Description of Work: Bees were coming into the house under the side door threshold and had built a nest inside. When I called I got an immediate response. Trever came within half an hour. He was very through in his treatment even going around the complete perimeter of the house before he left. He was also very helpful in explaining what he did and why. I would definitely call this company again

Description of Work: Something was biting me in the night, and I feared it was bed bugs. A very nice man came out and did a very thorough investigation. He even asked me to haul my suitcase up, that I had recently used, and did a thorough once over of it. He said I could be about 90% certain it wasn't bed bugs, but if I wanted to pay more for trained beagles to come in to do the sniff test, they had a couple of dogs. He was very professional and knowledgeable, and I felt assured afterwards that it wasn't bed bugs, but probably ants.

Description of Work: The person who comes to the house is terrific. The people on the phone seem o have difficulty setting service times and getting messages accurately. However this is by far the very best pest control that I have experienced - both quality and price.

Description of Work: I called Rose Pest ahead of time and talked with the staff over the phone. They were friendly and knowledgeable, and ultimately this is what helped me choose Pest over another company. The technician who came out to the house was very courteous and talked with me about my concerns (carpenter ants). I felt like he really cared about getting the ants out of my house, and he even went the extra mile to make sure none of the chemicals would be anywhere near by young kids. I would definitely use them again in the future and recommend them.

+ -1 moreWe had an ant problem in the home. They sent a person to assess the need, and then the actual service person about 10 days later. I did call on that tenth day to see when they were coming out because we hadn't heard from them and they came the same day.

+ -1 moreIn total this was a first-class operation. There was no sale pressure that I had anticipated from the prior company. They took the time to confirm what was the actual nature of my problem and the extent of it.
Description of Work: I thought we had a reoccurrence of Carpenter ants that we first had treated by a nationally advertised company. We elected to try Rose since the other company had us buy an annual service and then attempted to continue and collect for it without our approval. The representative for Rose, Paul, came to our home and examined the piles of sawdust and continued to look for Carpenter ants. He eventually confirmed after examining areas in and out of the house that we did not have Carpenter ants but Acrobat ants that also leave piles of sawdust. In retrospect they were the same size ants that the nationally advertised firm had called Carpenter ants. Paul told us that we did not need a lengthy full service agreement. We only needed an application on the areas that he had identified (he found some that I missed). We would then have a second inspection and retreated if necessary in 30 days. The total cost was $165 compared to the $490 we had previously paid to treat bogus Carpenter ants. The service technician who came Robert was experienced, knowledgable and thorough. He took the time to explain and answer questions. He returned after 30 day to check and confirm that the applications had been effective. .

+ -1 moreDiscovered an ant problem in several rooms in my house (main level and basement) that just wouldn't go away when I sprayed. Called Rose and they came out promptly and investigated the problem. The areas were sprayed and baited. He also set several mouse traps in the basement. I was told that if I didn't see an improvement (less ants) in a month to call and they would return to treat the area again. I did, in fact, need to call again and they returned to retreat. The fee I paid may seem like a lot but it was a yearly fee which includes coming back in the spring to spray for wasp and hornet nests at all the peaks and windows around my house. (I have a very big house.) No limit to the number of return applications needed to get rid of the pests inside or outside. Great value, good people and I don't have to get on a 12 foot ladder.

+ -1 moreHe did an amazing job. This was much more than a free quote, that's why I say they performed a service. He did not charge us a dime for the quote, but spent 30-45 minutes carefully examining all of the dust in the corners and then climbed up into the attic through a tiny porthole, got full of insulation dust (yuck!) and thoroughly examined the attic. He found no traces of ants. And then he charged us absolutely nothing. We really wanted to reimburse them for his time and getting his clothes so dirty, but he said it was a free quote and that was their policy. I really pressured him to accept money and he said if we absolutely want to give something, to make a donation to the Lansing City Rescue mission. I did that and donated $50. Great service. I will definitely recommend Rose Pest Solutions to any neighbor if they have problems.

They also talked to us about what to look for and what's going on outside of our house. They even made recommendations for the future, which was all helpful. If we need it, we would use them again.
