Brad does excellent work. His pricing is reasonable. He always was on time as scheduled. He cleaned up after performing the work. He has creative ideas on how to work with difficult situations, and this was most helpful and valuable for some of our projects. I would highly recommend Brad for your projects.

Brad responded to my late day email the following morning. The estimate was given and the work completed in an extremely professional and timely manner. All of the work was started on Monday of this week and completed the following day. I will not hesitate to use this company in the future and will recommend them highly to friends and family.

Taking our small budget into account, Brad gave us many ways to fix problems ourselves inexpensively. He also gave us estimates on professional work from him. We asked him to look at other areas in the house and he gave us great advice about a number of projects. Brad responded to my email right away and was professional, courteous and informed. We didn't feel pressured or scared - rather he empowered us to make the best decision for our family's needs and budget.

Very pleased with how everything went on a complicated job. We had a 1970's era staircase that had large openings in the railings and risers and was outdated. Brad was always responsive and understanding about our vision for a safer and better staircase and turned it into reality. He also spread out the work, so we were never unable to access the second floor, which was much appreciated. The finished product was extremely high quality and should last a long time. A little bit unusual is the $50 charge for an estimate but it does get applied to the work performed if you go ahead with the work quoted. Would definitely use Carpentry Plus for any future work.

Brad had done some tiling work for us previously and let us know that he does many different kinds of work. We were very pleased with our previous experience with him and felt confident in his work. We contacted him to install a wall bracket for some exercise equipment and some lighting. As before, he responded immediately and we worked out a time. He came on time, did a great job and also consulted with me about some deck work I would like to have done in the future. I think he does great work, is trustworthy and is quite reasonably priced. I highly recommend him.

I called Brad to do some replace some trim work in my family room. He called me back promptly and arranged a visit the next day to do the job. Brad asked for some information over the phone, had me send him a picture of the area that needed to be fixed, and came to the job with the supplies he needed. I was extremely pleased with his professionalism and the quality of his work. I also asked him for some advice about another project and he did some research and followed up with an estimate. I highly recommend Brad for carpentry and trim work.

Last spring a violent wind storm tore the storm door off the house. In addition the entry door had been replaced once before incorrectly and needed to be replaced again. Brad Greene said the work would take less than a day and he might have an opening right away. Well the opening materialized and Brad came out and did the work. The door looks much, much better. I'm very pleased with the results.

Last summer I scraped the front of my garage intending to paint it but soon realized that it was beyond needing only paint so I looked for someone to install siding. Brad came out and said, yes, he could do just siding but the garage needed more. A service door that was installed some years ago had caused the whole front framing structure to weaken. Plus some of the pieces of trim and other wood were weather damaged. Brad recommended that I have 6x6's installed adjacent to both doors and anchored to the concrete. This he did and then installed the new siding and wrapped the trim. I am very pleased with the results and plan to have more work done. He was at all times professional and courteous and did what he said he would and when. That goes a long way with me.

Brad Greene (the owner) is the ultimate professional. He is reliable, honest, hardworking and talented. It seems that there is no job, interior or exterior, that he cannot do. We are extremely pleased with the results of his work. We have been using this company for several years now and have never been disappointed.

Called him on a Friday and described what I wanted. He gave me a $500 estimate and guessed he could do it the following Thursday or Friday. Wednesday night he called to say he could be here Thursday by 9 AM. He got here at 8:30 and was done by noon. So it took him 3.5 hours to do it. Initially, I thought he did a quality job. But once winter rolled around it started dripping whenever I took a shower. He sent someone to try to take up some of the slack in the exhaust duct, which passed the unoccupied-hot-shower test, but later failed the actual occupied-hot-shower test. I didn't want to hassle with it anymore, especially since I don't run the exhaust fan in winter anyway (waste of heat). The hassle and the affects on future occupants takes the quality down to a C. I'm also worried that same defect may cause water to collect and mold growth in summer, but I haven't seen any signs yet.

It went really well. He was very professional when he came to give me an estimate. We arranged the work to be done in conjunction with another job that he had scheduled in my area. He came on the day that we scheduled and worked while I did other things. I felt very comfortable having him in my house. He was trustworthy. I would hire him again!

Brad was responsive to my emails which is pretty uncommon. I've found a lot of the people I have contacted about doing work will either ignore me or follow up with phone calls, which is difficult for me to take care of when I am at work. Estimate was given based on my measurements and without seeing the job in person. This made me a little nervous, more about my measuring skills than anything else, but it worked out and I was charged exactly the estimated price. Brad was running a little late, but did send me a message to let me know. I was at work for the majority of the time, but I believe it took him about 6 hours to complete and the baseboards look good.

It went very well. The finished product is very beautiful and functional for my needs. I wouldnt hesitate to hire this company again for future jobs.

