Carpentry Plus Building Inc

This was our first big remodeling project and our expectations were quite high. However . . . Carpentry Plus far exceeded our expectations. They did a beautiful job and, it being our first remodel, were very helpful with suggestions on what was needed, from what items were needed, from cabinetry to backsplash to countertops to flooring. We'll be hiring them again for our next project.

After receiving three bids, we decided to work with Brad and Lauri of Carpentry Plus and we are so glad we did. The remodel was comprised of about 2/3 of our downstairs space including the kitchen, dining room, laundry room, 1/2 bath and the adjoining hallway, plus the flooring in our foyer and sunporch. We were extremely happy with the quality of their work, the consistent professionalism and thoughtful care and advice as we worked through a complex project. The work included removal of walls, reworking air runs, lots of wood working including matching colors, installing new cabinets and countertops, new flooring, paint, electrical, plumbing and new windows. Carpentry Plus provided many great ideas, was flexible, which was necessary as the project took place during the COVID-19 shut-down and treated our project as if it was their own home. We have already signed up for some additional projects with them and expect that Carpentry Plus to be our go-to contractor in the future.

Carpentry Plus Building came to our rescue to build a deck for my mom after a disastrous experience with a different contractor that we ended up firing. They picked up where the other contractor left off (something others were not willing to do). I originally contacted them on a Friday at 4:30 pm. To my surprise, they got back with me within an hour and continued to engage for several hours after that, ultimately providing a very reasonable quote for an unusual deck installation. Every single step of the way, Brad and Lauri were professional, courteous, honest, and trustworthy. They did exactly what they said they would do and either showed up on time, or early. The entire job was completed in less than two weeks from the day I contacted them, and three weeks sooner than they estimated. The workmanship and craftsmanship was exceptional with an unparalleled attention to detail. They even cleaned my mom's windows when they were done! These are people who clearly care about the quality of their work and also know a thing or two about how to treat customers. I'd use Carpentry Plus again in a heartbeat and I recommend them with the highest of praise.

Brad was extremely helpful and courteous with helping me get the right materials ahead of time for this project. The entire project took only 3 days and came out beautifully. Workmanship is wonderful, clean up during and at the end of the project was outstanding. He, his wife and daughter are the only employees that worked on this job, no subs or outside contractors were used. I would definitely recommend and use them again.

Everything from start to finish was done in a professional manner. All work was done in a timely fashion and I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family and I also would hire them for any future projects.

We enthusiastically recommend Carpentry Plus. Following our great experience with them siding our house a year ago, we engaged them to help us with an indoor project. We had a very large salt water aquarium that we decided to get rid of and thought we would turn the space into a closet. So of course, we called Carpentry Plus to help us. Brad came over and listened to what we wanted for the closet and the end-product exceeded our expectations. He also provided some excellent ideas on how we could increase our storage space beyond what we had originally envisioned. This included some new cabinets for the kitchen and more counter-space. The cabinets match our existing cabinets perfectly. We are very impressed with Brad’s skills. Part of installing the cabinets meant moving the wall about 12 inches and he also matched the textured paint on the wall perfectly. His team went “above and beyond” by changing out all the existing cabinet pulls and replacing them so that everything would match.

Brad and team were great. Work done as planned and scheduled. Very professional with good communication. Very good at preparing area to limit debris and very thorough clean up each day and at the end. I’d hire again and again if I could afford all the improvements I’d love to have!

Overall we were very pleased with the work that Brad and his family did - they're really knowledgeable and did a quality job. He took the time to understand our preferences and offered lots of ideas and options during his original consultation. The job itself included a complete remodel of the master bathroom, including rearranging where the vanity and shower were located. The work went smoothly and they very much made an efficient team. We had a couple of additional odd jobs that they were able to work into time gaps between drywall phases in the bathroom. There were a couple of curveballs during the project that they were able to work around and keep within budget for the most part, and weren't put out in any way by having to adjust plans. From the original consultation throughout the entire job, they always took time to answer questions and to make sure we understood what they were doing and why. They were extremely conscientious in terms of keeping things clean, laying down plastic to protect carpet and stairs that were getting extra traffic during the project. They also cleaned up after each day (we were still using the master bedroom during the project). They were always on time, always asked before setting up work spaces in the garage, on the porch, etc., and always made sure that their work schedule was workable on our end. We couldn't always be home when they were working on things, but we were very comfortable with them as an honest, upstanding family, whose work crew didn't change from one day to the next. In fact, there was some sort of deposit that Menards charged for the shipping materials for our vanity countertop that we never knew about, and they made sure to send the refund on to us after the fact. We'd definitely recommend them to others (and have done so already), and plan to give them a call for future projects.

