The inspector and service tech each were very thorough. For a project that I was not comfortable with they explained each and every step along the way. I did go with the right company !

The best group of guys I have met in the contracting business...

- Called Inspector 3 times, left messages (unreturned) with questions before completion - Contract: Buyer will be provided with and have opportunity to review warranty prior to execution ? never given a warranty - Quoted 1 day of work, possibly into 2nd day. FSM worked into 3rd/4th days (after failed inspection) - Website: ?Our permanent repairs will return your structure to its original position: level, true, and plumb.? (Our house did not lift and is not level, true or plumb) - Website: ?Piers are an excellent way to stabilize foundations when there is sufficient knowledge of local soil conditions.? They did no research/customization for our particular soil conditions. They used generic multipliers and equations in their calculations. - Website: ?Piers are driven to stable soil depths?? Contract: ?Piers will be taken to competent load bearing soil and or bedrock?? Quoted: 40, 50, 60+ feet. They went 7 feet into clay which did NOT support the force of lifting the house. Other experts claim they should have broken through clay to more stable soil (2500+ psi ? they stopped at 2200 psi). - Multiple outside experts opinions: there is no reason the house should not lift. - FSM inspector: FSM would lift on all 9 piers concurrently for better results ? they lifted half at a time possibly resulting in more binding/less movement; also did not leave pressure/force on house for long enough to obtain results - Contract: horizontal lift cannot be guaranteed ? does not state that house may not lift (vertically) at all. We were verbally promised by Inspector, Crew leader that our house would lift and our cracks would close (vertical gaps). - Contract states: ?The full and complete extent of FS?s liability is set forth in the Limited Warranty provided to Buyer (we never got) and incorporated herein.? This contractually excludes the WHAT TO EXPECT CHECKLIST that FSM has referred to multiple times that they feel releases them from liability for results. FSM promised us results that they did not even come close to delivering.

It was a very good experience. They did very nice work. The gentleman who came out was excellent. So far, I've had no problems with them.

I had a contract dated August, 2013 to have my crawl space encapsulated on October 22-23rd, 2013. The day the company came out to do the work they said it would cost $4,000 more to remove the dirt from under my house when the contract read that dirt removal was part of the contract. They dropped the fee to $2,000 when I argued that I shouldn't have to pay more for something in the contract, they said they would stop work if I didn't pay, so I did. The workmen were using my electricity for the work and blew the circuit. Rather than call me and have me come and let them in, THEY BROKE INTO MY HOUSE so they could get the power on again. One of the workmen told me this in the evening when I came home from work. During the course of the work, the workmen broke off the top of my sewer line and covered it with dirt. Within two days of the work, the plumbing was completely back up in my house, they said they'd come and fix it, they didn't, so I had to call a plumber and pay close to $2,000 to have the damage that NSF caused, fixed! When the plumber got involved he asked he if I'd had FSM pull permits, I told him that I requested this be done. He told me if permits had been pulled they would be taped to the front of my house. Pretty soon the city of Dearborn got involved because FSM had applied for but hadn't actually had permits when they did the work. This was good for me because the head inspector called FSM and read them the riot act so I was able to get plumber work covered. Since then and still continuing today, the work remains unfinished, the crawl space takes in water and they put in an alarm so when the water gets high I had to go down into my crawl space to turn off the alarm, my backyard is a mess of mud and water and when I make appointments with workmen to come out and finish fixing the problems they don't come! I even sent an email to Rebecca Oubeck, Operations Manager with my continuing saga hoping that someone higher up might care that they have a very unsatisfied customer who keeps getting the run around and guess what she threw me right back to the person I've been dealing with for 5 months with litle satisfaction! To me this shows that customer service means very little even high up the food chain. Shouldn't you go out of your way to make that person happy, instead they make you feel like you are always at the bottom of their to-do list. I had held off writing a review to allow them to fix the problems and judge them based on the completed project but I'm beginning to believe that this is never going to happen and I want people to know about my experience! My best advice is go with someone else!

They were at the house when they said they would be and they were very professional. They completed the crawlspace in a couple hours and it looked really nice when they were done. We had been troubled by a dirty smell coming from our crawlspace under our familyroom for several years. FSM assured us that this process would cure the problem. The crawlspace is dry but smelled really bad and the smell would penetrate the house especially when we were gone and the house was shut up for even just a few days. It was very frustrating. We tried insulating and putting down a vapor barrier ourselves but nothing worked. We left home in January for 3 months and up until then we had had no smell. The real test will be when we get home. I will update this review then.

