Randazzo Heating & Cooling

Went very well. 3 man crew showed up on time. They performed the work, our furnace and AC are now updated, and we look forward to lower energy bills in the future. 1 caveat. They did not clean up as well as they could have, so I had to sweep several areas of my basement floor of dirt from their boots and ceiling tile dust.

I called at 8am. The salesman was at the house by 11am. The crew was there by 2pm. The new furnace and chimney liner was installed by 6pm. Great price, super fast service, professional employees. I am completely satisfied.

I went through the typical bids and went with Randazzo as they were $1,000 less then the lowest other bidder (Lowes). I financed this project through them. I felt I was given a lot of information & knew what I was getting. The job went so well. They did a great job, the crew of three showed up (my unit is 1,200 square foot townhouse style condo in Ann Arbor).They showed up as scheduled (you get an Email when they have left). A three person crew was dispatched. They were quiet and respectful. There was NO mess. The existing equipment was removed and disposed of as well. Tony was the lead and he was informative, smart and kind. This company was SO responsive. I am so impressed I am going to sign on for the annual inspection by them. I really trust them and admire their work ethics.

We were in the market for a new gas furnace, we had an original GE 1970s model. Making an appointment for an estimate was easy. The girls in the office were very professional. Rob our Sales Rep called to see if we were home about an hour before our scheduled appointment. He waited for me to get home from work and on inspection immediately noticed that our AC Coil and our Furnace were not two separate units. He then gave us a few options but basically we had to decide between Furnace and AC Coil or Furnace, Air Conditioner and Coil. Our Air Conditioner was installed in 2000 so we decided to go for everything. Rob called back a few days after our estimate to see if we had any questions. I told him we would like to move forward and he had Theresa call me within 10 minutes to go over all of the financial details. Theresa then had the installers call 15 minutes later to schedule install. Very efficient process. Install went well except it was not noted that our furnace area was not well lit. I had to leave work and bring lights so installers could see what they were doing. Installation went quickly and they really explained the system well before packing up and heading home.

We have an old historic house that had forced air and an 18 year old furnace for the main floor but it had 220v wall heating registers in the bedrooms for the 2nd floor. The upstairs bathroom had no heat at all. We also did not have any A/C in the house. Carlos from Randazzo's came out and took a look a situation and gave us a quote to install 2 new furnaces and 2 A/C units. The basement got a 95% efficient furnace and, to save on installation costs, the attic got an 80% efficient furnace. He promised a 1 day install! When the crew came out they were more like an army. 4 vehicles and around 10 installers came out. They started around 9:00am and finished the entire project by around 6:30pm! They were very professional and cleaned up after all the work was done. They pulled all the necessary permits and installed new duct work and cold air returns in each 2nd floor bedroom and also in the bathroom. I would highly recommend this company for anyone looking at any HVAC work. Their pricing was right in line with the other 4 quotes that we received but their install time was so far shorter than what others estimated. We looked up other reviews on Angie's List and almost all were very positive. Those reviews were not misleading! Great company and great experience!

Found them through a Costco promotion. They were punctual, clean, professional. Could not have been a better experience. We had struggled for 6 months with several other local contractors, only one of which returned our phone calls. Randazzo was everything we hoped for. Home mechanical problems are a pain anyway, and getting them repaired should not make the problem more painful. Randazzo was the best call we could have made.

All I will say is this company Randazzo was highly professional, hard workers and went beyond what was required of them. They had to be satisfy the job was done well at no extra cost to me. themselves which made me completely satisfied.

For the 3rd year in a row they couldn't service an outage for over 2 weeks. We paid Randazzo $20,000 to put in a large high efficiency HVAC system and 2 large tankless hot water heaters, but ever since we can't get them out to do any service. Every time we call the service woman can't schedule us for two to three weeks despite it being an outage, not a checkup or other non-critical service. They are completely not reliable. Our next door neighbor likewise paid them big bucks for a new install and had to hire another HVAC contractor like me, to get it running and have it serviced. The owners obviously have no idea how the service lady handles service requests. Why they spend so much money advertising on TV and radio, yet turning away business every day really confuses me.

They did a great job. I would refer them to everybody.

All went well, Sean,Jeff and Arron did the complete job in about 8 hrs. They were very professional in there approach and very diligent about their work. I was very confident in what they were doing. I would definitely use them again.

They did not have a good level of customer. They went in to the basement and came back and told me that I had a huge problem which will cost me a lot I should pay an installment. Then they told me the price and I said no thanks I will call another company. Then he went out to the truck and called his manager and then came back and told me he was given me a discount because I am senior citizen which sounded like a bunch of crap, but at that time I wanted heating. I called to complain about it.

