This was a wonderful experience. When I called to make an appointment, I said I needed hinges for the oven door and gave all the information. Then I called back and said I would rather have them check the hinges before they ordered them. They did need replacement and because I said I wasn't in a hurry and they could order when they had a few more things to order, when the order came in 2-3 days later, they offered to install them on the week-end. That was just more service than I could handle so we scheduled for the following Monday. These people are so great that they took apart all sections of the door so I could wash the glass. Unbelievable difference in the way the oven bakes now and I can use my convection again. Father and son are a great pair and I would recommend them to everyone. And I would recommend their ethics and professionalism to many of the companies that deal with the public.

On time, very nice guy, explained how to fix a few things if they happen again. Said the switch is guaranteed a year and he would fix it for free if before. Will call him again for any appliance I have problems with. Not just a 9-5pm guy. Came at later time which was good for me.

Rob was quite punctual and professional. He has done work for us before and we find him to be honest, knowledgeable and thorough. We will continue to use Dick's Appliance in the future.

Dick's from Angie's List. Exceeded our expectations! I had made a call to Sears for repair as we purchased the appliance @ Sears. They gave me a 3 1/2 day wait with a $95.00 service call, minimum. I tried Dick's. Our freezer was fixed by the Dick's repairman/owner within 6 hours, Not days, hours! The charge? $70.00. Sears sucks! Dick's rocks!

Fulfilled my expectations for timeliness and affordability.

I phoned him at 5PM on Monday, and he was at the house at 11 am the next day right on his promised schedule. Diagnosed and repaired the dryer in about 45 minutes. He inspected the rest of the dryer and said that it is good for quite a few more years. The price seemed completely fair, and he didn't try to sell me anything extra. I would certainly use him again, rather than try some other company.

We have a side-by-side freezer and one day our ice container melted and yet there were frozen ice cycles at the bottom of the freezer. I set the temperature as high as it would go, thinking that would take care of the problem. The next day, same ting. it was not cooling the top part of freezer. I looked at Angie's list for large appliance services, and found Dick's, with a good rating. I then called around 2 pm, was not able to come that same day, but promised to come the next dat at 10am. Which he did and immediately diagnosed the problem - the fan which circulates the cold air up to the top of the side-by-side freezer, had stopped. He returned the next day, and replaced the fan, and all was working well.

It went great! My 28 year old Whirlpool washer was vibrating excessively during spin cycles. I called them at 9:30am and although I wasn't expecting it, I got same-day service for 2pm. They called about 40 minutes before 2 to verify the appointment and were here promptly at 2. The repair guy was friendly, personable, and neat, putting slippers on inside the house since the pavement was wet and covered with crap from the trees. He started the washer up to see what it was doing, then took it apart and looked it over. He thought the machine needed leveling and proceeded to do that, then turned the spin cycle back on and the problem was fixed! He put the machine back together, tested it again and no problem. I had forgotten that the top part of the agitator was loose and hadn't mentioned it when I called for service. But while he was finishing up, I remembered it and asked him if he could fix that, too, and he did. He went over the bill with me and I thought the charge was very reasonable. He was done in about 40 minutes.

I called a couple of days in advance and set an appt for them to take a look at my dryer. I explained it was heating but not spinning. Appointment was set for 5:00 and he arrived a few minutes early which I appreciate. I'm not a fan of people arriving late. He was quick to assess the problem and do the repair. He was personable, knowledgeable and I felt safe with him in my home. I will definitely call them for all appliance repairs in the future. I'm very fussy about who I let in my house so it's been great to find a company I can trust!

They're awesome. They first came out told me there was a problem with it and the part was really expensive. But we had an old broken washing machine and they were able to use the part from that to fix it. We just had to pay for labor. It was awesome. They know what they're doing. They presented themselves very nicely.

After diagnosis, the technician gave me an estimate to repair the machine which included both parts and labor. The estimated repair cost was more than I wanted to pay and, instead, I decided to purchase a new washing machine.

He tried to fix the dryer but after a couple of trips he advised that it was better to replace it than to fix it. He was very honest and he noticed an issue with our washer, and he fixed it too.

I called early this afternoon to have them check whether my washer could be fixed, or needed replacement. They got me on their schedule for this same afternooon (late afternoon). Sadly, the washer needs a new transmission (he showed me how he knew this) and would cost as much to repair as to replace. The repairman was super nice, down to earth, friendly, and we got to chatting as he worked (BTW young enough to be my kid if not grandkid so don't get the wrong idea). We talked about how all the appliances are 22 years old. With utterly *no* pressure he asked if I wanted him to take a look at the dryer for preventive maintenance purposes, since I'd already be charged a service call anyway. He made a minor repair on that (showing me clearly why it would increase longevity, but saying it wouldn't break immediately and if I wanted to wait that was fine). As I was writing the check for the service, we were still talking about the other appliances, and I mentioned that I was planning to replace the stove due to problems with the oven. When I described them, he said "it's probably just the igniter; if it is that would be around $80 for the part" (and still the same service call charge), again saying he wasn't trying to pressure me (and I didn't feel pressured at all). So, he checked that out, demonstrated that it was the igniter, and replaced that, too (showing me afterwards what the correctly-functioning one looked like, and the difference was clear/dramatic). So, super nice, very helpful, showing me clearly in each case why he was doing what he did, and offering more service but not applying pressure. He had all the necessary parts on his truck, no hassle on that f R.I.P service for the washer was going to run around $70-80, added around $30 for the dryer part, and $80-90 for the igniter (vs. the $700 or so I was looking at for a new gas stove). I'm happy, happy, happy, and would call these guys again in a minute if I needed appliance service.

I called d**** out because I smelled something burning in my refrigerator. They came out the next day and was able to diagnosis the problem. Apparently when I shut the doors on my refrigerator the part that would make the lights turn off in the fridge was not working and the lights were running 24/7, which caused the burning smell because it was getting so hot from being on that long, it was melting the plastic. The gentlemen ordered the part and came back in about a week. Everything was replaced and fixed in about 1/2 hours time. He was very professional and I would definitely call d**** again.

We could not have asked for a better service, diagnosed and fixed it the same day.

He was not able to fix the washer. Turned out that the problem was not with the washer, but with the drain pipe.

My oven had stopped working. I called D**** Appliance on a Monday afternoon and they came out the next day. They were right on time which was a pleasant surprise. The repair person was very nice and professional. After diagnosing the problem they had to go get a part. They went above and beyond working with my time constraints and had my oven fixed they very same day. The service was awesome and the cost was very fair. I will definately use them for my repairs in the future!

After an examination of the unit, I decided it would be better to replace the machine. He gave me some advice, and while I was writing the check, he noticed that the door on my refrigerator needed adjusting and he fixed that. I will definitely call them the next time!

Very straight forward, honest. I called to get a repair done on my dryer, an appointment was made, the repair person was on time and courteous. Problem was fixed for a fair price.

The repair technician answered my call at 7:30 in the morning; he said he'd stop by that afternoon to take a look at the problem. He called before arriving to be sure we were available and was able to get to us by 5pm the same day! The repair was easy so he just replaced the broken part. He was fair, honest, and he balanced what I needed against the cost, making recommendations to keep my cost down. Excellent service!