Did a nice job helped out with color and tile matching, worked with us to keep in budget. cleaned up when finished. All in all did a great job.

Under very poor weather conditions Brad and his crew did a great job. Subzero temps caused them some issues but they were troopers and made it through and did a very good job

Excellent! Met prior to job to match new shingles to ones they had installed on my house back in 2013. Workers arrived early morning to work ahead of the afternoon heat. Three person crew completed the work in 3 long mornings. Employees used safety harnesses. Nice to see, since it protects them and me. They disposed of all shingles that had blown off origingal ridge cap and all shingle wrappers. Barn looked great!

They replaced our deck with Trex material (Trex is a much costlier material, but having practically no maintenance made it worth it) along with a super cool railing system which makes the deck feel so much larger. They also added a lower 5 x 17 section. They worked so hard in extremely hot temps. We couldn’t believe how fast the job was completed. The results are amazing. They do high quality work, are extremely professional & courteous. They even modified the top railing to accommodate our heavy planter boxes. We would hire them again in a heartbeat!

We cannot say enough good things about Carpentry Plus. We were extremely pleased with their expertise, professionalism, and work. In addition, Brad and his family are so friendly and personable that we felt like they were old friends. We hired them to put vinyl siding on our 2-story wood house and 2-car garage. As the work proceeded we discovered that there was extensive water damage to the wood in several places on both the house and garage. These included the chimney, the three-season room, and the bottom plate around the perimeter of the garage walls. As a master carpenter Brad Green resolved these issues in a creative and effective way. After replacing all the rotted wood in these areas, he installed flashing around the garage and closed-in three-seasons room to help prevent future damage. The three-seasons room was in such seriously bad shape that it almost needed to be rebuilt. All these issues added a lot of extra work and time to the project. Brad let us know every step of the way what was happening with the job and we were grateful that Brad agreed to take the time to do the extra work--well beyond the original agreement. We have not had any water in the garage since the work was completed and we are so happy to have our three-seasons room repaired. And the siding looks beautiful generating compliments from our neighbors. Really great attention to detail!

The job went great. From the very beginning Brad was easy to get a hold of and very responsive. Communication was great from start all the way to finish. I can't stress that enough. So many people I called either answered once or didn't return my messages at all. Brad would always get back to me. He showed up right on time, did a great job with the door. Everything works great. If you need something done I would recommend Carpentry Plus again and again.

Carpentry Plus was amazing to work with - I highly recommend them. They helped us identify exactly what we needed to realize our vision for the bathroom and were very responsive to questions throughout the project. Prior to the remodel, our bathroom was very outdated and needed A LOT of work, however the finished product looks GORGEOUS! Their craftsmanship is top-notch. The entire project took about 2 weeks to complete.

Brad was quick to respond to my request for an estimate of the work and coordinated the completion of the job around our schedules. Both Brad and Lauri took great care in protecting the surrounding carpet and walk ways to ensure any dust or dirt was contained on the drop cloths. The new replacement wood trim and jamb were stained and varnished perfectly to match our current wood throughout the rest of the house. We are very happy with the quality of his work and look forward to calling him again on future projects.

The deck turned out better than I expected. It looks beautiful and I'm very happy with the quality of work. This is the third project I have hired them for and I've been very happy with all of them. They have been very responsive and quickly addressed any issues that I've had.

Brian and his team were fantastic to work with. Brian came out to give me an estimate in person and took the time to brainstorm different solutions with me to address some of my home's quirks. He priced each project individually so I could prioritize my wish list and fit me into their schedule sooner than I expected. My house is cinder block construction beneath its siding and the interior walls are plaster, which makes for messy work. But Brian and his team cleaned and packed everything up each night so I wasn't living in a construction zone. In addition to excellent customer service, craftsmanship, and attention to detail, they were great company. I work from home and truly enjoyed having them here all week. Carpentry Plus is a family owned small business, which is a variable I appreciate, and I would be happy to work with them again.

I couldn't be happier with the results or the service that Brad and Lauri provided. They always kept in contact about their work schedule at my house and I felt comfortable leaving them here working if I had to go out. I believe their pricing was more than fair for the amount of time they put in and their attention to detail. With the new closet, Brad was able to reuse existing oak wall paneling to make the closet seem as if it was original to 1948 when the house was built. When Brad finished the crown molding cap for the closet corner, he was unhappy with the look and he came up with another design and made it on the spot. They care about the quality of their work and it shows in the results. Easy to work with and I would hire again in a heartbeat.
