Diagnosis and treatment of the maple trees appears to have been accurate, i.e. manganese deficiency and treatment with manganese. The trees had produced yellowed, sickly-looking leaves for two years and are now green, lush and they appear to be healthy. The trimming of the trees and bushes was satisfactory. (I will definitely consider using this company again in the near future for additional tree and bush trimming.) The company provided prompt and courteous service. Also, when I called with concerns, my concerns were addressed timely and professionally.

They are doing a good job. The downside was, they did not notify us when they sprayed which was stated in the contract that we signed given the proximity of the tree to our neighbor’s house. They did not leave any notifications for our neighbors that they will come.

The spraying was completed without any problems (like overspray, etc.).

Came and removed all limbs and carted them away--left no mess and arrived on time.

They replaced the tree with a very nice white pine. The tree looks very nice and they did a very nice job of planting it

We have used Smith Tree & Landscape since 2004. We initially used them to trim a large number of trees. We use them on an annual basis to treat any diseased trees. They are competent, friendly, on time, competitively priced, and do what they say they will do when they say they will do it. We would recommend them unconditionally.

They have always been dependable and come out to answer questions if I need it. Very professional and responsive to my needs. They are a little expensive on some services, I think, but when it comes to the health of a tree, it's worth it to have someone I trust who won't prescribe more than is needed as I think some lawn services mights do. I highly recommend them. I have been using them for many years.

We have had several experiences with Smiths Tree and Landscape and they have all been positive. They have an arborist named Jeff who has consulted with us about our trees and has overseen tree trimming for us. Also he has arranged to feed or spray trees that needed help. He is very accessible and allows us to ask as many questions as we want. He offers suggestions and recommendations, and tells us what Smiths can do, but there is no hard sell. They have other people who sell trees and shrubs who are also helpful. Sometimes we have called and ordered specific plants that we want for a specific place, but in our most recent encounter, we asked their landscaper to design a plan for us. She then met with us to talk about it and revised it according to our response. Two weeks later her staff came to plant the things we had agreed on. It rained that day and they worked all day in the rain. They checked with us regularly about the placements to make sure it was how we wanted it. The quality of the plants we have purchased has ALWAYS been top notch. I suspect Smiths is more expensive than other landscape services but have never done comparison shopping. I like them because I know I won't get a hard sell, I know the plants will be high quality, and I know the workmanship will be first rate as well. All the people we have interacted with have been courteous and thoughtful in their interactions with us as well as neat and thorough in the work itself.

They dug out 4 dying trees on my property line, then created an edged bed that is approximately 50' long and 6' wide, and then planted all the above trees, shrubs and plants. Then they finished the bed with a layer of mulch. They came when they said they would. The landscape designer was here to make sure the trees were planted in key places. Two hard-working men then completed the work in 95+ degree heat. The result looks great! It provides a lovely barrier between my property and a close-by neighbor. It was quite expensive but I love the outcome!

The price is very reasonable and good. We continue to use them because we like them. Their billing is very good. We usually get billed at the beginning of the year. If we get billed at the beginning of the year, we get discounts and stuff. Their quality is very good.

The initial consultation with Dana sold me immediately. He was knowledgeable and provided me with a lot of advice and information. He came up with a treatment plan and provided me with options regarding "green" and normal products and explained what the advantages and disadvantages would be. The workers that came to actually perform the treatment were friendly, professional, thorough, and fast. When I had some questions about the aeration results, they sent a worker back to check to make sure everything was OK?at no cost! Yes, they're more expensive than other providers in the area, but I believe in this case you get what you pay for. Decades of experience in the area and the latest research and techniques in lawn care. I was extremely impressed. I should probably mention that the lawn is looking better every day, too. :)

They do a good job. They are a good company and are quite responsive.

they brought down hanging damaged tree without damaging fence, nor ground--right equipment for job. later after freeze brought down another tree on our and neighbor's property, again professional and precise. they forgot to trim one tree which was on original estimate, so that took another visit. good interactions, best estimate, quality work.

Went well. Good advice. Have used before. Dates and dollars are approximate.

This company has always provided excellent work and this job was no different. The review included answering any questions I had. They were very honest about the prognosis of one of the trees and my attempt to save it. The men arrived on time and explained what they would be doing. At one point, they needed to gain access to one tree via my neighbors drive. They were very respectful and patient as I went to ask my neighbors approval.Before they left, they explained that the stump removal required a different unit and would be done within the next few days. That is exactly what happened. I returned home one day and found the stump was gone and the area was level and clean as could be. It's really nice to be able to trust that the job will be done as explained and that the estimated cost will be equal to or less than the final cost.

They called me after 10 days of my initial request for an estimate, and only after I called them twice.So far so good (!), this is where it gets surreal. The person who called (who has been with the company for 15 years, and I think owns the business) wanted to know the names and quotes of all the other service providers I had called for this job! His reason: he practices "honest" business, and would not quote unless I am in market for "good or higher-grade" services. He claimed that he chooses the customers, and not the other way around! I had gotten estimates from other companies (rated equally high on Angie's List) for the same job; and was unwilling to share them. Eventually, he declined to provide an estimate as the company had already made a bad impression on me (calling late and then making strange demands). I'm not sure if this is a new marketing technique or a standard practice with this company, I found it extremely annoying. I'll never ever use or recommend them.

Two man crew was prompt, inspected the tree and determined the best spot to install cable brace and how to prune and shape the tree. They prunned and shaped, and installed the cable brace. The tree looks much better. They cleaned up all debris, raked the yard, chipped all the debris and cleaned the drive when done. They did a fantantic job...and in very hot conditions. I was very pleased with the job and so glad I called the company!

The arborist arrived on the scheduled date. He was knowledgeable and thorough. He looked at my ailing crabapple in the front yard and suggested things I could do myself right away. Then he suggested having it sprayed next spring. He also looked at a couple redbuds in my back yard that are not as healthy as they used to be. He suggested fertilizing in the fall. About a week later, I received his complete written assessment and estimated costs in the mail. The prices were very reasonable. There was no charge for his diagnosis. I will certainly be using them in the future.

They know what they are doing and they use environmentally friendly products. But they are expensive.

They were always very good. They knew what they were doing, unlike myself because I tried to trim a tree which didn't turn out to be nice.

I called to get a quote for having some stumps removed. This company did not do stump removal but they gave me the name of someone who does and he was EXCELLENT! I was very impressed with their willingness to help even though they were not receiving my business. They even asked me to call back if I had a hard time getting a hold of the person they recommended. A class act.

Overall, my experience with this company is mixed. I am very pleased with the lawn service they are providing - fertilization, seeding, and weed control. The price is good and the technician is excellent. He is very professional, knows his stuff, and is meticulous with the work he does.
