 + -1 moreEverything went smoothly - the technician was very friendly & professional & worked quickly.
Description of Work: I called Maple Appliance to set up an appointment to have my washer and oven looked at. The receptionist was very helpful and told me someone could come out that day. She phoned me when the technician was on his way...it was within 2 hours of my first call. My washer is over 15 years old & we've never put any money in it...the technician told me he thought I should repair it...he said it's a good, solid washer and they don't make these kind anymore. $190 to replace the transmission and he had the part on his truck. He also looked at my oven and tried a couple of different things and diagnosed the problem as being the broiler element. He did not have one with him but called the office and had them order it. He also looked at my microwave oven...the oven works perfectly but after replacing the light bulb a couple of different times, the light on the microwave won't work. He called the office to get the cost of the part and told me NOT to fix it...it wasn't worth it. Very friendly & professional and worked quickly. The receptionist called me two days later to set up an appointment to put the broiler element in. The technician was at my home by noon and fixed it quickly. I would definitely call them again if needed.

 + -1 moreThey did a very good job and I did not have to pay that $2000 and just had to pay for the service call which was $60. Dave was the guy who came and he was very good. He is coming back next week to put a new gasket in the inside of the refrigerator.
Description of Work: I have a whole warranty program on the appliances in my house, so if one of those goes down, I call the insurance company and they set up a contractor to come and take care of the work. One of the people they sent out was from Allen Appliance Co. They came and did a major repair on the compressor on my subzero refrigerator on the freezer part. That is a very expensive repair. He was here a week ago.

 + -1 moreWhen I first called Maple Appliance Repair, there was only "a good chance" as the estimation that a repair technician would actually be out today. Within 2-3 hours, Maple called me and said that we were next on their list. within 30 minures of that call, the technician arrived and got right to work. Within minutes, the problem was diagnosed. The technician gave me the price, and verified that he had the part on his truck. In about 40 minutes, the part was installed and the dryer was woking just fine. I am very satisfied that they got out here on the same day, and that the part was available so they didn't have to return on a later day. The technician was very professional; he knew what he was doing and got right to work. Because of some recent surgery, I was not able to be of much help in moving stuff away from the front of the dryer, or even moving the damp clothing from the dryer. All he asked me to do is switch on the light (I sure appreciate this!)
Description of Work: We have a Kenmore gas dryer that had a "no heat' condition. The technician found the problem right away (a thermactor). The part was on his truck, and he had it installed and had the dryer working again in less than an hour.

 + -1 moreTheir service was excellent. On a scale of 1-10 I would give them a 10. They were on time, and they fixed the problem rapidly. The guy knew his stuff. He also indicated that I had a basically good piece, and that the part that went bad was the same part that is on virtually every other washer out there. The part that went bad was the same part that you can find on any other major brand of washers. I liked that he educated me on my washer.

 + -1 moreI called Maple late yesterday and requested a service call to fix the microwave. They promised to send someone out next day. The service man, Curtis (in previous report I called him Chris, sorry) was out within 24 hours, diagnosed the problem, and fixed it. All at reasonable cost. Just can't beat that!
Description of Work: This was our second call to Maple for service. Our microwave went out and, since it is a built-in, I did not want to tackle the job of removing it to check the fuse, being concerned that I might be getting in over my head if it was more than just the fuse.

 + -1 moreThey were able to come out on the day I called, which was great. The dishwasher only needed one small part and the repair was done within 45 minutes. I was happy with the service but the price was very high. I'm sure the part was no more than $20, so charging $166 for a 45 minute repair felt unreasonable. Not sure why I let him finish the job, (maybe because the dishwasher parts were lying on the kitchen floor when he gave me the estimate...).

I called Maple Appliance on Sunday night and they called me at all available numbers on Monday morning by 7:30 am. They were able to get service out by noon on Monday at my request due to my work schedule. The technician diagnosed the problem immediately; had all parts on the truck and had the fridge fixed within one hour.
