on his way. He was extremely professional, thorough, neat and clean and very friendly. He never gave the impression he was rushed or hurried through the job and he made us feel we were the only job he had to do today...like he had all the time in the world to take care of our opener issue. James was awesome! While James was there we asked about new opener options and he explained them in detail. We didn't need a new opener at the moment but we know what our new opener will be and where we will buy it when the time comes......Precision Door! Additionally, he mentioned an option for a guard on our current opener that would prevent the door from being opened by thieves should they gain access to the garage, which apparently has become a problem in recent years. We also had James install that guard as a preventive measure. The more security, the better! We can get in and out, but the thieves would have a problem. Bottom line....Precision Door is great and we will be hiring them for other garage door opener issues should they occur.

The tech was about 2 hours early (called me first). He was very speedy and knowledgeable about his work. Gave me good info about maintaining the door. Did a great job!

Tech arrived timely. Did the work timely. However, did not do all the work completely. Part of coupon service was to lubricate door/hinges. I had to ask for that to be done. I shouldn't have needed to ask for a service that was already included.

Went very well. Two guys were professional and knowledgeable. work was done in good time.

The technician was very knowledgeable and professional and worked quickly. The office mananger was very friendly. We had some back and forth re: the price for the additional work and got a 20% discount overall. This was less of a discount that the "Big Deal" but is probably fair. We would use this company again.

Very thorough assessment of what needed to be done to replace my older garage door opener, which had stopped working, as well as the door itself. Work was scheduled within a few days, and I did not have to take a day off from work to be there while they did the work. Everything was cleaned up when they finished, and a note with all paperwork left for me when I arrived home. I absolutely could not ask for a better experience, from start to finish, and would not hesitate to recommend them to others.

Had garage door repaired when one spring broke. Repairman came to the house, recommended replacement of the rollers and the door opener as the connector was broken and no longer available. Excellent installation, the door has worked great since.

The service was outstanding from Angie's deal ad to company website to prompt call to schedule service. Technicians (2) dressed in co. uniforms, badges, and truck. Explained well. Made recommendations to extend life of garage door opener and cost containment. I highly recommend Precision Door!

I purchased the Angie's list deal for maintenance and roller change. The repairman also "sold" me some other items which I wasn't expecting. He stated more than once that if he had to come back out it would cost me even more. I felt vulnerable. Being that I am not an expert at garage door maintenance or repair I told him to go ahead with it. The additional cost was totally unexpected and will set me back a bit. Just hoping this wasn't a way to "sell" more than the original Angie's list deal. I told him my situation but it seemed to go unnoticed. This was my first experience using Angie's list. This company performed a great job...I just really wonder if I needed the extras. As stated previously I felt vulnerable at the comment that it would "cost me more" if he had to come back again. I would recommend this company especially to those who can afford the additional billing. Repairman left not a trace of old parts so I don't know if they needed replacing or not. I had to commit first before work was accessed.

The worker called when he was 5 minutes away, showed up and completed his work in about 45 minute. He then showed me everything that he did, explained the benefits of what had been done, and then left.

Stefan called to verify the appointment and was promptly on time for the appointment. He asked me to explain any issues I might be having with our two (2) garage doors (attached garage and out building), and then he walked me through the process. Upon completion of his work he then showed me all that he had done with doors and how I could maintain the doors until the need for my next service call. He made the recommendation that we replace the springs on the two (2) doors, due to the age of the doors. Stefan was very professional throughout and completed the work in quick, but completed, time. I would highly recommend Precision Overhead Garage Door Service to everyone!

11/19/2012 Update: As an update to my review below, regarding the recommendation by the service person to replace my springs. After doing some research online, it appears the normal lifespan of garage door springs is 10,000 cycles. So based on an average use of 5 times a day, my springs are past their lifespan. Unfortunately the service person did not explain it to me in this way; he pointed to the sway in the springs as an indicator of wear, which I took as a gimmic to sell me new springs. As it turns out, I probably do need new springs. As a consumer, I like to have the facts so I can make an informed decision; pointing to the springs and stating they were worn was not sufficient information - if they had provided a chart showing the normal lifespan of the springs, that would have been more helpful. I would still do additional research to confirm the information, but I would have felt better about what I was being told. I have left the overall grade as a "C" since they did not complete all the services I signed up for as part of the promotional offer. (original feedback:) The 2 gentleman that came out to the house were very polite. They started out asking me how old the door was (new build in 2003) and how often I use the door per day. They immediately pointed out some potential issues with the springs, etc. They replaced the rollers and cables per the offer. They did not lubricate the hinges or the rail as called out in the offer - as a matter of fact, the gentleman instructed me to lubricate all hinges at least 4 times a year - good advice, but they did not do the service I paid for. The gentleman was also telling me the springs were worn - could possibly snap within a couple weeks to 6 months - difficult to predict he said. I'll need to do some research on this to determine whether they should actually be worn. To my knowledge they did not complete adjustment of the spring tension as called out in the offer either - it was not noted on their invoice. They tried to sell me another $605 worth of work on the door while they were here (replace basically the compete roller mechanism, or I could replace just the springs for $300 something - I do not recall the specific price). It was not a hard sell, as I told them I would pass at this time, and they did not push it further. In the end, I felt they were trying to sell me services and replacement parts I did not need. And they definitely did not complete the services as called out in their offer. I did lubricate the hinges, etc myself after they left, and it did help. Again, I will need to do further research on whether the springs should actually be worn at this point - I should know for sure when they snap I guess.

I was very disappointed in Precision. I feel that this big deal was just a ploy to come out and convince me that I need to purchase a very overpriced new door from them. I will not use the company and would not recommend them to anyone.

After purchasing online through Angies List, I called them to schedule an appointment and was able to get one for the following day. Everything went according to plan. Now my garage door runs much smoother and quieter.

The technician called to say he would be at my house at 9:30 a.m. and thats exactly when he arrived. He was polite, professional and I would not hesitate to call the company again. The work performed was clean and neat and looks exactly like it should.

I had called a few companies, and they all wanted to replace the garage door. Thankfully, I contacted Precision which said it could repair the door instead of replacing it. This saved me quite a bit of money which I appreciated.

Everything was great, and I can't complain. I have used Precision Door in the past, and they have always been very responsive, very knowledgeable, and do excellent work.

I found the receptionist and the installer to be very professional. All of my questions were answered, I am satisfied with the installation, and I am happy with the price.
