Modernistic

Modernistic provided us with the convenience to schedule on-line and they in turned called to confirm the date and time with an estimated time of the crews arrival. On the day of the service, the crew called me to let me know they would arrive within an hour. They arrived and were very polite and professional. They both came in with their shoes covered and respected our home as they pulled the hoses through the house. They reviewed the services they were providing and asked me if I wanted to add any other service they offer. After they completed the carpet cleaning they walked me through the rooms to make sure I was satisfied with their work. They reviewed the invoice and we completed the transaction very quickly. They did a great job and I have been a return customer with Modernistic for a few years. A+

They were incredible. Very conscientious of the flooring in the house, very clean. He was quick, pleasant, and did a wonderful job.

Calling was easy and the carpet cleaners were professional and timely. Unfortunately, I was not pleased with the overall carpet cleaning. In fact, there was a damp, musty odor in the office after cleaning. I think it is more of a product and equipment issue. I've had carpets cleaned in the past, but this time, it really didn't feel like my carpets were clean. I also think maybe too much water is used, leaving carpets and the pads underneath wet. When drying this can be a problem.

They were very thorough, and I was very happy with them. They saved me a lot of money.

Everything was great, as we are past customers. The Tech's called our home when they were on their way. From start to finish, everything was done in 40 minutes. The carpets looked wonderful, and the upholstery in my car looked brand new. We wouldn't use any other company.

Their pricing was reasonable. My wife was the one who was there when they showed up. She said that they were thorough in explaining what they were doing. They did what they came out to do and showed her how dirty the vents were and everything. She was happy with the job that they did. Overall, I think I was pretty happy. We think that we had a dead mouse in the duct because the home was smelling and so after that, it started to improve so we were happy. They came when they said. They were able to get us scheduled really quick.

Meticulous, professional, customer oriented, great communication and obvious pride in his work. I requested extra business cards to pass out to friends and neighbors, I was that pleased and impressed. There is no extra charge for travel within their service area and their service area covers more than a few cities. Absolutely recommended.

I didn't think they took enough time and they didn't really move stuff around and I just didn't think they were thorough. The price was not followed; they said its $99 for the whole house, but when they got there the price went up. I suggest that they move the furniture more, and clean thoroughly.

Update: After my initial review a member of the Modernistic team contacted me to find out more information about my carpet issues and offered to have another team go to my house and attempt to clean the trouble spots free of charge. She scheduled the appointment at the earliest and most convenient time for me. The new team showed up at my house within the allocated time frame, asked to see the trouble spots, explained what they were going to do to clean them up and went to work. After about 40 minutes, the black edges on my carpet were completely gone (these are the same black edges that the first technician said they could not remove). The technician explained that he used spot removers and hand vacuum to scrub and reach the trouble spots. I was very impressed and glad they came back to complete the job to my satisfaction. Alex The reason I am not giving Modernistic an A in Quality is because there were several spots that their cleaning methods could not properly clean. Also, one of my rooms had a very dirty edge (where the carpet meets the wall) and the technician told me they tried but could not get the dirt off. So, after the carpets dried out, I took my off the shelf spot remover liquid that I bought from Costco, applied to the dirt spots and the edge of the carpet, and then used my home Bissell steam vacuum and was able to remove most of the spots (a couple remained but very faint color now) and the dirt from the edge of my carpet is mostly gone, with the exception of some parts that my Bissell vacuum could not reach. I guess my Bissell steam vacuum and my Costco spot remover are more powerful than their expensive and fancy vacuums. However, the technicians were very friendly, came on time and were hard workers. My initial call to Modernistic offered a glimpse into a professionally customer-centric experience. The estimate over the phone was relatively accurate as the work would include full duct cleaning at the heating source and at each outlet. Also to be cleaned were all the carpets in my home and one medium-sized area rug. The employees (both teams) who showed at my home called beforehand to let me know they were on their way ( I missed the carpet cleaning team's call between appointments when I ran out for lunch and errands and they were very understanding when I apologized that my phone didn't register a missed call as I talked to them to learn they were waiting at my residence after they called a second time ) and, once they showed, they treated my home with respect and professional care as they wore booties and were sure to cover the corners of my walls with gear to protect the paint from their vacuum hoses and cords. It was pretty apparent that the ducts in my "new" 18 year-old home were likely never cleaned as they showed me the temporary filter with which they worked during the cleaning and stated what I saw was merely 5% of the filth. Both teams had their work cut out for them but performed very well from start to finish. Thank you for a job very well done.

I've never seen so many air dryers in my life! They were out in less than a 1/2 hour to get going and brought ALL the equipment right away. Still working through the insurance but don't expect any issues.

They were very good. They were on time.

I like the fact that I can call them and have them come out the same day. They seemed very respectful and they moved all my furniture, which I liked. They put plastic things down on the bottom of the legs of the table because there are actually metal pieces there and if you don't put down plastic, it will actually leave a rust stain, which they taught me. I use them every spring cleaning.

They were very good. They got the stuff out that even the previous companies that I've had to clean couldn't get out.

We'd used Stanley Steemer before and were happy with them. But Modernistic's price was $10 less and the reviews on AL were equally good for both. The carpets look much better. Not every slight discoloration came out, but we didn't expect them to look exactly like new (one is 12 or 13 years old). We'll use them again.

My landlord chose this company. They came twice because they did not get the stains in the carpet from the previous tenant out the first time. Well, the stains never came out. Also, their cleaner has an extremely strong odor we had to wait outside for hours with a 6 month old in July. As well as leave all the windows open before it dissipated. I wouldn't use them again and am surprised at all the positive reviews.
