We like them. They are not cheap, but they do good work so it’s worth it. They are very knowledgeable and they get certified. They come when they say they are going to come. They just were very timely and I love that. I think they are all expensive for what we want. The quality is excellent. They are coming again this spring to take care of one of our trees.

I felt they were the most knowledgeable in this area about trees.

They are going to come in the spring for tree treatment as well. We have been using their services since 1965 and we are very happy with their services. We are very satisfied with them. They are a little expensive, but you get what you pay for. When they leave, you can't even tell there were there as they clean up all tree trimmings and branches. They go above and beyond what you pay them for.

They certainly did the work. BUT they were here less than an hour and the only equipment I saw were a rake and a chain saw. They left two of the trees, (two apples) with the roots heaved up and looking pretty terrible. I was stunned when I got the bill for five hundred dollars. Don't think even our lawyer charges 500 an hour...

We had a snow storm that caused broken branches in our ornamental trees and trees that actually came down. Contacted Smith Tree (who also takes care of our lawn service ie: herbicide, fertilization, etc.) and got an estimate for the work to be done. Because there was so much storm damage in the area, we were not expecting a quick turn around on the work, but they were able to come during a warm spell in Michigan and pruned and removed the trees in about an hours time. They raked and cleaned up the area when they were done. They also took my input on how I wanted the ornamental trees trimmed. We were pleased with the quality of the work done and thought that the cost was very reasonable.

They had been around for a long time and we had been their customer before. In terms of price, they were a little bit pricey. I would use their services again in the future if needed.

They have always treated me well; I have used them for over 20 years. I like the work they do and I think their prices are fair. I will use them again in the future. I am on a yearly service contract with them and they are always punctual and return any inquiring calls I make.

They carried out total care for the year. My experience with them has been very good. They are pricey.

They were good but fantastically overpriced. The price was absolutely ridiculous but they are the only company in town that treats our trees like they needed to be done. We would probably use them again.

They showed up very promptly and did a great job. One of my neighbors videotaped the entire thing and sent it over to me, so I could see how well they did. They were amazingly punctual. Everything was professional and well done. They actually went flat on the price. I would use their services again in the future if I need to.

Out of everyone that I had out for the bids they were not the cheapest but not the most expensive either and they were very knowledgeable. Also, I had recommendations for them from five other people. They provided a bid that was dead on. They worked with our budget. They were here right at the beginning of both of their service windows for the bid and the work. I would hire them in a heartbeat to do work in the future.

They have always done really well and they have a certified arborist on staff that is always willing to answer questions and explain things. The specialist will look at some trees and get us diagnostics about whether the trees are sick and what the best way to treat them is. I will use them again in the future.

They arrived almost exactly when they said they would, had me show exactly what needed to be done, then got to work. They did an excellent job, and were quick and efficient. When they were all done I didn't even find a twig leftover in either of the areas they were working.

It was a good experience. They did a very good job. They were quick at doing the job and cleaned up everything. The price was average.

They come to fertilize me trees and grass. They trim all my bushes and trees. He is removing some beds and planting grass now. They are expensive but you get what you pay for. They are wonderful.

My last contact with this company was in October 2009. The stump grinding in my opinion was not completed as per acceptable industry standards. Several areas were left within 1? to 3? of the surface. As a result, hundreds and hundreds of mushrooms come up every single year since the job was completed, mainly in the east side of the front yard. There have been mushrooms coming up where the other two trees were removed but not enough to complain about. They even did some minor damage to the garage siding while removing one tree, but I didn?t complain about that or the minor damage they did to some landscaping timbers, I informed the manager that I would just take care of it myself since he didn?t offer to do anything about it. I work hard to keep a well kept yard and this mushroom problem is really an eye sore. I have now spent over $500.00 to fix the problem with finally some limited success after three years of hard work, digging by hand, removing and replacing yards and yards of dirt, applying fungicides, but it?s been a constant battle. I?m afraid I will have to hire another company to take care of the problem at it?s source and have the remaining parts of the stumps removed since they have not decayed very much. I had asked this company twice to fix the problem and finish the grinding and they refused and blamed it on me and that I would just have to live with it, even though we agreed that this could go on for 10 years or more; this from their field manager. I filed a complaint with the BBB, supplied pictures and a detailed account, however this sorry Western Michigan chapter accepted a $75.00 offer from the owner and when I refused, sided with this company and closed the file. The behavior of this company in my opinion is deplorable, and demonstrates a very poor example of good customer relations. You don?t treat a good customer this way.

Went well, cleaned up after themselves and so on. They did mulch where some deer eaten shrubs had been, but the mulch was on the thin side. Otherwise, their work was fine, and they are very responsive. I can't judge the price since I'm new to the area and don't know what the 'going rate' would be for similar service.

It went very well. They cut down a tree, cut down several hedges and then ground all the stumps for me. It was actually a tripartite service. I spent about $700. It was 2 separate payments. They were very punctual. It did not take them long at all. They came and did an estimate and I agreed to it. Immediately, I was mailed a contract. I signed it and mailed it in and they were already here. They came and cut everything down. Two days later they returned to grind the stumps. I thought that was quick and I liked it. I will use this company in the future.

They arrive when they say they will (unless the weather prevents) work hard, men are polite, quick and competent. No complaints. Clean up after work is done. Estimates are accurate and solutions to lawn problems work.

They quoted around $150 for the service. They were very professional. We were having trouble with an oak tree. They came out, looked at it, and gave us their recommendations. We didn?t have any problems with them. Their price was a little on the higher side. They were expensive, but good. We will definitely consider them in the future.

We have used Smith Tree for over three years to preserve our Pine trees that were hit with needlecast disease. Through thier feritlization and pesticide treament, we were able to save the trees and maintain critical privacy in our backyard. Very professional and responsive. Will continue to use for many years to come. They were also very honest about which trees we would try to save and which one's were past saving and thus helped save us money in the long run .
