This was nothing special, just a routine furnace inspection and tune-up. We used a coupon offered through Angie's list. They actually called a day or so after I bought the coupon without me having to call them. They have always been a reliable company, and their techs really are polite and thorough.

Installation of the furnace ended up being more difficult and time consuming than anticipated. Because of a damaged gas supply lines, they had to install a new main supply line to the furnace. this ended up costing extra and took an extra day. The installers and our sales person were extremely attentive and helpful. I an very happy with the way things went and I don't see how anything could have been improved upon. I would highly recommend this company to anyone considering putting in a new furnace and or an air conditioner.

These folks know what they are doing - I have never seen a more efficient installation and a more professional looking job... the tech explained what he was going to do, did it, had me inspect and left... no fluff no sales... Great experience

Furnace went out sometime yesterday, so I called NorthWinds this morning. Josh came within an hour and a half, discovered the cause of my "no heat," fixed it, cleaned and tuned the furnace. He recommended that I think about replacing my 20+ year old furnace and using different filters than the ones I used, offering suggestions. He was very professional, courteous, and prompt. I would definitely recommend this company!

I really felt this was a guy who loved to do quality work and for whom the customer was more important than the sale.

Came later than expected. Never responded to my request for a quotation for additional work.

The first technician they sent out must have been really new and in need of new training. However, after calling the office and letting them know about my experience, they immediately sent out to other employees to double-check the work done by the first employee. Management was very interested in exactly what the issue had been, and assured me that the original employee would receive additional training. Because management was so responsive and understanding, I would use their services again. Being a boss myself, I know it is impossible to be hanging over every employee's shoulder watching them at all times and sometimes they screw up. The most important thing is how the problem is resolved, and this company resolved the matter quickly and was very courteous about it too.

Furnace check-up. Said it would cost $440 to install a $110 part that I had researched and knew what it should cost.

Our city was without electrical power due to a very severe ice storm. The tuneup was scheduled for Friday and I called to ask if they could have them come Thursday as we were without heat for the week and we now had power but that I could not get the furnace to turn on as it should have when the power came on. Not only did they acomodate us with the service call a day earlier but they also did not charge me for the "diagnostice fee" to determine why the furnace would not light.|They have my busines from now on.

Cleaned & tuned up furnace. Did a check up & carbon monoxide check. The technician was very professional & explained what he did & asked if I had any questions or concerns.

Cory was the nicest young man, very professional and respectful. He was on time and done a great job. We will use Northwinds again. I bought the special on Angie's List as a gift for my Son and Daughter-in-law. I am in real estate and I also manage property for others so it is nice to know that I can turn to Northwinds.

NorthWinds arrived on time, called to make sure I was ready for them, performed the service in a reasonable time, explained the importance of yearly inspection and the discount rate I would receive in the same service year if the furnace malfunctioned.

The deal was for a furnace inspection/maintenance where there was no known problem. The tech did a good job of both performing the services as well as explaining she what's and why's of the process.

It went find. They were on time and did a nice job.

The technician that came did a great job. I felt the price was a good deal. Scheduling was easy and they were able to accommodate to me. They were very responsive and they called ahead of time to let us know when they would be here. They were very prompt for the appointment.

Yearly furnace maintenance. Excellent, prompt service as always. Very friendly techs and office personnel. Have used for ten years and highly recommend.

Showed me how to change humidifier filter. Casey was courteous, professional and friendly. I would recommend this company to friends and family and look forward to my second Big Deal purchase for an A/C check in the spring.

The cost is $199 yearly for two services. They cover anything we need in between service calls, but we have not needed anything. They are always very knowledgeable, personable and prompt. We have been using them for years and I think their pricing is pretty comparable.

We took advantage of a $49 clean and tuneup of our furnace. He also needed to replace an "igniter". He had to reschedule twice because of the number of emergency calls, but when he came, he was very professional and did a good job. We would certainly call him again.

Sheree Ritchee, the consultant, was extremely helpful and professional when she gave me a quote for the work. She went over various types of furnaces in great detail, so that I could make an informed choice. I decided to get the more expensive Trane XV95 furnace because it had the features I wanted, including two-stage heat and a variable speed blower. I also chose the Trane XR13 condenser. I purchased a very good low level carbon monoxide detector (everyone needs one of these!), a by-pass humidifier to go on the furnace, and a retrofit kit to make it easier to change the filter on the air cleaner. The price was about $6790 for the furnace, A/C and all of these extras, after subtracting the rebates and discounts. I qualified for several rebates, and a North Winds summer promotion. I will get a federal tax credit when tax time rolls around. The installation crew members were very good as well, and everything was installed on time. Sheree came over the next week to make sure everything was OK and to my satisfaction. She even programmed my thermostat for me. North Winds is a very reputable company, with a great staff. Sheree is truly a gem. You cannot go wrong with this company and their product line. I have been very happy with both my new A/C and my new furnace. I knew North Winds because I have been buying my furnace filters from them for the past ten years. They were always happy to install my filters for me for free, so I knew I was going to check with them first when I needed a new furnace. They did not disappoint!
