They seemed very knowledgeable and efficient. They were very professional. They were reasonable so I chose them.

They were great and cheaper than other people. They were really reliable, professional, and all in all outstanding.

Andrew was our first contact with the company. He was extremely professional, well-spoken, listened well, and was even respectful of the new carpet and took off his shoes without being asked. He have me a 15min evaluation and approximate dollar amount for the job. We had to delay him by several weeks during closing which didn't seem to affect him at all. He was very flexible with the scheduling. We finally gave him the green light and he started the job the very next day, leaving me with a 3 weeks till completed date. For a job of this size, no problem. He started with the areas where we "knew what we wanted" and were a safe bet...the basement, one color. It was done in a few days. We gave him a few other colors to work with which his team started hammering out fast on the main floor. So fast in fact that we halted him on the base color because we didn't know if we wanted to change it or not. This didn't phase his team either. They maintained their productivity even with our wishy-washiness. We finally decided on the base color, and he did it with ease. He even was asked to replace an area that was already complete with a new color (because that's just how terrible we are). We gave him the final layout plan for the upstairs which included some severe accent walls and colors, two of which were to be patterned (paint) walls. We changed our minds again on another accent wall color, he fixed it as if it were the first run. His patterned wall in the front turned out so well that I had to stop him on the second one and have him match the pattern of the first one, which on a super dark base color wasn't likely the easiest. Once again, modified it like a champ. He then added that the tape bled through in a few small areas and would like to do some touch-ups. We're asking for the product from our builder so he can take care of that. This again is completely normal and acceptable. A few other things... He and his entire crew were extremely careful about everything, did very clean work (including the freehand lines at the ceiling), maintained a clean work environment, was punctual, respectful, efficient, well spoken, and extremely flexible. He was even willing to compensate us for some damage done to our new sod, which was never proven to be caused by his team by the way. We declined such his unnecessary offer. Oh, they also finished the job (minus the touch-ups) 2 weeks ahead of schedule with no compromise to quality and cleanliness. I only have two kind-of negatives to say. The cost was average in that I know I could have gotten the job done cheaper elsewhere, but it's often the case that you get what you pay for. The cost was secondary to all of the positives mentioned above and I'd do it again. The second really doesn't have to do with the crew itself, but rather the products it used. Quality-wise, no issue with the product yet. However, there was a dramatic difference in color between the color wheel provided by their vendor choice (Shermin Williams) and what you actually see on the wall, assuming a white base. Again, this isn't a knock on their company or their work, only in that this is the product they use. So be very careful when selecting those colors...test it first. Pending Andrew remains with the company, we will hire Paragon over and over again for all of our paint jobs and will be the only referral I'll be making to friends and family. They really blew away our expectations. Good job guys!

The end product of the deck and fences was good. Power washing also was very good. However we had some real problems with the front door and porch, but in the end the work was acceptable. Unfortunately the prep work ended up being a much larger project than projected, and they were under pressure to get to other projects so staff was inconsistent. Some were very good, and others didn't seem to have a clue, requiring constant supervision. In the end there were multiple problems that had to be fixed before I would pay them. I was really unhappy with the prep for the front porch. I had been told that they would power wash all to remove mold on the wood. Unfortunately that was not done, and they just pointed over the mold. Additionally paint was dripped on the brass door knob and allowed to dry. When I pointed this out the next day, the painter used nail polish remover to clean. Unfortunately this destroyed the finish on the door knob, so they had to replace. Other problems: The acidic stripper that they used (and did really work) was dumped on our grass and killed a large area of grass. The painter for the front door and porch had white paint on his shoes and walked white paint onto the front lawn. None of these problems were show stoppers, but I was very stressed trying to sell our Portage home. Rob (the owner) patiently listened to my stressed concerns and made sure the problems were resolved immediately.

My initial contact for an estimate was outstanding. Andrew took detailed notes of what I wanted done and returned a quote within days of our initial contact. Brad arrived exactly on time on the day we selected to do the job. Not only was the prep and painting (all wood trim on lower floor rooms) done perfectly, it was done in the time framework initially stated. Brad left nothing for me to clean up and not a drop of paint showed up where it didn't belong. He rocks! My overall impression of Paragon is that it is a very intelligently run business that also does superior work. A pleasure to deal with. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

