.My Generac 14KW home standby generator often would not start on weekly test runs and seemed to be getting worse as the summer went on. I called Kelly Bros. since they are an authorized service center and appeared to have a good customer reputation online. My previous service company has been de-listed from Generac's service list. Kelley Service Tech (Cliff) was out the next morning, on time, checked the system and found that the previous service person (previous company, not Kelley) had installed the wrong spark plugs and gapped them incorrectly, not to manufacturer's specs. Cliff replaced the spark plugs with proper ones, gapped properly and now the generator starts every time. Cliff was very knowledgeable, thorough, answered all my concerns and pointed out some things to watch for in my own maintenance of the unit. Also mentioned that magnetos that generate the starting 'spark' have had a high incidence of deterioration or failure on this model generator and if mine get any worse, likely will need replacing but are OK for now. Cost seems to be fair given the time, knowledge and diagnostics performed. Cliff was also very respectful of the landscape plantings.

Kelly Bros. did an excellent job. We were concerned abut eh closeness of the whole house generator to our house. Kelly Bros. came back out and located an area that worked for both of us. The crew arrived at 7:30 a.m. in the rain and installed the complete unit in the rain. One of the brothers was on the job with his crews. Every time they came into the house, the placed cloths down to walk on. When my husband came home he was expecting to see the box and stuff laying around, but you would never even know they had been at the house. lf you want a whole house generator, these are the people for you. Can't say enough good things about them.

They were prompt, professional, efficient, friendly and willing to answer questions (lots of them). I liked them well enough to establish regular maintenance contract with them!

The salesman came out and explained exactly what size we would need and why we needed the size that we did. The day the installers came to install the generator was a horrible weather day, constant downpours. They were efficient, friendly, and did an excellent job keeping the work area clean both in and outside of the home. When a problem arose due to how our basement has been finished, they worked out an excellent solution at no additional cost. They made sure the unit was working and explained everything to my understanding before they left. When the inspector from the county did not come to inspect the gas line, they had to disconnect the generator but were back the next day as soon as the inspection had taken place to make sure everything was as it should be. The owner of the company called the a couple of days later to make sure we were happy with our product and the installation, which I thought was a very nice touch. Since then, we have lost power 3 times and the generator has come on as promised and worked great. My husband and I both think every penny we paid to Kelley Brothers was worth the price.

Representitive visited our house. We received the estimate a few days later. Had the impression that he was trying to sell us a little more than we needed. (Just a slight impression)

They have done so much work for us in the last year and they are remarkable. Their knowledge is impressive. Another company quoted us 1$300 to repair our self start generator (taking it back to the shop) and Kelley Brothers were able to do it for about 200.00 and even showed us the small part that was replaced. They just realty know what they are doing. They favor American made products when ever possible as well!
