;Installation of vanity base, top, and faucets seemed to go well and leak under one sink was immediately attended to on the spot when it was noticed. Drywall alteration also seemed to go well. However, today when another workman was here for totally separate purpose, he pointed out that one of the faucets is loose and that the seal between it and the vanity top is protruding. Also, since I have not yet painted, I was assessing wall texture and noticed a palpable dip in one area where new drywall work had been done. I have not contacted Mark Dewey, primary worker about these newly-found issues but will do so today. Regarding the sharing of this eval, I leave that to your discretion since the follow-up has yet to be done. Perhaps waiting would be better so that I can share the response and outcome? Update: Today the primary worker with this company returned and efficiently repaired the issue of the loose faucet which had the gasket slightly askew and was easily repaired. He also did some more finish work on the area he had cut out to access the lighting alterations. I was in error regarding the "dip" area I noticed was not the area where this evaluation is applicable. It had apparently been there long before but was hidden behind a full wall mirror. I would very probably go to Kalamazoo Handymen Services for future needs of a variety of work types.

I have had Mark here a couple of times. First was to replace lighting and ceiling fans and second was a couple of hours of smaller projects. Mark is easy to reach by email and that is how we scheduled our appointment. Mark was very willing to complete the smaller projects which not all handymen are interested in and I am grateful for that. I would definitely call Mark again for small or larger projects.

Great to work with! Reasonable, finds a practical fix, but with quality. Doesn't overcharge. Feel like you are getting quality work at a reasonable price.

My wife has had both hips replaced and had problems with height of our back steps. Mark rebuilt the steps to accommodate her. He used all the available wood and little purchased wood, to keep costs down. The steps look great and are much easier on my wife's hips.

Great work! Mark was easy to contact via e-mail. He arrived on time, performed services extremely well, cleaned up all tools and equipment, and was highly professional.

Both men were creative in their problem solving, and went the extra mile to get our issues resolved. Regarding the water heater, as Gary was installing the new one, he discovered that the old one had water piping going up into the house that had never been soldered, at all!! I feel blessed that we didn't have a blow out years ago with water spewing all over the basement!!! So he put in new piping and soldered it all securely. He then, today, dropped by to check on it all to see that it was all working properly. Great guys, I feel like I have a 'team' that I can turn to for help as I work on the many issues needing fixing in our old house...!!

After Gary N. finished the upgrade and renovation on August 2012. in Lawton Michigan. He continue working for me and my husband. He took good care of our rental property for repair.. On September 2012, i told Gary N. i am thinking of buying another rental property in Lawton Mi. i asked him to see if he is interested on doing visaul evaluation on the houses with my real estate agent. and he agreed. To make the story short, on January 2013. Gary found a house for me, with the help of his former real estate agent. He told me the house is a really good potential rental property. I saw the pictures in MLS listing so i made an offer without flying to Michigan and look at the property in person. I told Gary N. that i am putting my investment to his hands. I took his word and trust him and bought the house. On March 13. 2013 we closed escrow and my husband and i fly back to michigan on March 15. 2013 to see the house for the first time. My husband and i was very happy with our purchase of this house, with the help of our beloved handyman Gary N. On March 18, 2013 through April 4th. 2013. Gary N. helped me renovate the house. with his miracle hand. They house looks so beautiful . He is the most hardworking person, and you don't have to be around to watch him work. he work fast and accurate, and he also give you some advice to save some cost of renovation. also save you time and energy to go shopping for your home renovation. Gary continue working for us and communicate with us. since we are in San Diego Ca. I will hire Gary over and over for my future renovation. I had lots of misc. work done. Holes in drywall repaired, wall repair including moving of outlet, plaster ceiling repaired, outdoor electrical outlet installed, hole in baseboard filled; stairway and spindles repaired; hallway, bathroom, walls, stairwell and doors painted, splitting doors repaired. Always on time, very fair and honest. If he was unhappy with the outcome of a project, he redid it on his own time. I very happy with the way everything turned out and will definitely recommend Mark to friends and family and use again.

Mark responded right away to my email and showed up on time for the work. He gave an approximate estimate ahead of time and kept to the amount quoted.

I never met Mark in person. He went to my house to assess the job while I was at work which saved me time and trouble. He scheduled and completed the job the following week. After the work was completed, he provided me with before and after pictures to show what he had done. His bill also included a scan of the receipt for materials purchased for the job. I'm a little concerned that one board I thought should have been replaced was not, but maybe I'm overly cautious.

Mark & Gary showed up when they said they would - told me how much my projects would cost - updated me via e-mail continually.performed the work quickly and professionally. And if I had concerns - they listened and complied. Overall - I would gladly use Kalamazoo Handymen again and refer them to my friends and family.

I meet Mr. Gary Nickolson through Mr. Herbert Landwer and Mr. Mark Dewey, They are associated, Handyman in Kalamazoo. I called Gary on August 19th, I told him that i am renovating an old house, own by my husband since he was 20 years old, and need a lot of work and TLC. currently the tenant moved out and need to be ready to rent by September 1, I told Gary i have 1 week to renovate the house, then i am flying back to San Diego.He meet with me on August 20th at about 12:30pm. He looked around the house and said it need a lot of work. I told him my concern that i need help and want to finish the renovation by August 24, At first he is hesitant. he told me he can start the next day. but after hour and a half, i got a phone call from Gary and he said he went shopping and he is going to start working. after half hour, i already seen the progress of the house, Gary work fast and accurate.. After a nightmare of hiring a scam, fraud Handyman from Craigslist. I finally have someone who can actually do the job properly. Gary is very honest, he go shopping and give you the reciept, he is on time, he also make suggestion. I felt like i know Gary for a very long time. I have ease of stress, and he made sure from the beginning to the end that he is going finish the job on time.I am very happy and satisfied with the beautiful work that Gary had done to our house.

I will recommend Mr. Gary Nickolson to anybody who is looking for handyman. He is very trustworthy ,polite, and i don't have to babysit him. everytime i went to do my shopping, i came back to the house most of the things that i want him to do was done. he is always did what i asked him to do. he never complain or disagree with me. as a matter of fact he give me advise. i couldn't done a beautiful renovation without Mr. Gary Nickolson on my side. I contacted him. He did everything I asked and brought problems to my attention, such as split wood and a suggestion to replace the steps with treated wood. He was there everyday that it didn't rain and worked until the project was finished to my satisfaction, including small touch up paint spots. He came prepared, told me what he needed from me, such as selecting the decorative tops, and paying for the supplies that he picked up and delivered. He removed all unwanted materials at the end.
