Description of Work: Took out dead portions of my 45 year old willow tree, balanced it with trimming - and thank goodness they did - otherwise my tree would not have survived the ice storm of 2013. They also removed overgrown shrubs and bushes, ground out stumps, and removed all the debris. Also trimmed a couple other trees and crazy, overgrown lilac bushes. Yard looked great and none of the shrubs or bushes came back in the spring (that is a good thing).

I thought their price was very reasonable and they did the job when promised. I needed the job done right away because my garage roof was being replaced the week after. They were able to perform the work without me being home and sent me an invoice to pay by mail. A great professional job!

+ -1 moreTree removal was ok, it told longer than expected and they had to come back and left 12 foot parts of the trees over the weekend. They caused some minor damage to the property, but I did not complain. The stump removal was the part I was not happy about from the beginning. The person started and stopped a couple of times and had to return. He also would not go down far enough to get all the wood/stump/large roots. I had to continue asking him to do a better job. I've had nothing but problems with my lawn since. When I called out the mgr. a few months ago, he refused to do anything to correct the problem and said I would just have to live with it. This problem can go on for 10 yrs or so.
Description of Work: Have been a long time customer with tree trimming. Had 3 large trees removed and the stumps grind down. The 35' silver maple's stump was not grind down correctly, too much is left a few inches from the surface. Hundreds of mushrooms are growing over a 15 ft area. I've spent a couple of hundred dollars already and nothing has worked. I dug down and there is a lot of wood from the stump and roots. It's very unsightly and for $1,900.00, I did not get a satisfactory job. Only removing the rest of the stump/large roots with stop this problem. When the mgr. came out this summer he told me that they would not do anything to correct the problem and I would have to just live with it and that his company would stand behind his decision. I've tried a few more things, spent more money, but no success. This can go on for many years until the wood rots away.

+ -1 moreThey put in a garden in my back yard, but they had to great deal grading and regarding and building up the sewer system. They were very expensive, but they an excellent job. I also had them treat some of my trees. They were professional, responsive and punctual.

A problem with their billing dept, in which they don't match the contract with the bill, and if one wants only part of the services, they often go by the original estimate and do more than requested, and then bill for the whole thing, some of which you didn't want. That has been a recurring hassle. The service otherwsie is good, with competent people.

+ -1 moreBoth times the arborists came out they were extremely knowledgeable and honest and did not try to sell me anything. They identified some mystery trees for me, let me know the ones I was concerned about were OK and when to check on them again, advised on when to fertilize and trim, and didn't charge me a dime. I don't know how they manage to pay the bills! Will definitely use them when it comes time to fertilize and trim the trees.

Trimmed up the dead and broken branches off of another one and chipped up all debris and raked up the rest leaving nothing behind. Stump of tree that was removed was left cut down to grade as requested.

+ -1 moreThis gentleman and his crew were very professional and very punctual. We also loved the way they cleaned up after they finished the fertilizing. They looked over the trees free of charge before commencing the work. We no longer have this bug problem proving the excellent quality and representation of this company.
Description of Work: They sprayed 11 trees for some type of bug that was causing the needles to fall profusely and they sprayed my crab apple tree for bugs as well. Then they fertilized 15 white pines using a digging tool to plant the fertilizer deep into the ground near the roots. The entire job took a full day to complete.
