John Brunette came to the house to give us our estimate. He was very thorough and asked lots of questions about what we wanted for our porch. He was very professional. He got us the estimate about a week later with a very detailed plan for the new porch. He had to come back a few times with revisions to the plans as we continued to refine the plan with finishing touches. John was great throughout the process calling with updates and notifying us when there would be delays. The workers arrived every day at 7:30 am and worked very hard. They got the roof done in two days and were very careful about cleaning up my shrub bed to get all the nails and old shingles. They removed the refuse regularly. My new screened porch looks terrific and I'm very happy. I would definitely call on them again for other home upgrades.

My husband and I couldn't have had a better experience. I was so impressed with the work the cost and especially with the crew that showed up everyday on time and ready to work. They were prompt, friendly and made use of every hour, including short lunch times. I have and will continue to recommend them to any future prospects. Everything about the experience was a good one. Not one complaint from us. True professionals......!

Clean up was done everyday that the builders were here. When the job was completed all debris was removed within a day of completion. They did a great job. The builders were respectfull and professional. We were very satisfied with the work and the crew. We would recommend Burnette's Home Improvement

The estimate was free. I used them before and I think that they are straight shooters and I did not have anything I disliked about them. I had done work with two companies in the past and it was like flipping the coin and going with the other instead. I would definitely consider them again for an estimate.

I got four estimates from four Lansing-area roofing companies. The representatives from all four companies seemed quite competent, and all of them provided detailed written estimates very promptly. Three of the four reps recommended Owens Corning and/or CertainTeed shingles; the other rep recommended GAF shingles--all good products. After doing some research online, I decided to go with the CertainTeed Landmark Premium shingles. The estimated prices for the entire job ranged from ca. $9,320 to $11,440. Brunette's price was about $500 higher than that of the lowest estimate, but it included a "SureStart PLUS" warrantee from CertainTeed that extends the standard SureStart duration and coverage to 50 years; is fully transferrable one time for 15 years; covers materials, labor, tear-off and disposal for 50 years; covers the contractor's workmanship for 25 year; and, increases the wind warranty to 130 for 15 years. I chose Brunette Roofing to do this job for all of these reasons: 1) this company was recommend to me by a friend; 2) Mr. Mark Brunette, the owner, was easy to work with, he responded to all of my calls promptly, and I got the impression that he is knowledgeable, experienced, and honest; 3) the estimated price for the job was fair (and, FYI it ended up being very close to the actual cost, which was slightly higher than the estimate because of some rotten wood that had to be replaced); and, the warranty that was included in the final price ($9,888) is much better than those offered by the other three companies. During the installation of the new roof an outdoor light fixture was damaged (perhaps it was hit by a ladder or falling waste material). Although no one noticed this until after the new roof was installed and after I had paid for it, Brunette Roofing hired an electrician to fix the fixture. After looking at the unit, the electrician decided to replace the entire light fixture with a better one. This repair work was done promptly and carefully, and Mr. Brunette did not ask me to pay anything for either the labor or the light fixture! That's what I call "excellent service"! It should be obvious, if you've read the above, that I would not hesitate to recommend Brunette Roofing & Siding, Inc. for any residential roofing job large or small.
