Lane's Appliance Repair

I have had Lane's out to my house before and they've done a great job for me at a fair and reasonable price. My daughter thought it was a good idea to cram probably 3 loads of laundry into my washing machine. I suppose it's not a surprise that it stopped working. I called Lane's and they came out, tested the machine, determined it needed a new belt and replaced it. We have a below the counter U-Line refrigerator in our basement that was not working properly. They cleaned the condenser and fixed the alignment on the door. Problem solved.

The company responded promptly to my call for service and set up a date and time within the week. Technician arrived ahead of schedule (after calling to see if that was OK) and immediately diagnosed and fixed the problem (which was actually a problem with water hoses as opposed to washer). Technician was courteous and professional and even tried to be very quiet because my 1-year-old was napping nearby.

He's great, honest and knows what he is doing.

He was kind and efficient. He was direct and clear in describing the problem. He got the machine working again, but acknowledged it might not be for long, but it may work for awhile. He told me what my options were, but didn't pressure me at all to choose one.

Had Lane's Repair out to look at a dishwasher issue. Was very prompt in scheduling and right on time. Found problem within first few minutes. Pointed out a potential problem with counter top because of the dishwasher problem..liked that. Discussed cost to replace panel that was damaged but also told me that because of design of the dishwasher the original problem would not be resolved. Was honest when I asked him if he thought replacing the unit itself was a good next move. Cost of service call was half of what I had been quoted by others companies.

Lane's had been referred to me by a coworker who knew Walt. Our washer had stopped working in the middle of the wash cycle, and I didn't know how to fix it. Our garbage disposal had also coincidentally stopped working at the same time. My coworker gave Walt my number and he called me and set up a time to come out, which happened to be same day. He discovered our washer needed a new pump, which was $140 in parts and that we needed a new garbage disposal because ours was as old as crust. That ended up costing $110 in parts. So, if you subtract $140 + $110 from $350, the service was only $100. That's not bad for two tasks! Apparently putting a new pump in a Frigidaire washer is not fun or easy, and it took him an hour. Walt was very nice, funny, and cleaned up after himself. He told me he sincerely appreciated the business and offered to look at my leaky dishwasher in the future and said he could recommend some good brands/models if I wanted to buy a new one (which I said I might go ahead and do instead of fixing the leak). I would call them again for any repair job in the future!

I left a message over the weekend that was returned FIRST THING Monday morning. They sent out a repairman later that same day!!! And my washer works great. Fee was reasonable and the repairman was very friendly and professional. I will use them for all my future appliance repair. I'm very happy with the experience.

We have Jeremy coming to the repair our washer. He was right on time. He checked the problem in the washer and was able to fix in few minutes. He just charged us for the visit. I will call them again. They seem a very good company.

He was prompt on both appointments and left the laundry area clean. He also advised me on the washing machine spin cycle noise and said it sounded like a bearing beginning to wear and to start saving for a new washing machine, since the repair would be quite expensive.

He is not afraid to tell you when the time has come, when it is NOT worth it to keep repairing something--when it is better off buying something new. I think $75 is their base price just to come to the house and spend an hour. This guy came the very next morning after I called. He figured out right away what was wrong and fixed it. He also showed us how it worked and what to watch for if there were future problems. Then we asked him some questions about our refridgerator and he talked with us about that for a while as well. So he not only fixed the broken item but educated us a bit about both of these items. Very helpful.

I thought the price was very fair. He probably spent 30 minutes on it. He tried everything. He was very honest. He explained to me why he could not repair it. He said that if there's anything wrong with any appliance, I would call him again.

Arrived at appointed time, replaced defective part diagnosed during initial visit. Total time approx. 30 min. Good Job!

They were great. They came out the same day that we had the problem, were reasonably priced, prompt, courteous, and conscientious of their shoes.

The repairman was named Abraham. He was really nice and took a lot of time to complete the work. He did a good job.

The repair was quick and neat. Parts were tested before Abraham left. My experienced Maytag is back in service.
