Description of Work: They determined that there was a leak in the bladder of our tank and replaced the tank. We also needed parts replaced on the pump so they had to dig around the well head and replace parts. They did an overall great job for us!

They came out a day after the frost freeze and drove up through the yard and started digging up the front yard. They were really good people. They had bedrock and shatters of driveshaft; so they couldn’t do any more work. They came back the next day, completely ridiculous time, just so they can put on the new driveshaft for the whole 9 yards. They were here at 3 o’clock in the morning putting this on and then caught me a break at the end. They were absolutely wonderful people. Their price was $2000 cheaper than anybody near me. I was calling around and everybody in my area wanted $2000 to $3000 more. My neighbor, who is a gardener contractor, told me about these guys. They are from Mason which is pretty far from me. I called them up and they had to get special permits to drive it from Mason to our house. Since our circumstances, I have 3 young children and we didn’t have water, they waved the fees and got here as soon as they could. They got on us right then and there, and put other people back to get to us. Those are good folks.
Description of Work: I had a well dug by Dyer Well Drilling & Service, Inc. in December of last year.

Siding contractor backed over our well pipe. This sheared it off at the well head. Dyer responded immediately once we discovered there was a problem and came back the very next morning to perform the needed work. Excellent customer service! The servicemen were knowledgeable, kind, and professional. Will definitely use this company again for all well related issues!!!!

Our pump would not start. We called Dyer Friday afternoon and they responded Saturday morning and diagnosed the problem as the pump. Not surprising as it was original in 1978. Dyer offered to respond Friday evening but we had to be away from the house that evening, so they came first thing on Satuday morning. In 1 1/2 hours the job of pulling the old pump, replacing it, chlorinating the system, and restoring service was complete. Chris was totally professional and considerate of our home and lawn and explained every step of the process. In the 25 years we have owned our home this is the third time we have called on Dyer for service: pressure tank, pressure switch, and now pump. On each occassion, spread over many years, the service has been punctual, professional, and reasonably priced. We would not hesitate to call on Dyer Well Drilling and Service again.

When we called (on a Sunday), they walked through what our symptoms were to determine if it was a problem related to our well, or our softener. It was determined that it was possibly both. We scheduled an appointment for the following day, since we were only a couple of miles from their facility, they made us their first stop. They were in and out of our home in just over an hour. Took out the old tank and replaced it with a new one, as well as a new pressure switch.
Description of Work: Changed a well water tank and put in a new switch.

See above. Everything went well.
Description of Work: On Sunday my water pressure disappeared. I called Dyer because they had replaced my holding tank some five years before. The gentleman said he was out on a call but would come by to take a look. He was there in half an hour and diagnosed the problem as a hole in the galvanized pipe in the well. His crew was out Monday morning. When they pulled the pipe, there was the hole. Since the well was over 30 years old I asked them to replace the pump while they were at it. The whole job took less than three hours. I would use them again.

It went very well. No surprises. Matched estimate for work. Professional and did good job on cleanup after excavation.
Description of Work: Excavate wellhead, install pitless adapter to bring well up to Michigan Code. This well "upgrade" is required by Ingham County in the event of a sale, even though our existing well and pump provided excellent flow and water passed all tests.

At 8:3o Monday morning his crew arrived. They explained the procedure, told us it would take about 3 hours, and set to work. They explained that it would damage the lawn, but that it was unavoidable. They set to work with their excavator, found the connection to the house, then climbed down in the hole and replaced the rusted pipe with brass. They showed me the pipe with the hole in it. They replaced all iron parts with brass. They were very courteous and explained things to me as they proceeded. Then they disinfected our system with chlorine.Following completion one of them went down to our basement and checked out our pressure tank and swithces and explained what we needed to do about the chlorine as regards our water softener and septic tank. They completed the job in just about three hours.
Description of Work: Saturday morning, the day after Christmas, I saw that our water pump had a sizable stream of water flowing up and over the ground. I called Dyer Well Drilling and spoke to Mike Dyer. He recognized the situation. Pumps installed prior to 1985 used galvanized iron pipe, which would rust in time and leak. He said they would replace all fittings with brass, and it wouldn't hurt to run the pump when we needed to. He agreed to perform the service Monday.

They responded quickly even though this was a time of weather emergencies. Mr. Dyer facilitated the quick response of the utility company to mark the placement of the underground services. The men worked in very muddy conditions. 2 men worked together to provide safety in the trench. They didn't damage any other utilities. They preserved landscaping as well as could be expected. They worked steadily and successfully fixed the leak. They replaced the dirt into the trench as well as they could--it settles with time. They were as clean as they could be.
Description of Work: The service was to repair an outside leak coming from the ground at my wellhead. They diagnosed the problem and described what they would have to do to uncover the cause. When the ground was opened to expose the source of the leak, it was exactly as they had expected. They told me that corrosion had destroyed the plumbing fitting because it was galvanized pipe commonly used at the time of construction--1985. I think this material choice was not good even if it was common at the time of the original work.
