Functional Floors

Replaced tile and carpeted floors with Somerset Engineered white oak hardwood flooring. Finish was gunstock. I also had the tiling removed in our main bathroom and replaced. They completely redid the shower and the flooring. Overall, I highly recommend Functional Floors. On the flooring project, I had about 700 sq. Ft. Of flooring replaced. The project took about 2 weeks to complete. The worst part was the tear out of the ceramic kitchen floor. The installer, Matt, sealed off the area to eliminate the dust the best he could. No matter what you do, you’re still going to get dust. I am a retired engineer and do woodworking as a hobby. I’m a fussy person and not easy to satisfy. I usually do most projects my self. The few times I contracted a project out, I was disappointed with most. So I was concerned about this one. I have to tell you that Matt was every bit as meticulous as me. He did a great job. He always kept me informed about how it was going and talked to me about any concerns. He constantly cleaned up after himself. Again, I have no regrets about Function Floors, they would be my first choice for future flooring needs and would highly recommend to others. The second project was removing the floor and shower tiling in our main bathroom and installing new tiling. Approximately 120 sq. ft. Jerry was the installer for this project. The project took 5 days to complete. Jerry was good to work with too. He did a very nice job installing the new tile. It looks great, just like we wanted it. We still have painting and other work to do to finish the project. So Functional Floors scored 2 for 2 with an A rating.

It went very well from the quote to the end of the work. They were prompt and did really nice work. If my budget allows later, I would for sure hire them again.

The work done was excellent. The crew was punctual and professional. My only complaint/criticism is that the job wasn't walked/reviewed prior to being declared "done". We paid in full and then when we walked the job AFTER the poly was dried we noticed issues. Functional Floors responded quickly and corrected the issues however it did delay us by several days to move back into the house. I would absolutely use them again and recommend them for all of your flooring needs.

We had a fire at our house and Functional FLoors did a great job on our Reconstruction. We had 3 bathrooms done as well as the back splash in our Kitchen. Great job!!!

The floors look beautiful they were friendly on time cleaned up after themselves and because of our current environment they were mask and kept at a safe distance I was so pleased I recommended them to my mom and she loved there work

Very disappointed. Sloppy amateurish work. Installers acted like they never did tile work before. Left the work area dirty and stained. Will probably have to hire someone else to re-do the work

We executed a contract with Functional Floors and put down our deposit. Unfortunately we had to cancel for COVID reasons. Functional Floors refunded our deposit quickly and easily - even though our contract said they didn't have to. We will definitely be contracting with them again in 2021.

Functional Floors refinished the oak flooring in two of my houses and also installed additional oak flooring in one of those houses. It could not have gone better. Totally professional estimation, pricing, installation, refinishing, and cleanup. Every step went great. No problems, complaints, or callbacks. I will have them back in the future for additional work.

Excellent. Got estimate to do laminate flooring and also a price from Functional Floors to refinish floors in three bedrooms, hallway and living room. I was expecting the price to refinish would have been much higher than the laminate. I was surprised it was less and very reasonable. I contacted the job on the spot. The crew that did the work was polite, punctual and clean. Work was completed on schedule any they followed up to make sure we were satisfied. The work was done five years ago and still looks as good today as it did when they finished. If I ever had anyone ask me if I knew anyone that refinished hardwood floors, I would, and have recommended Functional Floors. You won't be sorry.

Everything went perfect and they did an amazing job.

Outstanding job! Demo old tile flooring, installed new hardwood in the hallway and new tile in the bathroom and foyer. Bathroom was natural stone. In the entry, they were able to do some requested custom work with the hexagon tile & hardwood plank. Ovie, the installer was always on-time and did very good work.

Demo and installation of porcelain floor and shower tile completed in less than two days. They were professional, did not leave ANY mess at all, and did an AMAZING job. I would recommend to everyone!
