Description of Work: Sanded and 4 coats of poly in the living room and hallway. Original job was to do 3 coats but they threw in a 4th due to issues. They had to return 4 times to fix defects ranging from missed spots,parts not sanded,drips,carpet fragments left in the poly,tracked in grass (yes grass) in the poly. You name it...they had to fix it. After a 3 day job was at the 2 week mark,we kicked them out. What a nightmare. Chris was very sympathetic to our situation, but our job was completed with a ton of defects remaining.

Description of Work: two bedroom oak wood floors were refinished. One bedroom floor ~ 220 square feet and a smaller bedroom floor under 200 square feet. Sanding was done in about half a day at appointment time and very little dust dispersed to room. Sealing and finishing done in several hours the following day.

Description of Work: Sanded, stained and finished a bedroom hardwood floor. All in all, a nice job with a couple of flaws. Stained one floorboard farther than requested into the hallway making putting a threshold down to cover the transition virtually impossible. Also was, to my way of thinking, very sloppy putting the stain down. I was going to put quarter round down and paint it anyway but now I have to prime the baseboard with KILLZ to cover the stain and then paint both the QR and the baseboard. :-( | |Still, all in all, a good job. I'd use them again with a bit more detail specs and oversight.

Description of Work: The guy who came to do my floors I feel maybe was a sub contractor, truck not marked like ones in the ads and he forgot buffer and other tools one day so left after working a couple hours. Also used masking tape on my newly painted walls when he put plastic up, so when he removed it left tape residue on my ceilings and pulled paint off my wall. They credited me 200.00 on my bill.

Description of Work: First time using an Angie's List recommendation. Company was willing to work with me on multiple changes of service dates due to other contractor's schedules. Owner and staff were patient and professional. Floor looks great. Smell throughout home was toxic so customers need to have someplace else ready to stay while work is done but a function of the product not company. Everyone at Funcional Floors more than willing to accommodate my needs and questions.

Description of Work: Functional came to our home to view our rooms to be refinished and gave us a written estimate. At that time we scheduled them to return for the sanding/refinishing of our floors and the applying of the polyurethane.