When the inspector came for our free inspection he was very professional and explained everything he was looking at to us. He gave us options and allowed us to choose what we thought best after giving his recommendation. He thought we might have a foundation issue so he had a supervisor come out later that week. Luckily we do not. They were honest when they might have been able to 'oversell more' and assured us our foundation is fine at the moment. They arrived on time. They were very polite and professional. A little over halfway through they invited me down to take a look at what had been done so far Put plenty of plastic down to protect floors and stairs. Put plastic up so that when they chopped the concrete up downstairs to install the new drain system the dust was at a minimum. Coordinated electrician and plumber. Very polite. Very courteous. Kept me up to date on what was going on. Walked through the area with me when they were finished and explained everything. Though we hated to have to spend that kind of money on a house we just bought (that the inspector should have caught before we bought - it was that obvious) I feel they were fair with us. They are very good and we would hire them again.

Very professional from sales, through customer service to installation and follow up. I now have peace of mind.

We have radiant floor heating, we expected the pipes in the floor to get damaged during the drainage system installation. There was no getting around it, and they did get damaged but not as bad as it could have been. FSM was very careful taking out the existing concrete so the damage was kept to a minimum and they had a plumber on call who repaired the damage. Overall, FSM did a great job

I recently purchased a home built in 1975 on a crawl space, the house was very humid and had a musty odor. I called in a few other companies for estimates before contacting FSM, then in early November an inspector, Dale, from FSM came out to my house. Dale was the only inspector who actually got in the crawl space, looked around, took pictures and thoroughly explained the issues to me and the appropriate steps to properly fix the issues I had. Once he completed the inspection, provided me with multiple options and his recommendation, went over financing options I signed the contract. He then proceeded to assist me with setting up the interest free financing provided through one of FSM partners. The estimate was a bit higher then other companies, but i quickly realized I was getting so much more, better materials, and a solution that would actually work and last. It was a simple decision for me and the financing was an added bonus. The next step was to setup the installation date where Kathy in the office assisted me with that and she also called me a few days before the installation date for a reminder. The day of the install a crew of three guys arrived around 9am, Garret the foreman explained the install process to me and they got right to work. The crew completed the install around 4pm, as Garret was completing the final cleanup I met him in the crawl space where he gave me a detailed explanation of the work that was completed. We then exited the crawl space and he completed the final walk through, check list, and went over a few maintenance tips for the sump pump. It has now been about a month since the work was completed and I am extremely satisfied with the results. The humidity has dropped, the musty smell is gone, and the floors are warmer. The inspector, office staff, and crew were very helpful, professional and courteous - I would highly recommend FSM and if I need more foundation/insulation work completed in the future they will definitely win my business.

The inspector, Dale, was prompt and professional on the day he came to give an estimate. He explained what he believed to be the problem and provided several options for repairs, with benefits and drawbacks of each. We agreed on a wall anchor system and scheduled a date for the work. On the agreed date a 3 man crew, led by Alex arrived on time. He put plastic down to cover my stairs and floors. Alex explained exactly what they would be doing. Encouraged me to observe the work and take pictures of the work in progress if desired, because it will all be covered when they finish. The crew did an excellent job and answered every questioned I had while they were working. When finished, Alex walked me through the entire job. Again answered all questions. They finished quicker than I or my wife thought they would. They cleaned up and left the work site clean. They could not replace the grass because it was December and cold. But that was explained before they started.

The crew came in laid down floor covering and were very polite and courteous got right to work and were done in one day. The crew leaders name was Ryan. He was very professional showed me exactly what they were going to do and showed me the finished job for my approval. I couldn't be more pleased with the results my house smells better and the floors are warmer I don't know why I waited so long to have this done.

We authorized and scheduled the work with one of FSM's sales representatives, who had originally inspected our crawlspace situation and provided us with a cost estimate for the project. Everything would have been perfect, except for his lack of responsiveness and follow-through on numerous followup details, which then required several phone calls to and from FSM office representatives from sales and accounting, who were all very nice, courteous and professional. When providing his original estimate, the sales representative also failed to include FSM's 10% senior citizen discount mentioned on their website, until I asked him about it. He then adjusted his proposal accordingly. Anyway, the work was eventually performed as originally scheduled, after a few reassuring reminder phone calls from the main office just to confirm that the work dates were still on our calendar. When another project resulted in a last-minute delay to the start of our project, the crew chief called to let us know that their arrival would be a few hours late, which we very much appreciated. Overall the installation crew did a fabulous job! They were friendly, professional, courteous, and responsive to our questions, and very respectful of our home and our landscaping. They did a great job with all the encapsulation prep and installation work, and end-of-the-day cleanup. The crew chief was very courteous and professional in explaining to me the work that was done, while also patiently answering my questions to ensure my satisfaction as we crawled around under the house inspecting their work upon its completion. It's been over a month now since the work was done, and we are very pleased with the project overall. The air seems cleaner in our house, our floors seem warmer, and we expect that we'll see reduced heating/air conditioning costs over time. It was an expensive project, but we think it will be a worthwhile investment in the long run.