Brad worked hard, very efficiently. He's got an even temper and didn't seem bothered by a crowded situation and crazy cats getting in the way. He was open and communicative. I really appreciate how he was observant to other projects going on in the house and tolerant of me changing my mind a few times. One of the best things about working with Brad is how he uses his experience for more accurate pricing. We've had other contractors under-quote a job and then as complications show up, better jobs come along, or it becomes too time-consuming, they cut corners on quality. We've also had contractors who like to build a new house from scratch, but are totally flummoxed and impatient with re-modeling jobs because they have to deal with previous contractors' mistakes, unforeseen water damage, etc. That's not Brad. He really tries to be realistic and fair. Brad seems to know more than most where there might be expensive problems and gave us warnings about what he's seen in the past. We were prepared, but luckily there were no surprises. He finished on-time and on-budget.

Brad returned my call promptly and he was responsive and flexible in arranging a time.. He was very professional, and did a great job explaining what needed to be done. He offered options regarding the scope and extent of the repair, which was very helpful to us. We were able to do necessary repairs now and others later. Brad spent time and did a very thorough, good job. We were very pleased with his work and would highly recommend this company.

Our options were slim, and our regular handyman (who is also in the top 5 of Angie's List in this category) was away with family for the winter. We needed a problem solver, and we found one. The door of our very attractive painted steel mailbox and post had fallen off because the hinge, which was attached by now-rusted screws, had broken. The mailbox company (an Alabama firm that no longer has local reps in Michigan) advised us to replace the hinge (which would only cost us $9), and then reattach the door. But the screws had rusted in place and we couldn't get the old hinge off by ourselves despite soaking it in WD40. We called Brad and because the project was a little unusual, he asked for photos via email before he could give an estimate. I sent them to him in half an hour, and he responded immediately, confirming what he had speculated during our conversation, that it would require drilling the old screws out of the metal hinge and door, and at the base of the mailbox itself, where it was attached to the post. He quoted us $100 for the job, which he estimated would take a couple of hours. Our only other options seemed to be (1) wait till spring, with our mail subject to rain, snow, and wind, then dig up the entire unit around the cement, and replace it all, a pretty expensive prospect, or (2) try to replace the box (at a cost of $175 from the company, plus local labor, which might be another $100). Since Brad thought he could fix it, we thought it was worth a try. He had to change the appointment a couple of times because other jobs went on longer than anticipated, but called us each time to let us know in advance and reschedule. On the day of, he arrived on time, set to work, drilled everything apart, reassembled it all in about an hour and a half, and then wanted us to test how it worked, because he thought it might be a difficult for us to open based on the placement of the holes in the new hinge and where it met the corresponding holes in the unit. Unfortunately, he was right -- the door stuck closed, and was very hard to open. We envisioned ourselves and mail deliverers having to yank it open forcefully everyday, with the same deterioration and breakage happening again over time. He cheerfully took everything apart, re-drilled somewhat larger holes, and carefully reassembled it all again. This time (by now, 2 hours exactly) it worked really well, not quite the same as when the original unit was new, 15 years ago, but perfectly acceptable. We know Brad does much larger jobs than this, but felt that he gave it the same attention and expertise he would bring to a more substantial project. At $50 an hour, we would think twice about calling him for more run-of the mill general handyman work, but for a specialty job like this, or potentially larger ones, we liked him and his work, and will definitely keep him in mind.

$22,000. Brad started by framing basement walls and ceiling and walls for closets and a bathroom. He added insulation where needed and then put up drywall. He put in a shower and vanity in the bathroom. He painted walls and ceiling and put in a dropped ceiling in most of the basement and finished it with oak trim. He did an excellent job and I would hire him to do any project I have to do. We are very happy with his work and professionalism, a great and honest person.

He is very professional and trustworthy. He also fixed a sagging garage door. These repairs were done on my daughters home. He did an excellent job on everything.

He is very honest and is usually here when he says he will be.

See above. Overall, we were very pleased. Brad Greene was punctual and responded quickly to what was developing into a minor plumbing emergency. He did not charge for an estimate, unlike some other larger local plumbing specialists. He explained each step clearly and checked with us at any juncture where cost or time were involved. He left the work and access areas clean and was considerate in dealing with us. For a plumbing job on short notice, I think the price is probably reasonable given the time involved, but I have little to compare it with locally.

Excellent. From the initial contact and throughout the job, Brad demonstrated professionalism, courtesy and expertise. He was very honest, thorough and accommodating during the entire home repair experience. The work performed was of high quality and we are extremely satisfied with the results. We have been through many home improvement experiences and found Brad to be one of the very best we have dealt with - the job was completed as promised within the projected timeframe and in the least disruptive manner possible. We would not hesitate to contact Brad for any home project and hope to work with him again in the future.

They worked with us on breaking basically one big job into 3-4 separate phases so that we could pay for the work as they went instead of having to wait and save up all of the funds before any work could be started. We are very happy with how the work turned out, and are very excited to be able to do another project this fall.

He was prompt he kept his word as far as what he was going to accomplish. He always cleaned up after himself. He was on time and was very courteous. He stuck to the estimate he gave me and did not slack off on the job. The price was very fair and the quality of work was excellent. I would use him again and again.