I called Paragon Painting and left a message describing the job. Within 24 hours hours I was contacted back by Brad to let me know tha this partner Andrew would be out to walk through the job and provide me with an estimate. The next day Andrew showed up on-time and we walked through the house looking at every room and taking measurements. Within a day I recieved a fair estimate for the work via email. The work started on the day we discussed in the lower level of the house. Everything was completely covered and taped that needed to be (I did not have them cover the flooring because that is my next project getting rid of the 23 year old carpetting). When I came home from work that day, I was amazed at the progress in stripping the old wall paper from the downstairs bedrooms. Andrew (one of the owners) and his co-worker Andrew were quietly working away. I mean quietly as I work off hours on some days and would get home about noon and head off to bed. Neatness - these guys are clean. Everything that can gets moved to the center of the room and covered, then when they are done the wood trim was thouroghly wiped down, the floor vacuumed, and the room items returned to the original location. Andrew is very conscientious of the work and would be the last one to leave at the end of the day so we could go over what was done and what the plan for the next day was. Every person from the painting crew that I met (five all together) was very friendly and professional. The original paint color I had picked for a bedroom looked great on paper, but came out white when it was applied to the walls and ceiling (due to the lighting in the rrom). Andrew was more than happy to repaint the walls a darker shade of the color and it came out fantastic. What I did not expect was Andrew to look ahead to the color I had picked for the Master Bedroom and point out that the color intensity was about the same as the room I did not like. Because of this diligence to getting things right and knowing the entire job, I was able to have that color darkened up before the Master Bedroom started to be painted. The job is complete, my house looks fantastic, and I am pleased to have met Andrew and his crew. It is great to see that craftsmanship, quality, pride in work and true professionalism still exists in the world.

Brad from Paragon came out for an estimate to paint our Kitchen. The particulars: Patch, sand & prepare surfaces; we supplied the paint (latex); 2 coats ceiling (white); and 2 coats walls (3 walls- tan, 1 wall- green). We thought the estimated price was fair and agreed to services. During the project , all cabinets, counters and floors were covered and the work area was cleaned at night and when the job was completed. The line between the ceiling and walls is straight and clean, as are the wall seams were the two different colors come together. There was no over painting on any of the cabinets, counters, moldings, tile or windows. The job took two days and we are very happy with the outcome. We will definitely use Paragon again for our painting projects and would recommend them to anyone in need of a good painter.

I called the company and explained that problems had developed with the person who was painting my house and the job was unfinished. I needed to have repairs done and the job finished as soon as possible. Brad was very understanding and willing to help. An appointment was set up for Andrew to come out to look the job over. He got an estimate to me quickly through email. Work was scheduled to start in a reasonable time period. Andrew and one other painter worked together and finished the job in a couple days. Andrew was very polite and professional. He would call if he was going to be running late. He always asked if things were looking as I expected and was always willing to do whatever was asked of him. By the time the job was finished it was more like he was a friend than just a painter doing a job. I would definately hire Paragon Painting to do more work in the future if needed and would highly recommend them to anyone.

On tme-on schedule--no mess--the work looks great.

Paragon performed excellently just like when we used them before. If you read my last review of the company, you'll notice that I said they are not the cheapest out there, and again, there's a reason why. You will always get what you pay for, and with Paragon you're paying for quality and professional results. I'll continue to use Paragon for any work I need done at my house.

We contacted Brad and asked for an estimate. He scheduled a visit to our home within 24 hours of our first contact.. He was extremely professional and courteous during his visit and provided an estimate within 48 hours. We accepted the bid and scheduled the job. Brad showed up promptly as promised. He and his crew were very careful first to cover everything and tape everything carefully to ensure that the furniture, carpets and trim were protected. The areas to be painted were quite large (high ceilings) and Brad finished in 4 days as promised. He did an absolutely exquisite job and I would HIGHLY recommend him without ANY reservation. I will definitely call him again for my next painting job. He and his crew are OUTSTANDING!

Rob set up an appointment, at my convenience, within a week of my contacting him and got back to me within a few days with an itemized quote for the work to be done. We conversed almost totally by email throughout the process which was my preference. He was very easy to talk with and seemed to be very customer oriented. I was pretty specific about when I needed the work to be completed and he made it happen. He covered EVERYTHING with drop clothes and in the end, we were very happy with the finished paint job. I highly recommend Rob and his team.

It mostly didn't go. Communication was poor.

Rob and his team did an excellent job. We purchased the home and had a 2 week window to get the whole house painted prior to our move in. Paragon fit me into their schedule and completed the job on time. Each member of his crew was 1st rate. i would definitely use Paragon again for any of my painting needs.

