We have not had the job done yet. We are waiting for our financing and then we will be doing that job. They are the only quote we have gotten so far and we will get a couple more when the refi goes through. They have done nothing to take themselves out of the running.

Romana did an excellent job. Mike and his brother were great and very conscientious of my requirements. They were very punctual and very neat. I could not have asked for much more. I would use these guys every time!

They started with a very professional sales presentation and I chose their company despite not having the cheapest bid. The original construction date was delayed because of rain, but they kept me informed for rescheduling. They did an excellent job with the pouring of the new stamped patio and walkway. It looks great and was well worth the money.

The Ramana team arrived as promised and explained the process they were going to perform to fix the brick problem on our garage. This was the first phase of a three phase project with Ramana Construction. They then proceeded to remove the brick from the garage. They were very careful on how they were removing the brick as they were going to reuse the brick as they couldn't find a match for the existing brick. The brick was a lower grade of brick and even with delicate handling were breaking. We realized that we would not have enough brick to complete the job so the Ramana team went searching the area for replacement bricks. After an exhausting search of all of the brick yards a brick was found but it still was not a good match. The Ramana team worked with us to come to a mutual agreement to replace the brick with a glass block window that would give us enough existing good bricks to complete the project. The search for bricks and ordering of the glass block window add a few days to the project and Romana worked with us on a mutual agreed on price for the extra window and structure to complete the project. The brickwork and addition of the glass block window was beautiful and the brickwork had the correct ties so the brick wouldn't pull from the garage structure which was the problem in the first place. I was completely happy with Ramana Construction and will use them in the future.

This is the second of three phases of construction Ramana performed for us. The first phase was fixing the garage brick which was pulling away from the garage. the third phase is replacing the house siding. The Ramana Construction team arrived and removed our garage floor, driveway and two sidewalks and set the forms in four hours in the afternoon. The next morning the Ramana team arrived and poured the 20 foot by 32 driveway, both of the 22 foot walkways, and the double car garage with new fiberglassed reinforced concrete. The complete concrete pour was done in less then 4 hours. As of June 2010 the concrete job is beautiful and we had no problems over the winter. Romana did a great job and we would have them anytime.

This was the final part of our three part project, after the brickwork and concrete work was completed. Our home is a Quad structure with brick. The Ramana team showed up the first day on time and talked with us to verify the choices we made earlier. They then removed all of the gutters, downspouts, siding and trim. We had a roof leak that wasn't part of the project but the team said they would look at the leaking area. They did find the leak and since the area was open did fix the leak at no additional cost. Over the following days they answered all of our questions and followed our requests. Near the end of the project we didn't like the trimming of the garage and the Ramana team gave us several suggestions to help us come to a happy resolution to the garage trim. We are completely happy with Ramana Construction and will use them in the future.

Romana Construction did an excellent job from start to finish. We were completely satisfied with all areas of their work. I called Romana for a quote because they had good feedback on Angie's List. Mike came out to give us a quote the very same day that I called him. He explained everything in detail and was very professional and great to work with. His crew was also great to work with and they were polite and professional. They showed up each day on time or a few minutes early, and they did an excellent job for us. They pulled the necessary permits at our city which saved me the time of having to do that myself. Romana is a family run business, which I really liked and I could tell that they took pride in doing a good job for us. Mike was our main contact. We also had his brother Joe working with the crew and their dad pulled the permits at the city. Romana's price was fair and they were fantastic to work with. We are very happy with our new driveway, and we would definitely call them again if we need another project completed in the future.

They did outstanding work and had the most professional presentation I've seen. Instead of writing it on the back of a business card, they came with pictures of equipment and crew, referrals, wrote up a contract. They weren't the cheapest estimate I had, but the work was excellent. The presentation is what sold me.

I did my research (including Angie's list) to get 3 estimates for our cement job. All three estimates and companies were in the ballpark, but I really was impressed by Romana Cement Co. Other friends had used them in the past and were pleased with their work. I also have a friend that works for the cement mixing company that they use and he has seen their excellent work first hand. I had spoken to both brothers/owners Mike and Joe Iaquaniello and they were very knowledgeable about the work I had requested. In fact...I was also interested in having cement laid in an easement section behind my garage. The other two companies encouraged me to go forward with that part of the job, but Romana explained that was not a good idea. Romana could have just said "ok, thats not a problem", but since they were a company with morals, they explained that it would not be a good idea. The city I live in frowns on paving easements and could have requested that I remove it at any time. Or if a neighbor had a problem with it, they could contact the city and have them have me remove it. How's that for honesty over profit !! As for the job... I can't say enough good things about the work that was done !! The job took 2 days for the cement work and a morning for the railing installation. All work was solid, professionally completed, with no complications. Romana took exceptional care to clean up after themselves and did not damage any of my property in the meantime. Their crews were professional and courteous. Even though their price was not the lowest of my three estimates, I was glad I selected them to do the work. We would certainly use Romana Cement Co. again in the future and would recommend them to anybody who needs any of the services that they perform. Thanks again Romana !! They were very responsive when I called for a quote. They explained that they don't do this type of work, but then recommended firms that do what I was looking for. They were very helpful.

The workers arrived on time each day. The first day they removed the old concrete, set up the wood borders, put in the spacers around the borders of the house and garage, put down the crushed concrete as a base and then put down the wire mesh, they also removed several large tree roots. Two days later they arrived with the cement truck and began moving the cement from the truck to the back via a little truck cart. While it was poured in two workers raked it to level it out, as they moved on they had another man trawl it, to make it smooth and lastly they had someone brush it to give it grooves so it would not be too slippery. The next day one man arrived to put in the front steps and put in the saw cuts in the driveway. They took the time to answer the questions I had. The only problems were they washed their tools off in my front yard near the house, not on the lawn, they said they had to because city ordinances will not allow them to do it in the street, and I thought it might be sloped a little too much in back by the back porch, but overall I thought they did a very good job.

Came out and did everything right from beginning to end. Came on time. Did work in time frame they said they would. Very prompt and personable. Would recommend to friends and neighbors.

They came out several times to review the details before we took their quote, took care of all permitting, which also included getting our neighbors approval. The finished product is beautiful and the work was done quickly and when they said. While their price was a little higher than others, they took the time to figure it all out and came up with a firm quote whereas the others bidders looked at it a provided a quote without the detail. I am sure the others would have had add-ons which brought the pricing in line with Romana. In the end, you get what you pay for and what you pay for is worth it with Romana.

Very very good job. Answered all our questions and explained everything to us, which other contractors that we got estimates from did not do. Came when they said they would and got the job done when they said they would. Did a very good job.

My initial call was returned within 48 hours and an estimate was provided within in a reasonable amount time. (I don't recall how long it took to get an estimate, but it was reasonably quick.) Mike Sr. was very professional and patient with my questions. The estimate clearly included the required permit, and the timing for inspections was discussed as part of the overall project timing. (Whereas other companies avoided permit discussions and actually suggested that I could pull the permit myself.) They worked with me on the scheduling and contacted me when they were able to move things up by a day. The project team was focused and professional, getting the job done quickly and without leaving a mess. Although the price was higher than I'd hoped, it was competitive. Added note: About 8 years ago, Romana also extended my driveway, poured a garage floor, and oversaw the garage construction, with no issues to date. I was delighted to find them on Angie's List.