Got the quote in late August, inspector was very professional and knowledgable. Hired them that day (had already gotten 2 other quotes, they weren't the cheapest but were competitive especially when I added the encapsulation). Had to wait almost 2 months for the work because they were backlogged - this was not an emergency situation. On the morning of the install the crew foreman called as they were leaving their shop and gave an ETA. Crew showed up on time and got right to work: Reviewed the job details with me and introduced the crew Guys laid down protective plastic leading up to the crawl space access (inside the house). Guys taped up sheeting to prevent dust from entering the rest of that room Went in the crawl and bagged up all the old insulation, debris, and the plastic sheeting that I had laid down Built temporary support walls on both sides of the beam Installed four smart jacks replaced the beam in sections (access point is limited, steel beam installed in 3 sections) Installed new insulation on the wall between the joists Installed foil backed foam insulation on the block walls installed a heavy vinyl(?) vapor barrier on the ground, taped every single seam and glued/caulked the joints at the walls Popped a vent into one of the heating ducts to condition the air Removed all the trash from the house, removed the protective barriers Did a final check of the floors and adjusted the jacks to level them out They were very professional. Answered questions, asked them when needed. In and out in 10 hours! Crawl space has no smell now and is so clean - I like going in there now! Would use FSM again and recommend to anyone.

The foundation and slab are sinking. We found this provider on Angies list, and thru a referral. We called, made an appointment and the inspector was on time and thorough. He checked every crack inside and out, drew up plans, gave us alternative suggestions and presented us with a bid for his services. We are still reviewing his offer against another firm. We still need more information. However, based on what they did, estimate, we were very satisfied.

The provider came out, diagnosed the problem, promised a written estimate via email and never delivered. I placed several follow-up calls and never received a written estimate. To add insult to injury, the company kept calling me after the appointment in an attempt to schedule the appointment that had already taken place. Very unorganized and unprofessional. 12/15/13 - Member provided a response that someone would contact me "soon" regarding the problems I had. Nearly a month later, no one has contacted me. This cements my opinion..... very unprofessional, no follow-through and no regard for the customer.

. The only draw back is that they are so busy - I can't get an appointment until Feburary - other wise I would have rated an A.

The work was scheduled within a week of meeting with the service rep. The crew completed the job within an hour of their arrival. They were very knowledgeable and professional. I'm happy with the repair. I just wish they would have given me an approximate start time on the day of the repair.

This was our third experience with FSM. We called them in 2010 to look at water leaking in our prior home. At that time we were not overly impressed. We did feel pressured and my husband hates that. When we were having problems in our new home one of our friends at church recommended the company. We gave them another shot but asked for the same salesman our friends had used. I'm glad we did. Russell T was greatly informative and knowledgeable. We needed our wall supported and he took the time to really explain what needed to be done and why. We had two other companies over and it just seemed like they wanted to sell us "A" fix with FSM we knew we had the fix. The job went off without a hitch and other then a small dent in the wall we couldn't have been happier the crew was great. We had Russell T out to our daughters home and she and her husband we equally impressed with him and FSM.

The crew was very professional in the way they did the work. All the work was done very well.

Everything went as planned. Only problem was the people they reccomended for concrete work were not good.

There were two days scheduled for the outside work and one day for the lifing of the interior floor and each had a different crew. The exterior work crew arrived right on time. The first day was the digging of the trench around the the house foundation on the corner that was sinking. I was not happy when the crew demolished 3 foot round pavers, instead of putting them to the side for me to reuse. By the same token they were careful to take out my three large hydrangias and they replanted them succesfully when they were done. While digging the trench where the peirs need to go in they broke the main water line and my back yard was a mushy mess. At least they pumped the water away from the house as to not cause any more damage or leaking into my basement. The piers were installed and the dirt was back filled. The area on my patio where the concrete was repored was not done well. Its already chipping and crumbling. The very heavy excavator that was on my patio during the dirt removal around my house for the trench left the concrete uneven and a tripping hazard. When they tried to fix it by slab jacking it mad a minor difference but its still unsitly with the cracking and chunks of concrete that are coming off. The last straw was when the team leader left me a customer satisfaction survey and made it very clear that a good rating would get them a bonus. I didnt need to know that. The interior work was much more satisfactory. They only took half of the time alloted and were very willing to explain the details to me.I was very happy that the interior floor was returned to its original hight and the cracks were closed as well as the gap from the floor to the baseboard trim.

I loved the presentation and it all made sense, but the price gave me sticker shock.

They were here right at 8:30 a.m. the time they told us. They were the cleanest best group of men that worked as a team like I have not seen in a long time. They were all friendly and hard workers and got the job done in just about 2 hours... Fantastic ... So impressed with how they taped plastic over everything from ceiling to floor so no mess when they jack hammered the cement floor out. They cleaned up everything if it weren't for the wet cement which was done very neatly you would never know they were here. I would highly recommend this company.

Felt pressured to make a decision right then and there. Were told by sales person that the did not have any competition...not true. After emailing back and forth found out a few "extras" that would not be covered under the orginal quote.