I called Rob for an estimate in March. He came out the next day and was right on time. I got 2 other estimates that were significantly higher than Paragon's. We thought there must be some reason why their quote was so low, but since they had such good reviews on Angie's List, we investigated further. I asked Rob for a reference list, which he provided and I called all of them. I could not find a reason *not* to hire them. Angie's List saved us about $1000 on this job! Rob and his crew took great care in the painting of our home. The job took a little longer than we were originally told (9 working days), and some days there was only one painter here, but they did not cut any corners and did a fantastic job. They worked on a Saturday and Sunday when the weather did not cooperate through the week, and 2 days the painter (Jeremy) stayed until dark. Rob and Jeremy were very responsive when we had concerns or questions and were very pleasant to work with. A great experience from start to finish...we would definitely hire them again!

Brad and his crew worked hard and did excellent work. There was a lot of prep work to do and the two bathrooms had faux finishes that needed to be sanded and primed. They were very professional, accommodating and cleaned up well. We did end up paying more than the estimate, but it was fair because they had to do more priming than anticipated. I ended up not liking the color I chose for the kitchen. Brad was very nice and even offered to come in on a Sunday to repaint it, which we didn't need him to do. He did return when it worked for us and painted the new color, which turned out really well. He gave us a discounted price on the repaint. Overall, a great job. His estimate, too, was significantly less than another firm in town. We would highly recommend Paragon Painting.

The house we bought was a mess. I used Angies List to find Rob, based on other reviews. I never thought they could get the mold off - it looks amazing, like new soffit, gutters and siding. They worked very hard all day, used Simple Green (environmentally friendly) and scrubbed some areas. Rob brought two other guys so they could get everything done in one day, since we have a big party coming up. Very respectful, professional and responsive. The highest points were the worst, and they looked as great as everything else. Landscaping was not damaged at all. Great job - just wanted others to know that if they need work done, this is a good group.

I spoke to Brad who told me that his crew was very busy but made an appointment to give me an estimate. Prior to the appointment I was called and a voicemail was left for me by Brad that he wasn't sure that my job would be "worthwhile" . At that point I was very turned off by his attitude. In my opinion you should never suggest to a customer that his/her business is not worthwhile. Brad called me again to make sure I understood that he was canceling the appointment and when we spoke he again said that he didn't have the resources and did not want to waste either of our time.Bottom line is that while I appreciate Brad's candor, his attitude was offensive to me as a potential client. They may be great painters but beware of calling them if you have a small job as they only seem interested in large scale work. Update: 5/14/12: Brad called me personally to apologize for offending me and stated he would be more careful with his choice of words in the future. I appreciated that he was willing to do that.

Brad & his crew painted 4 rooms - the kitchen had very high peaks. All were done beautifully. He also did some exterior stain work which included the stripping, staining & sealing of the front entry door. It turned out great. We requested that he try and stain some of our interior metal doors to look like wood grain. The results were unbelieveable. They look like "real wood doors" They were professional & on time which is hard to find when it comes to painters. Being a full time employed homeowner I loved the fact that they took down all my paintings, knik-knacks etc and then put them all back exactly where they had been. We will definately hire them again & reccomend them to anyone looking for a professional painting contractor.

Brad and his crew came in over the Thanksgiving week and did an excellent job painting our entire house. He kept me abreast of everything each day (we stayed at a hotel while they painted), and made sure to contact me whenever he felt it necessary. He had a copy of the house key and started each day and ended without us needing to be there to open up or lock up. The couple of times I dropped by hen he was gone, I made sure each door and window was locked-- unnecessary as he had locked up the house tight! My house is an older house with plaster walls that have a lot of layers of paint on the walls. Not only did he cover up the old paint perfectly, but he was able to sand down the wallpapering in our master bedroom that had been on the walls for who knows how long. Even better, he did a great job sanding and puttying in the cracks in the ceiling from the house settling over the years. I recommend him highly. Why a 'B' on price? Well, he's not the cheapest in town, but his work definitely makes it the least expensive over time. I am willing to pay the extra for quality knowing that I won't have to get the paint job redone anytime soon. On a side note, I had my home repainted four years ago from someone I found on Craigslist. MISTAKE! Went for the cheap price and boy did he do a bad job. Pay for the quality service with Paragon and you'll be pleased you did!

Paragon Painting was outstanding. They did everything required, on budget and on schedule. They were the low bid and delivered excellent quality work. I even had a change request and got an extremely reasonable estimate for the costs of the change and they stuck to it. The entire experience exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend Paragon Painting to my friends and family.

The job went perfectly from the first moment of contact to the end when payment was sent out. We do not have enough words for professionalism and cleanliness that was exhibited here. This is a wonderful company that did a superb job. Highly recommended!

The experience with the person was professional, easy, polite and complete. After the estimate was sent, via email, they called back to see if i had used someone else. I had. My selection was based on the bottom line since all the estimates and persons/companies were of equal quality in my opinion and stated same estimate of cost. Did not use but not for any negative reason.
