Description of Work: CarpentryPlus charges $75 for an on-site project evaluation and cost estimate. Brad came out and spent a few hours with me discussing what would be required to remodel my two bathrooms. Brad is very knowledgeable and professional. It was well worth the $75 for his expertise in the design logistics. I did not have CarpentryPlus actually do the job because it exceeded my budget.

Description of Work: I called on a Saturday and the next day they called back. Very quick response and punctuality . They installed a fan in a bathroom and fixed an old one in the other bathroom . Also finish some dry wall in the attic . Very professional and friendly. |What got my attention is that the family works together , wife daughter I thought I will have a few guys in my house for a while and I ended up with an amazing family ! |I hired them again for the next project! |I recommend Carpentry plus!!

 + 1 moreBrad has done an excellent job. My mother has limited sight, so having somebody she can rely on to address all the little things required to keep a house in working order is very important. I always know when Brad's been by to do work for her because she's one the phone to me 15 minutes later giving him a rave review. His professionalism and communication are both excellent. I'm an architect, so I can be quite fussy about the details of a contractor's work. I notice when they cut corners, but I have absolutely no complaints with Brad's work.

 + 2 moreBrad was always on time, took great care to have things right. He was willing to work with requirements of Sycamore Village Mobile Home Park. He took the time to explain every part of the work. Also took some time with my dog. Many times worked when I was not at home - all safe inside and out - extremely trustworthy.
Description of Work: The first visit was 4/26/09 then again 9/09 and lastly 5/31/10. 1) Removal and replacement of shingles on shed roof (-20 degrees resistant). 2) New carport with footings but unattached to mobile home, also removal of old porch and new steps to front door, removal of cracked cement and small addition of new cement parking spot. Addition of new eavesdrop roof and downspouts. 3) Addition on rear of carport and new wooden (treated wood) steps to back door - removable.

 + 9 moreWe found Carpentry Plus on Angie's List. Having had a recent horrible experience with a contractor, we were very worried about hiring a competent, ethical person to do our work. Brad did not disappoint. He was punctual, extremely respectful of our home and our time and money. He made wonderful suggestions that were aesthetically better than what we requested and mindful of our budget. Brad is a tireless worker. He essentially did the job on his own--and ripping out plaster and a concrete floor alone is no easy feat. He finished the job exactly when he told us it would be done. His estimate was dead on--no surprises. Our home was left in great condition. He always called and followed up to make sure we were aware of what was happening with the project, and he didn't leave until he knew we were 100% satisfied. I will hire Brad/Carpentry Plus for all of my future home projects.
Description of Work: We hired Carpentry Plus, Inc. to completely remodel the only full bathroom in our 1931 home. The old bathroom was all original work, plaster walls, old tile, and fixtures. Brad completely gutted the bathroom by removing the walls, floor, and all tile. He updated the electrical and plumbing, relayed all the tile (including building cubby spaces inside the shower area), reglazed the tub, and did all the finish carpentry. The carpentry included a custom-built medicine cabinet and a major repair to the built-in linen cupboard where Brad repaired old hinges that allowed the large (heavy) door to open, and custom built-lazy susans to fit into the interior of the cupboard. He also reversed the way the door swings so we regained more interior wall space inside the bathroom. The results are amazing. Our bathroom is completely up to date, yet has retained the beautiful wordwork and authentic period look that matches the rest of our old home. He did a fantastic job--and he essentially did most of the work himself.

 + 2 moreBrad's greatest talent is his creativity. He took an old house with a major design flaw (a useless central hallway) and figured out how to reuse the space more effectively. We had an architect and a "interior designer" look at the house as well and neither came up with options as quickly or as easily (and both were very impressed with Brad's idea!). Brad was responsive to our questions throughout the process and we love the way the kitchen and bathroom look now. We hired him again this past fall to fix our roof when it started to leak, fixing several rotting boards underneath that a previous roofer had just covered over. Brad's work is very high quality and his prices are on par with other builders that we have asked.
Description of Work: Brad remodeled our kitchen in the fall of 2009, taking an old kitchen and breaking it down to the studs, moving walls and building a new bathroom, moving several doors. He then fixed our roof in fall 2010.

He successfully restabilized the bulging vertical exterior wall boards and the sagging soffit, observing some water damage to the framework boards under the soffit. The work was done very well and in a timely fashion, as well as with a very modest cost. He communicates by cell phone and e-mail, so contact is no problem. We definitely will continue to use his services.

He was honest from the beginning about the timing and cost of the project, and made every effort to complete his work in a timely and cost-effective way. He communicated with us throughout the project and was flexible as we changed our mind about various aspects of the remodeling. We could not be more pleased with the way the bathroom looks now. I will also point out that we had other contractors look at the space and tell us that the conversion to a full bathroom could not be done, but Brad had the ability and the creativity to find a way to make it work
Description of Work: We hired Brad to fix some rotting floorboards under our bathroom floor and also to convert the bathroom from a half bathroom to a full bathroom with a shower. The plumbing had to be updated, a new window was put in, electricity was updated and the floor and walls were tiled.

Description of Work: I had an unfinished basement and wanted a another bathroom and laundry room framed out and Brad took a blank space and framed out both rooms for me as well as hook me up with a plumber and an electrician. He also made sure all required inspections were contacted and approved.

He was not only had the lowest bid, he also seemed the most professional and attentive before the construction began. His communication and responses were quick and professional. We were absolutely satisfied with the work and he do. met all bid promises on all aspects of parts and labor. We would certainly use him again for any projects we may want to do.
Description of Work: Mr. Greene built a pole born from start to finish. He dug out the ground and poured the foundation. He put up the structure, installed siding, shingled the roof, and installed the garage door. He worked on the project as promised until it was done.
