Description of Work: I used a coupon to have the rollers on my garage door replaced. The door was very old and heavy every time I had to open it. The replacement of rollers not only made the door more manageable to pull it up, it stayed up where it was supposed to stay on the tracks. The quality of work was excellent and the tech had completed the job sooner than I expected. He also suggested checking the the large spring that pulled the door up. Since no work had been done on the door in over 30 years, I said to go ahead and replace the spring as well. (I also would save money on travel, if I had to have him come out again to replace the spring when it broke). When he took the old spring down, it showed wear on one side, that was almost cut through. It would have been within a few months, that the spring would have stopped working and need to be replaced. I am very satisfied with this company and their knowledgeable staff. I definitely would use them again!

Description of Work: Precision Door technician was very knowledgeable regarding the work that had to be done.(The garage door came down on my car which unabled the door to operate properly) It had damaged the door as well as the springs and other operating parts. He replaced the springs as well as the bar which controlled the door. He also strationed the door. He also gave me information on how to oil and care for the springs and operating parts. I was very pleased with his promptness,professionalism and knowledge of his job. aaai would use this company again if necessary. Thank You Mrs. Joyce Kuhn

Description of Work: I had three high quality garage doors with three crummy old garage door openers. One of the openers went kaput almost taking one of the expensive doors with it. I called Precision based on Angie's List and no other references. I have to say they are one of the best companies I have ever dealt with - period. Prompt phone answering and knowledgable hard working people - at least based on the guy they sent over to my house. I was so impressed with the guy that I went with his recommendation to put a new system on all three doors. He professionally installed a new generation Liftmaster system with internet control from my smartphone. He and another fellow worked hard installing the doors on one of the hottest summer days of the year and I could not be happier with the product and their work. Bottom line - I just really feel good recommending this company.

Description of Work: The response was fast and the work was done quickly. The people involved knew their business and all went well. Defiantly would use them again and recommend them to others.

Description of Work: The first technician who came out, Brian W, did not perform the job correctly. Although he replaced the springs, cable and rollers, he failed to adjust the railings so the whole door would shake badly with metal rubbing against metal. As a result, the door began to shake back and forth badly when opening and closing it and in many cases the door would reverse itself.. Before the work was done, my wife explained to Brian W that we wanted the door fixed at the lowest cost possible because we were moving. Brian W told her it would be $380 to fix the problem (cable and main spring that broke) but that would include no warranty. She agreed to it but he later came back to her while doing the job and said we really need to replace what caused the problem in the first place, replace the rollers but that would bring the total to $500 but at that level, there would be a 5 year warranty. My wife told me that she felt manipulated, knew nothing about garage doors but agreed to it. To make matters worse, I had to call back on 6/22 to request a no charge service call on 6/23. However, after waiting for nearly two hours based on the 1 to 3 pm time slot they gave me, I received a call from the Precision Door office saying that the technician would not be able to come until a couple of hours later. They also switch the technician for the 2nd service call from Brian W to a man named Lou. I believe they did this because i told the individual on the phone how upset I was with the services performed by Brian and the charges and that my garage door was still not fixed. When Lou came out, I found him to be a very affable person who was also competent and fixed the door. Also, check prices. This seemed high to me but it may be on norm with others. This was my first experience with Angie's List and not a good one! I wonder what value Angie's list brings when this is what I get for my membership.
