Mark did a great job on both projects. Was on site when promised, finished on time, cleaned up and actually did more than was promised. He was very conscientious.

Mark was very busy but found a little time to come and look at the job. He suggested a much simpler repair and actually was able to do most of it right then and there. I could have just painted it as he left it because it looked pretty good to me but he wanted to come back and do some final touches so that it looked like new rather than a patch job. He came back a couple weeks later as his schedule allowed to do final touches and paint. Can't even tell it was repaired.

Mark Dewey went above the call of duty on this job. I have a mobile home and wanted a shower in the master bath. The tub is not a regular corner tub. Mark had to find the right faucet/shower set up to work on my tub as well as custom made shower rods. After he had found what we needed, I decided to have the octagon window replaced. He was very patient we me and waited for me to get this done. The FRP Board he installed looks great. He did a wonderful job cutting it around the window and it looks beautiful. He is great to work with and as I said very patient. And the price was very good. Thank you Mark, I am very much enjoying my new shower.

He was fantastic! He was very prompt, cleaned up after himself and very reasonably priced. We are actually having him do more work for us on our new home. Very professional, knowledgeable and bent over backwards in time for us to show it for sale. I would highly recommend his services to others.

This is my second time contacting Mark to do work my house. He does a great job- I would recommend highly. He gives suggestions on how to fix items around house and then proceeds to do the work thoroughly and professionally and cleans up as well. I will use his services again in the spring.

All in all, everything looks great and it has added wonderful living space to our home. Mark is more punctual and responsive than any other contractor I have worked with, and cares about doing good work.

Background: Our bathroom had a very ghetto exhaust fan installed by a previous owner. It had a pull-cord to operate and vented into the attic. Mark was very easy for me to work with. The dates for the estimate and work were both easily scheduled over email. Mark walked me through the work required during the estimate and then walked me through the completed work. He even pointed out a couple of unrelated things in the house that he thought could use attention. I would also mention that the process took some time. It was about 4 weeks out for the estimate and then another 4 weeks to get the work done. This isn't a knock on Mark, but I've seen a few reviews were people were mad that work couldn't be done asap. Just be aware that if you're going into this thinking you're going to contact him today and get the work done tomorrow, it might not work like that. I'm very happy with the completed work and would use Mark again for future handyman projects.

did nice job on wall repair and painting stairs but his helper didn't do good on painting walls-needed second coat which he said he did but he missed a lot of corners and does not look like painted ,second coat -----cost was 450. plus buy my on paint---Mark is very nice person would hire him again

Mark Dewey arrived on time, early in fact! I anticipated promptness, as I previously hired him to stain my deck. He did an excellent job of that--above and beyond, and I gave him all A's then as now. This time, I asked him to do miscellaneous tasks, such as mount a heavy cabinet on a wall; change light bulbs in a 16-foot ceiling and in other, hard-to-reach high ceilings; figure out what was wrong with a pipe draining from my water heater, buy a new pipe, and install it; and move furniture too heavy for me to move. In short, he took care of my "honey-do" list! I greatly appreciated Mark's doing such tasks, as I have no one in my life who can do them. It is heartwarming to find that Mark will do not only major tasks like staining a deck, but also those little household tasks that we can't do ourselves. Especially for seniors and women who live alone, Mark is a real find!

An outside light that did not work could not be diagnosed by another electrician we contacted through Angie's list. Mark was able to diagnose and repair the light in 20 minutes. He also installed two replacement lights. He was very professional and did a thorough job - highly recommend. We are also planning on using his services for some home repair work in the future.

Mark and his crew were excellent. Extremely helpful in offering advice. They set their schedule and worked full days. Cleaned up afterwards. The project they did for us is exactly what we envisioned. I have worked in construction management for many years and this company is excellent. We will ask them to come back in the spring and do some other things for us. Can't say enough good about Kalamazoo Handymen.

Very difficult to schedule. A friend had a similar experience. We both decided that this service appointment setting was difficult and very unprofessional.

We are very pleased with all the work Mark accomplished for us. He initially responded to a need for immediate service when we were desperate and was always punctual. He kept in constant communication via a running email and provided wise counsel. What impressed us most was his tenacity and perseverance as new problems arose. He found creative, quality solutions and executed them with perfection. We would not hesitate in the least to call on Mark in the future.

I normally do most home repairs in my house, but we were just too busy to handle some of the latest projects. So, I called several Handymen and was surprised I was having issues getting any call backs. I finally called Kalamazoo Handymen Services based on recommendations on this site and received a response within a few hours. Even though he was busy and booked out a few weeks, I was able to schedule an appointment and he maintained excellent contact through email. Mark was friendly, did not act rushed or hurried and really took time to explain when he was doing. I had him cut out a door knob and latch, install a few door knobs, replace two dead bolts, and replace a couple of storm door closers which he did with ease. He also took some time to help me think out some options for other more complex projects. Great experience and I would recommend him. I plan on having him back again to help out with some other projects.

Mark and his crew were very professional. They were diligent in doing their job.Chris was very easy to work with. I didn't even know that they were working. The work was done in a quick an efficient way. They cleaned the work are and made sure I was satisfied with what they done before they left. I would recommend this company and hire them again. Our living ceiling is 21 feet high and in the middle of it there is a ceiling fan. The cover of the wire exit in the ceiling dropped off onto the fan. I asked almost all the handymen/electrician services in the area and Mark is the only one agreed to come to take a look. It is a small project but difficult to do because of the high ceiling. No step ladder is tall enough to raise a man to touch the ceiling unless scaffolding. Mark came on time and thought of a smart way to lean the regular ladder against our declining ceiling to fix this issue. During the whole process Mark was responsive, positive and punctuate. We cannot thank him more!

The team worked 7 hours and completed the job in one day. The work went smoothly and without interruption. The guys were polite and respectful. They took pride in their effort and their finished product.

I was very happy with the results--the house looks better than I expected it could. The workers arrived right on time and really took a lot of pride in their work. They were gentle with the fragile paint on this older home, but got it clean. They put extra effort into getting the corners and crevices --even went and got a smaller brush to reach every nook and cranny. The communication before, during and after the job was top-notch, which is important to me. I would definitely use this company again.

When one of the colors I picked didn't look good on the front deck, he was unfazed and took care of getting another color and applying it a different day. He was careful with plants, and left the surroundings as if he had never been there.

We have used Mark in the past and again we were impressed by his punctuality, attention to detail, and honesty. Mark painted a small area where skylights had been replaced and damage to ceiling had occurred. Mark kept in great contact with us while we were working with another contractor to replace the skylights. Keeping us well informed of his availabilty. Mark was very flexible when the other contractor took more time than anticipated even finishing work that was supposed to be performed by someone else including sanding and kauking to make sure we were 100% happy with the final product. Excellent! Mark was very professional from start to finish. Parts of the project were within my skill set and parts were definitely not. He listened to what we wanted, gave great advice/suggestions and worked with us, at our pace, to get everything done. The quality of the actual work exceeded expectations.