Honesty ? Integrity ? Humility ? Respect ? Hardworking ? Thoughtful These are just a few attributes I would use to describe the individuals who work for Randazzo?s. I guess it is only logical that an old furnace and air conditioner could have problems in extreme temperatures. Here?s our story? 1st Randazzo Encounter ? July 2014: We noticed the air conditioner was not working. We called Randazzo because of the high ratings on Angie?s List. Our serviceman, Llazi, came out immediately. He noticed the unit was very old but proceeded to do his diagnostic testing. Our old unit was passing every test. I followed him every step of the way and could see him becoming bewildered. Towards the end of the tests, my slow brain finally connected the dots a little and I said the only other think I can think of is that I put a new thermostat in the prior fall. Llazi went to check it out and that was the problem. I did not connect the air conditioning wire! It was my fault. I mentioned this story only to share that this situation exhibits Llazi?s integrity and honesty. It would have been so easy for him to pull out any number of reasons to replace our old unit. He wired it correctly and we had cool air the rest of the summer. We asked Llzi to give us quotes for replacing the furnace and air conditioning knowing that one day down the road we would have to bite the bullet and replace everything. Speed Forward ? Today 2/18-19/2015: I noticed a chill in the air ? outside we had freezing temperatures. I checked the thermostat and there was a 4 degree variance. Not Good. We remembered our excellent experience with Randazzo. I called. Tim was out to our house within an hour. The diagnosis was twofold: (1) we could replace the ignition switch ? the real problem, or (2) replace the unit. Why? There was a lot of rust that had dropped down from the heating elements. No holes were visible yet ? however, should holes develop then there would be a risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. We didn?t take the risk and chose option 2. So now what? Sub-below temperatures! How long would we have to wait? How long would it take? A team came the very next day and it was done in less than 6 hours! INCREDIBLE!!! Jeff, Aaron, Grant & Ron were all wonderful. They explained everything upfront and every step of the way. They were courteous, polite, and respectful, and asked permission on all key changes. The other great point is that they were able to give us almost exactly the same price quoted to us last July. With additionally rebates, it even came in lower. The company has high integrity because even when problems with this or that arose or changes with this or that (e.g., move AC to be in compliance with code, run extra piping, etc.) ? it did not result in an additional add on charge at the end?and we have all dealt with companies who love to do that! Not Randazzo ? you can TRUST them every step of the way. It should be obvious how happy we are with the service we received and we highly recommend them. You will not find a better company who has an entire team of individuals with high values like Randazzo. It was a FANTASTIC experience. Thank you to the entire team!!!

They did all of the rebates for me, and they were much cheaper than others that came by for an estimate.

Excellent job. They were punctual, well equipped, and professional. Their shop was able to fabricate and quickly deliver a couple of components when what they had did not work. They were neat and cleaned up the site. System is working perfectly to date. They were not cheapest, but you get what you pay for.

My 30+ year old furnace was wearing out so I researched many options before deciding to go with Randazzo. The furnace was purchased through CostCo, and Randazzo is their local furnace contractor. Randazzo representative visited my home and measured for the new furnace, explained the differences between my old furnace and a high-efficiency model, and gave me options on the new equipment. I went with the 95% efficient single-stage Lennox model. The installation was scheduled a couple weeks out. The installers were Randazzo employees and were just great. (Thanks to Dan and Mike!) They removed the old furnace, made modifications to support the high-efficiency, ran new power so it would meet code, and installed the new furnace and humidifier. They were professional and respectful of my house. They cleaned up well and even installed a new thermostat and I had purchased. Through Randazzo and CostCo, I was entitled to many rebates which were handled by Randazzo and were satisfied without a problem. I would recommend Randazzo to my friends and neighbors. In fact, I did, and my neighbor had his furnace installed by them too.

The salesman was thorough and helpful in selecting the proper units for our home. The installers were professional, prompt, thorough and completed the job in one day. It was necessary to move our hot water heater, as well as, remove the old air conditioning unit and furnace. They laid a new cement slab for the air conditioning unit and removed the old one so it would be the proper size and shape. The 2 men worked continuously for approximately 10 hours. The company processed our rebates for us so there was very little paperwork for us to do. Overall, I would "highly recommend" Randazzo Heating and Cooling. The rebates through Costco, DTE Energy and Consumers Energy reduced the price to approximately $5400.

Great service and great work. We needed the work done quickly and they were able to fill our needs. Best price out of all the quotes we got. Friendly and knowledgeable. Will use in the future!

Furnace was cleaned properly. I was having the work done to sell a home. The gentleman doing the work cleaned & explained everything he was doing. BUT when he was asked to write up the condition of the furnace and air conditioner he said he could write it up to say what ever we wanted it to say. NOT COOL. We declined his offer and told he him to write up exactly what the condition everything was in.

First the Sales man was honest and knowledgeable. I thought my furnace was shot and was looking into getting an entire new system. I was also considering changing to forced hot air and getting duct work as well as central air-conditioning which I did not really feel I needed but figured if I was going to get duct work put in I would see what this would cost. We went down and looked at the system and he suggested I call the manufacturer and find out the exact age of the boiler. He suggested that if I don't need the air conditioning to stay with the boiler and just get some of the components repaired. I was expecting him to tell me the boiler was shot and I needed a new system. I would never have know the difference. I am an older single woman and they were fair and honest. I have a lot of neighbors that are seniors and I suggest to everyone that they contact Randazzo's because I feel they act with honesty and integrity. I really feel they should have the best rating possible. I am absolutely delighted with the service I got and especially delighted with the honesty and integrity of the sales person and repair man. Outstanding!!! BTW I had other companies in before and got really bad advise. I plan on writing a review about them.

Quotation for a furnace and AC unit is easy to get. I received about 8 quotes. Taking the lowest 3 quotes and putting them apples to apples resulted in going with Cappy (a Home Depot vendor). Randazzo was great on price, but I did not feel the personal touch. Their price was not the lowest, but their reputation and number of systems installed pushed them high on my list. The worst of my group was Sears. Very arrogant.

Remove the old furnace and removed old roof jack and replaced with new.

They only have one person to look at boilers.

The guys showed up at exactly 8am. They were polite and knowledgeable. They worked for 10 hours. Before leaving, we went for a walk thru with them. Everything looked great and they cleaned up after themselves. They hauled away all our old parts. We were very happy with the whole experience. I had already heard great things about this company from people I know. I would highly recommend them!!

Their price was reasonable and they had good products.
